Theft Problem/ Easy to break in
Hi! My husband & I own a Grand Cherokee 2017. We have had the car for more than a year and it drives beautifully. Its luxurious and very comfortable ( as a driver). However, the back seat is a problem especially if you have a car seat. Its really really tight where we actually have to move the passenger seat frontward. Which makes it hard if you always need a passenger seat to be occupied. My number one concern is the alarm system as its really poorly made. They tried breaking in our car ( breaking the back window) but they failed. So, they tried again this week and actually succeeded in stealing it. I mean how can a $40,000 + car be that easy to hijack and steal? I am so disappointed as it caused us a lot of stress & money damages we weren’t anticipating. Our belongs from stroller to car seat to our glasses all gone. Shouldn’t Jeep have been more careful when creating a safety system for this car? By no means I feel safe with it anymore.

Great Jeep
I miss the 1987 Grand Cherokee it hAd so much room and the 360 motor was dependable but this be grand Cherokee is comfortable. Reliable. Goes great in snow or mud. It has plenty of electronics. WiFi. Chargers. It’s a great vehicle. Give it a drive. My jaguar has the ess it can be turned off so you don’t have to drive with stop and start

Updated 10/31/2018 - Reliability Improved.
Update 10/31/2020 - four years. Traded the Jeep for a RAM 1500 truck. Not because I was unhappy but because a truck is a better fit for me. The Jeep was awesome once we got the initial headache over with. No issues whatsoever after the 4WD and paint quality were handled. Final analysis: I’d buy the Jeep again. Update 10/31/2019 - Three years into ownership, 38,000 miles. Just added new tires but that's it. No trouble at all and I finally feel like I made the right decision to keep the Jeep. Just wish the vehicle had been this good initially. Update 10/31/2018 - All problems below have been clear for the last 12 months (12500 miles in that time). No new issues and after 25k miles, I have developed a degree of faith in both Jeep/Chrysler and the Grand Cherokee. It continues to be a fantastic ride and now appears reliable. Stay tuned. Purchased the 5.7 liter hemi version September 30, 2016. As of October 30, 2017 I am completely dissatisfied with the build quality. 4WD system required two trips and one week in the shop. Rusting(!!!) roof was initially declined by Chrysler's warranty department, they have since changed their mind. The vehicle is a little over a year old and has less than 15k miles. Once I finally get my Jeep back this week, I'm headed straight to a Honda dealer to buy a reliable vehicle. I have nothing good to say about my failed experience with Jeep/Chrysler.

2017 limited 75th anniversary edition 3.6l
I have owned it for five years. It rides nice in my opinion. It has all the comfort options. Panoramic power roof, HID headlights, and the towing package. No recalls so far. I am at 75k miles at the moment. Only expenses so far are routine maintenance and two vvs modules. I wouldn't trade it.

great value for money
I owned several types of sedan & SUV, after 32 months having GC Laredo with 3.6 petrol engine I would say with GC my experience went good, easy & nice to drive within the city or even in HW, I cross distance with 1000KM without stopping yet I wasn't feeling tired, fuel economy went well especially in speed Crouse unless you want to run over 140KMH, interior quality would be enhanced, inside the city with eco mode you feel the car lazy on 8th speed thanks for manual gear shifter, overall basic specs on Laredo as value for money cover my need & expectation, sensors & traction control steering angles....not like BMW X5 :) but that very normal for the price what you afford. driving GC will not make you feel bored.
