I test drove the Honda Pilot, the Hyundai Santa Fe and the Grand Cherokee. I test drove the Grand Cherokee last and it sold me. It was hands down no contest. I researched Edmonds.com for quite a while. For my driving style, the Grand Cherokee is the perfect fit. I researched the 3.6 V6 Pentax engine including a video on manufacturing, very powerful V-6! There is one feature in the car that I don't use, not yet. It is the automatic shut off when coming to stop and holding your brake pedal. During the breakdown period it is not good to subject the engine to repetitive starts versus saving gas. I am not sold on "regular gas', I fill it up with medium grade. No need for "premium gas".The leather seats are very comfortable and the lumbar support is excellent. The display screen is very intuitive and easy to use. The hatchback electronic feature is a great addition. One touch to open, one touch to close, it is that simple and effortless. I like to do basic maintenance in my car. This one is clear off the ground, no need to jack it up to drain the oil! Most importantly, where I live and when it snows I will not call sick at work that often because I can't get out of the neighborhood, I know the Jeep will get me out!

Awesome vehicle Held up well in a rear collision

We bought it used in 2019. Had absolutely zero problems and we travel a lot for business. Made it to 115,000 mi and was hit hard in the rear by another SUV at a stoplight. They were doing over 40 and didn't brake at all. Hit us hard enough we were knocked all the way through the light. Messed up the back end but it was drivable all 250 mi home. The other vehicle was towed. Hubby took one look at it and said he'd never buy anything but a Jeep again. Even the officer was impressed there wasn't more damage done.

Love my Jeep

I’ve had the Sterling Edition for a little over a month and love it. I’ve owned two GCs in the past and this is light years beyond my 2005. The only issue I’ve read about is the OEM tires (Bridgestone) aren’t great in the snow.

Purchased 04-2018 First heavy rain between the wipers and the headlights Both myself and the passenger couldn't see the road. Terrible headlights and wipers! Purchased Rainex wipers and brighter headlights...wipers great headlights out of wack....took to dealer 22 times still a safety hazard...just can't see...the lights aren't bright enough...Called Lemon Law won $5000 out of court. Electrical Engineers that designed the dash need to be replaced. Tell me if this makes sense: If you turn on the NAV system you MUST first turn on the radio...then once the Map appears on the screen you have to MUTE the radio. If you turn the radio OFF you lose the MAP.....???? Hi Tech????? The entire dash is distracting....on my 2007 Focus and my 2005 Acura MDX if I wanted more heat I simply turned a knob towards the RED If I wanted to direct the airflow, I either slide the lever or touch the screen Not on this piece of junk....how many accidents did this cause. you must find the 'climate' icon.....then find the icon for air flow then find the UNLIT arrow that directs the inside temp then swerve to the left so you don't run into the telephone pole. Same for the Radio.....Focus and Acura: punch a button to change the station Jeep: If you don't have your screen 'ON' Push the radio knob....mute the radio....find the 'radio icon' select the new station.....swerve to avoid the tree. If I keep this piece of junk until my lease end I will probably need a new spine. I spend my pleasure ride avoiding even man hole covers because the tires are inflated to 36 psi as per instructions. the sun visors to about 6" short on each side. The windshield has hardly no tint and the dealer should have given me a pair of Ray Bans. Make sure you emergency brake is released because you hear a single beep PERIOD....if you miss it too bad. Going to take the loss and get rid of this piece of junk before I take down a telephone pole or tree. Will trade and take the loss. Update kept the vehicle only because COVID and inflation hike Used Cars 40%. Michelin tires were gone at 21,000 mi. Will sell soon when and if prices go back to normal

My new jeep Grand Cherokee had the passenger side seat belt get stuck. Took it to the dealer and they said they would order the part. That was Dec 2018. The part is now due in March 15, 2019. I can't have a passenger in the front seat. The car has 5,000 miles and is now 7 months old. Every time the part does not come in they give me a new date. I've got a claim in the Jeep national office which is complete BS lip service. I will NEVER buy another jeep.
