Used 2008 Jeep Liberty SUV Consumer Reviews
Everything is great except the engine
I've had my Liberty Sport now for about 3 months. I was first drawn to its rugged good looks and 4x4 reputation. I have to say it the interior is extremely comfortable and the seats are very supportive. Acceleration from a stop is very good, but highway passing... forget it. The V6 feels so sluggish that you have to jam your foot on the gas pedal to get the transmission to downshift into 3rd gear. Everything on this Jeep is great, but they should have revamped the engine and transmission instead of using the version from the old Liberty.
I am having issues with the heater
I replaced a vacuum hose and heater hose and the heater doesn’t heat at all. Also when I take off it isn’t shifting out the RPMs are going up to 5 unless I let off the gas like I’m driving a automatic like a standard. Can someone please give me a info about my Jeep.

It's always something
Bought this used... Within a day had a misfire, replaced spark plug, coil pack and finally it was a fuel injector... Next issue was the poor handling this thing has on the highway... Windshield started fogging constantly and yes I tried the defroster, so figured out it needs a heater core... This one has the sky slider (lucky me) so I have constant wind noise that sounds like the door is open going down the road and the sky slider does not work and costs thousands to replace or repair, oh yeah it leaks when it rains too so yay for water damage... Just sitting in it one day and it starts overheating... The Axel nuts all the way around are legit rusted into non existent blobs... I have had it for a month... If your looking into purchasing one of these and its a 2008 don't do it... They seem to be money pit's...

What's with Consumer Reports Magazine
We love this car. It handles great, easy to park and has a comfortable ride. We don't understand the negatives given by Consumer Reports Magazine. Only two things they wrote fit with our experiences driving this car. We have owned other Jeeps and this is our favorite.
