This is my first car. It has great comfort and styling! I really like the technology included in it. It is very good on reliability and is affordable. “If you take care of it, it will take care of you!”

This is my second 2014 Grand Cherokee. Why? Because at 500 miles, the first one had a total and complete transition failure. Like could not turn the car off, take it out of gear, nothing. Should have walked away then but we had a bad experience with a Suburban once, had it taken back under lemon law, and our next 'burb was great. So my new car, a 2014 JGC Summit has had the following: Nav System failures - shows me in a completely different city than I am in, constant radio issues (we are now on radio number 3), phone connect issues, remote start doesn't turn on A/C, and now there are days when the car simply will not start. At all. Chrysler is crap. Beautiful car that will not run.

Nice sturdy vehicle but...cheap parts?

I really do like this vehicle but I have had some issues that I've had to deal with. 100K had the PLASTIC oil filter housing on top of the engine start leaking oil due to a crack. Radiator had a leak also. Never had to replace a radiator at 100K. Last really annoying issue (at 150K) was to have to pay $1800 to have my climate control "doors" replaced behind the dash which involves taking the whole dash off. Very involved and expensive repair due to, wait for it...a PLASTIC gear that broke. I truly hope Jeep has improved these design flaws. These are all common problems I've found out and it's not like 2014 was a redesign year either.

Love My Diesel

I have the 3.0 Eco Diesel and I love it. Great power and fuel economy. I get 20 in the city and up to 30 on highway trips. Turbo lag, well...it lags. Not horrible just noticeable compared to my wife’s gas car. In interior well made and quiet. Comfy seats with heating and cooling. Only gripe is a rattle. At idle the tail pipe sounds a little loose. I can put my foot on it it stops. Probably just need a new hanger. Not the Jeep’s fault though. Would definitely recommend, especially the diesel for country and distance driving.

Actually a Summit 2WD with the 5.7 Hemi. I've had it for two month and like my 2011 RAM has been a dream to own and drive... It's a bit thirsty but the delivery of power when needed , great... The fit and finish is still outstanding considering this is a seven year old SUV..... It is a keeper..
