Great Truck
I had rented the JGC for two days earlier in a business trip. The rental totally changed my perception of the Jeep brand. The drive was smooth and the internal furnishing and electronics are as good as my other car, which was BMW Z4. At the conclusion of the rental, the truck was rear-ended by a Toyota Camry. The Camry's hood was badly damages, but the JGC has only a very slight impression of Toyota's emblem on its plastic bumper (the rented JGC has no tow hitch). When my wife said she wanted an SUV, that became my first choice. We tested a couple others, but both decided on the JGC. It has only been a couple days, but had been extremely happy with it. Everything comes as expected.
Blast to the Future, Not the Past!!!
I recently purchased the GC Overland in late January. I traded a smaller Honda Accord sedan for this SUV and I am loving every second of it. My Jeep is the beautiful gold/cashmere and I received it with complimentary tinting from the dealer since I was waiting for several days for it to arrive. I live in MS and it handles the rough and lower quality roads we have SO much better than my Accord did because of the bigger wheels and better suspension setup. The 20" wheels that come with the Overland really bring the car together and make it look so much more expensive than it actually was for me. The engine and transmission really make the car feel so much more responsive and sporty than an SUV.

Great Jeep, horrible Service
I've enjoyed my jeep over the years, found it to be something I enjoy driving, usually doesn't have problems and I feel safe. The problems started right away however but weren't a huge deal, the only way to charge your phone also slaves the phone to the car which means calls and listening to music must go through the car but the jeeps technology is awful and doesn't work well. Its complicated and honestly has resulted in several times when my phone has died because plugging my phone in the charge means I can't use the phone. Secondly the way in which you shift into park, reverse and drive is awful! Even after this many years I am constantly making mistakes, on many occasions I've tapped the shifter and all of a sudden I find the car in neutral which has almost caused a few accidents. Finally my car horn died, I took it in 10 weeks ago now and the dealership said they would get back to me when they had the part in. Months later the dealership is still telling me Jeep has yet to send them the part. Then I called Jeep to get things moving because it's illegal to drive my car without a working horn and the person I spoke with was rude and less than helpful! At this point, I either have to sell my Jeep because Jeep can't produce a simple part or get this fixed!

Looks great, Build quality is a true Chrysler.
I bought my Jeep a year ago and have waited until now to write this review because I wanted to give it a thorough testing. I love the looks both inside and out. I like the features and got a good deal. The build quality just sucks. I'm normally a Toyota person but bought this after being disappointed with the ride of the new 4Runner. I was hesitant about buying a Chrysler due to their poor reputation for quality and it turns out I should've listened to myself.
Awesome ride!
Love the look and feel of the Jeep SRT! Power, handling and controls are top of the line.

The Worst They're Made Of
Well I had written a long review, but it didn't post because of Edmunds glitch. In short, transmission not smooth: jerks. Air suspension message error when not using it and not hot outside. Uconnect issues. Key Fob liftgate problems. Remote Start HVAC problems. Leather seats and dash prematurely cracking. Uconnect a joke compared to other systems: no convenience features such as Pandora, iheart radio, etc. Voice dictation laggy. Yelp search is a joke.
I would not give this car to my worst enemy!
Do not buy!!! Multiple recalls. Poor quality.

Good Luck:
Bought this vehicle and it has been nothing but problems. Safety issues and quality issues. Good luck with your purchase.
Love it and hate it....
Although I like the design, ride and comfort, the quality is severely lacking. This is my 2nd Jeep in a few years. I was really hoping they got it right this time. Cons: 1. Uconnect system has impressive specs, but doesn't work as designed. Had my radio replaced once due to system crashes, poor radio receptions am/fm/sat, nav issues, the list goes on. I am a software engineer and it is inconceivable to me that Chrysler would release such a buggy system without comprehensive testing. 2. Transmission is better than my 2011 JGC, but at lower speeds and gears is a real clunker. It's scary some of the sounds it makes. I'm really apprehensive about it breaking down one of these days.
Catalytic converter 2014 diesel
Had my catalytic converter replaced (under warranty) to the one that serial number ends in AB ... The one that's ends in AA is junk... Now my cat is actually regens on its own. I make it a point to drive 20 highway miles a week at highway speed for regen. I also bought an aftermarket def injector cover since mine injector had malfunctioned twice. I have finally drove my diesel jeep for 40 consecutive days without check engine light going on... This is a first since I bought it

The worst vehicle I have ever owned.
At 82,000 miles the vehicle had to have the following replaced: transmission, radiator, 4 wheel drive transfer case, rack and pinion, and oil coolant housing. The transmission has never worked properly while shifting into different gears. The amount of recalls on this vehicle was too numerous to count. I loved the way the vehicle looked but very disappointed about what was under the hood. I will never buy another jeep.

Chrysler will not stand by the product.
We bought our 2014 Overland in December of 2013. It isn't six months old yet, and the leather is pealing on the lower part of the driver's side seat. We had to make two trips to the dealership in order to have the manager take pictures so that he could then send them to Chrysler. Chrysler says they will not fix it. Too bad, because other than the leather pealing, it is a great vehicle. However, I am afraid to think of what I would have to prove if something went wrong with the drive train. BUYER BEWARE. If they won't fix something small like leather, what will happen with something big?
Best Ever
Loved everything about my 2014 from the first day I owned it. It’s my third GC. It has been very reliable and I still like it enough that I’m not motivated to trade it in on something new. Finally sold the 2014 after 10 years of ownership and never had a single problem with it. Would have bought another but we were no longer in need of a Jeep-like SUV.

So disappointed
I have had a Jeep Grand Cherokee in the past. It was like a little tank. Great ride, sense of safety, held the road. I loved it. Not so much with the 2014 model. It has been in the shop 6 times since I bought it in November 2013. Once for acceleration problems and 5 for radio/navigation inaccuracies.
Best Grand Cherokee we've ever owned!
We've had our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited for 4 years now, having bought it in 2016 with 53k miles. As of December 2020, it is sitting at almost 160k miles, and we love it! Our Jeep's options are the 8.4" navigation system radio, 20" tires and wheels, and a sunroof (the latter of which we don't really use). We have the 3.6L V6 which has plenty of power (as compared to the 4.7L V8-equipped 2005 Grand Cherokee we traded in for it), and using it as a daily commuter, we get close to 25 MPG on the highway. It's so comfortable, and the 8.4" touchscreen in the dash is responsive and has plenty of things to play around with (as does the color screen in the gauge cluster). Speaking of the sound system, it's awesome, and it's the "middle" sound system option with 10 speakers and a subwoofer. The biggest issue we've had over the past 4 years is the typical blend door issue these have, where the passenger side only blows cool air (not warm or ice cold). It's going to likely cost a bit of money to fix, but it will be worth fixing. We are thinking about buying a newer Jeep to replace it with a few more goodies. We've owned several Grand Cherokees over the past 25+ years, and this is the best one we've owned yet. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one. I highly recommend the Grand Cherokee to anyone shopping for an awesome family SUV that has plenty of luxury goodies, and gets awesome MPG for the daily commute!

First SUV after sport lux cars
I have a 2014 JGC Altitude 4x4 with a May 2014 build date, and it is really great so far. I am confident that many of the issues reported in the early builds were software related and have been cleared up. My observed mpg is 17, so that is a little disappointing. I will admit that I have kind of a heavy foot. Coming from a string of luxury sport sedans, the lower mpg is offset in part by getting to use regular gas rather than premium (which costs about 12% less at current prices in my area), and dyno oil rather than synthetic.
Overall is a great car.
The thing I liked most about it was the handling and driving on the highway. Didn't use it off road so don't know how it would perform but does well in snow. The electronics would occasionally not work, back up screen would go to a blue screen and not work. The rear view mirror on the drivers side obscured vision when turning corners. Would probably purchase another one.

Lifters
I drive 300 miles/day to/from work. I bought my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee with thoughts of driving it 200K miles. At 145K on the odometer, check engine light comes on; dealership says its an oil sensor and I have a singing lifter. For ~$4K they can fix it as they say I should have both sides of lifters replaced. When I go on-line to read about this issue, it's a known issue at ~140-150K miles. Although I've enjoyed my Jeep, I'm not getting another due to lack of reliability. 90% of my miles are highway miles, so I did not expect these issues. I've had to replace one set of tires, but the brakes are the originals and I've regularly serviced my Jeep at the Jeep dealership.

2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit Review
I bought this jeep two years ago. It has been in and out of the shop numerous times. I have made some new friends at the dealership. I see them on a regular basics. For the first year or so my engine light kept coming on. Needless to say that in the end, Chrysler ended up replacing my whole fuel system. That is why the light kept coming on. Then I had to have my front two wheel bearings replaced at 30,00 miles. I've never owned a vehicle where they had to be replaced so soon. My left rear window regulator has been replaced two times. I don't like the lag in acceleration. I was getting on the highway and kicked it into passing gear, but the vehicle had a very bad lag to it. I didn't think it was going to go into gear . I have also had some cosmetic issues with the interior as well. I love driving the jeep, and it is an eye catcher, but I hope the 2017's have the bugs taken out of them.

it looks nice..... but dont be fooled
i have 2014 grand cherokee laredo, what a disappointment.... under no conditions should you lease or worse buy one of these mech nightmare chrysler products . the recalls with the transmission, the heating/ac. system failures (I have been to the dealer over 10 times to fix this problem) and it still doesn't work correctly. I had an acadia prior to this and it was great. I Never had so much aggravation in 40 years of owning cars as I have had with this jeep. so my best advice..... you buy one of these because its cool, or looks great, you'll be sorry .... just get a standing appointment at the service dept (for repairs)

2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee transmission failure gone
After getting the Jeep stuck in wet snow the transmission wouldn’t shift into reverse then hard shifts in forward gears. Check engine light came on and it showed a transmission code. Jeep said if that code is coming up then the transmission is done and we’d need a new one- warranty being expired it was replaced on our dime. No more 4 wheeling for this Jeep.

Issue after Issue on 2014 Diesel model
Final straw this week. Wipers on full time. 4 wheel drive low locked on. No turn signals. Dealer has no clue. However, I found the problem mentioned multiple times with 1 Google search. As soon as we get this out of dealer this time we are trading. Sure we will be fleeced as others and Chrysler know this vehicle has way too many issues. When this Jeep is on the road it is absolutely the best highway driving vehicle we have ever driven. But for $55k it should stay out of the dealership. Instead, every year it is something new that no one seems to know how to fix. More rental cars as every trip to dealer is a week or more. Never again Jeep.

Terrible Diesel engine
Multiple returns to dealer for problems with Diesel engine. Towed to dealers twice. Plus a vacation interruption because it went into limp mode. At a dealer now for past two weeks 200 miles from home. Multiple visits for engine light being on. Injectors replaced once. Catalytic converter replaced once. Many more problems. The engine does perform great when not in shop.

New to jeep, hope to keep...but electrical problems bringing doubt
I was excited to buy my first jeep limited v8. However, My car has 2945 miles and this is the second time that all of the lights on the dash have come on and the speedometer does not work. It happened at 50 miles and they said moisture got in spark plug. The dealer did not offer a loaner right away and I had company coming. They ended up giving me a mini van. But today I am still waiting for them to fix my car. I hope this is not going happen again in several miles or I made a big mistake with this car purchase.
Fabulous for the money!
I have a 2014 Jeep grand Cherokee Overland V8 and almost 200,000 miles on it with no major problems to date. I have the dark forest green color that is beautiful and my car is so comfortable and fun to drive. It also has good gas mileage.

Before Fiat came to the rescue, Chrysler was dying
The premium radio and navigation system is out of date, of poor quality and no upgrades available. The sound system has almost no memory, you need to "plug in" a hard drive with your downloads or carry the CDs with you. Worst of all, the driver's seat has some component that will periodically "thump" you at your kidney level on the door side of the seat. I don't know if it is the lumbar support springing out, or something else. Since it only happens periodically, the dealer won't try to fix my new car with this little "gift" from Chrysler. Just like they don't consider the "Premium Navigation" system not knowing that I-49 is open north of Shreveport as being any concern. Service sucks.
Not happy with this Jeep
I bought the Jeep GC Overland because I like the styling and read a great review by Warren Brown in the Wash Post. After owning the car for 2 months, I wish I hadn't purchased it. I've had the car in for service twice already, both times due to faulty computer issues (radio presets gone, clock not working, NAV system freezing), and transmission issues. The first time, I was told that they did software updates which should fix the problem, and the 2nd time, I was told that there is nothing wrong with the car (even though they recognize/identify the issue). Apparently, Jeep doesn't have a fix for the issue, so the issue doesn't exist.
2014 Cherokee Limited diesel
30,000 mi. Had 2 catalytic converters. 7 engine lights. frustrating to have a new car that strands you a 100 miles from home. Even with appointments car is not always looked at on that day. Not right. Always excuse they are short in techs. (So you can an be out 2 days without a car) Oil changes are ok. $60 oil filter on diesel, + oil + labor. first car I SOLD with such low mileage because I was of being in the shop and unreliable

Loving this baby!
Third update- 5 1/2 years of ownership. Still love it. Did have to replace the radio which was extremely frustrating because it had noted issues while still under warranty, but when it finally died completely they would not cover it under the warranty. I have noticed the transmission is a little more “jerky” than previous, but typically only in first and second gear. Other than that, no issues and still love it! Second update with over three and a half years of ownership. Still love it just as much as the day I bought it and will continue to drive for a long time! It was recalled due to people having issues knowing if it was in park before exiting vehicle. Seriously? I've never had any issue and always made sure I looked at the actual screen to see it was in the appropriate gear. No issues with my Jeep at all for me. Updated review after ownership- I have owned this car for three years. While it has had a few recalls, they were for minor issues. I have absolutely loved owning this vehicle. I plan to drive it for a very long time and I am very happy with this purchase! Original review-I traded in a 2013 Honda Pilot that I only owned for 6 months. When I bought the Pilot I actually wanted a Jeep, but due to peer pressure, I caved and bought the Pilot. Well after 6 months of driving what felt like a cardboard box on wheels, I traded for the Jeep Limited. I LOVE this car. It is very responsive and smooth. The interior is exquisite and I love the detailing on the leather seats. The exterior is actually what sold me on this SUV. It looks so refined and streamlined. I actually didn't even realize that it was different than the 2013 models, but oh boy is it. Keyless ignition is awesome. Love the fact that I don't have to dig for my keys in the bottom of my purse.

First Year for 8 Speed Transmission was a FAILURE
Purchased a Certified Used 2014 JGC, and thank goodness it was Certified because at 48K miles, my transmission quit working while I was turning a corner onto a city street. Acted as if it was in neutral and only drove in sport mode and that only worked for about 500 feet, just enough to get me to the gas station. My check airbag light comes and goes, Bluetooth connectivity is pretty awful, and the touchscreen and radio controls act up in extreme temperatures in that they are very delayed to respond or do not respond at all. I have had the vehicle for 12 months, and it has depreciated $10K in value and I cannot trade it in without losing a ton of money. Chrysler should pay off everyone's loans on these pieces of garbage so we can all move on with our lives.

Better than my 2 past Range Rover Sports!
I would compare the Summit Edition to be more like the higher end SUV’s on the market. Ie. Range Rover Sport, Lexus, BMW, etc. This is my second Jeep Summit and unless I suddenly become super wealthly I will keep buying this Jeep. : )

3.0 diesel was having cooling trouble at 40k miles
I'll make this short and simple. Cooling issue led to engine issue. I worked with dealers in a timely matter to get the problem fixed but they couldn't. I serviced this vehicle regularly. Was I pulling a camper that was at 80% of the toeing capacity? Yes. Was my wife , me, abs the hitch weight at 85% capacity? Yes... Did jeep, dodge tell me that this vehicle really wasn't designed for rising 5000lbs? Yes... Ok, then why say it has a 7000 weight capacity, abs throw a diesel engine in it. They tried to make the problem my fault! I won't deal with Chrysler again! No matter how much I want a grand caravan. They could've had another customer, and probably several more with all the people I deterred, had they just fixed THEIR problem!
2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo
8000 miles. Ride and design much better than my 2010 Limited. Averaging 23 to 26 mpg. Comfortable to drive. 8-speed transmission is very clunky. I was so concerned I took it to the dealer and they said no problem. The clunks when coming to a stop remain concerning. Never had such a rough, unrefined transmission in a car, not sure I trust it. V6 is capable and fuel efficient but I do miss my V8. Radio had to be reprogrammed because it would not save Bluetooth phone pairing. There was a service bulletin on that issue. Update - 35000 miles. The Jeep Grand Cherokee has proven to be extremely reliable. My wife loves it and will not let me trade it in (I have never kept a vehicle this long). The transmission has smoothed out so that I now consider it to be remarkable - it never hunts for a gear and shifts are barely noticeable. I purchased the Jeep very early after release so I think a software update corrected the transmission issues described in my original post. Mileage averages about 26mpg - we have very little stop and go driving, mostly rural. I no longer miss the V8, the V6 has plenty of power for normal driving. The Jeep is excellent in snow and ice (we are very rural so we experience this a lot) because of its very good four wheel drive system - traction was considerably improved when I got rid of the stock tires and put on real all terrain/winter tires. The stock tires were terrible. I think the headlights are a bit weak on low beam. The fog lights help when the low beams are on. The high beams are quite useful - used a lot in our area. I found that the "full size" spare I paid extra for was really just a full size temporary tire and not a regular tire. I am displeased with Jeep about the spare tire - its a Jeep, a full size spare should be a real tire not a glorified temporary tire. The weak low beams, poor stock tires and the aforementioned spare tire are my only complaints after almost four years of ownership. Those complaints are very minor in the overall picture. We have had no problems with the Jeep and are very happy with it.

Transmission and Electronics Issues
Overall I like this Jeep so far. I drive 1000 miles for work per week. I track my milage at fuelly.com . I don't get the 24 as promised with 8 spd transmission I get a solid 21 in my last 17 fill ups. I got into a bit of a traffic snag where I had to slam on the breaks etc, it handled far better than I expected it would. Two bad faults, my dashboard keeps going out, dealer doesn't know of a fix, and my transmission lags, sometimes stays in higher gears when breaking, and occasionally 'clunks' Those concerns aside its been 8200 miles and I just hope the dash fails so it can be fixed in warranty.. that seems expensive. My NAV sometimes freezes and I have to shut/restart the car to fix.
Great Car But Can't Pair with Galaxy Note 3
Just bought the Overland 4x4 V6 and I do love it. However, it appears that it still has glitches. I would give it 5 stars but my must have Samsung Galaxy Note 3 can't pair with the Uconnect/Nav/Stereo system. Confirmed with manufacturer that it's still behind in addressing the issue. In fact, if you look at their compatibility list, it's a short list. Pathetic that Jeep/Chrysler/Uconnect can't address this issue. Also, there appears to be some concerns with the Front Collision Warning system. Many can't verify if this system actually works. Also, system appears to work differently when Adaptive Cruise Control is on versus off. Hope Chrysler reads this and address these issues.
Phantom Shifts
I have had my 3.6L Limited for about 5 weeks. I like the features, and find the cabin very comfortable. Having been a Grand Cherokee owner for 23 years, I would have preferred to get the basic one, but the navigation was only available with the upgrade. The only problem I have had is "phantom shifting". Once in a parking lot, I stopped at a crossroad and when I tried to head thru the intersection, the engine revved up, and I was in neutral. Another time, I was driving about 35 mph, when the engine suddenly revved up, an I lost forward momentum. This time it was in second gear. Big problem if the car slows at highway speed and one is being tailgated!! There will be no brake lights.
Hot off the lot!
I traded in a 2012 Chevy Avalanche LS for a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. I am very impressed with the overall build of the vehicle. I can get the same gas range out of the Cherokee as if I was driving the Avalanche. It has a 24 gallon tank with a range of about 620 miles which is very comparable to my Avalanche. Gas mileage has improved in comparison and my insurance dropped $200 every 6 months after switching vehicles. I was not expecting to see that much of a dramatic drop and makes it even more worth the trade! The interior has a touch of European styling and very simple to understand. All my controls are on a touch screen.
Update on the Risky Buy
Well I went from foreign to American after 20 years with some good and bad news here for you all. Make sure you do your research and test things with this Jeep. List of my bads: 1. HVAC was poor at first, just google it or look for hot cabin in youtube. They did some updates that seems to have helped with that issue. 2. Shifter sucks, and now they threw on a SW fix that puts it in park every time I open the door, PIA for towing and backing things up. The new shifter design is finally a normal one, but not on this 2014. 3. Repair frequency is a let down. So far I have had both front bearings replaced around 36000, then the one failed again within 20k. Even though the 20k failure was out of the 3/36 warranty, I called Jeep to complain and they picked up the tab. At 57,000 I started having a odd vibration, now the one front axel is bad. This is covered under the powertrain warranty, so those buying this care new now, take that into consideration. 4. Both front axles have now been replaced as well. 5. Around 75k the radiator started leaking, that was an $1,100 repair bill. 6. Around 5 years in and 90k, the oil cooler leaked, another large bill around 1,000$. Looking at the design of it, it will fail, not a question of when, sad. Goods: 1. Interior is very nice. 2. Unconnect is very easy to use, and logically designed. Had an acura, hated that set up with their dual screens. 3. Noise, this thing is insulated very well. 4. Gas MPG I am routinely getting 24 on the high way and 19-20 mixed. Note, I never keep it in eco mode. 5. Towing, tows my 22ft pontoon boat just fine. Overall I like the car, I wish the rear glass would open up. I like the great res of the reverse camera. I had a Honda Pilot before this that started suffering from the VCM vibration on the highway, just google it, all their 6 cyls have this issue. Honda did nothing for me on that one at 36,000 when it started and Lehigh Valley Honda in PA let me buy new tires telling me the tires were causing it! They new damn well that was not the issue and when I showed them post new tires it is still happening their stance was that it is a characteristic of the car! Done with Honda for a long time, at least Jeep stood by their car and fixed the bearing for me and offered me an apology package for my annoyance with the issues. All cars have issues, just need to decide which ones you can live with or without. For me, I am keeping this till 100k when the warranty is out, then I will decide what is next at that time on the market, happy shopping! Update 9/30/2019 - now at 105,000 miles. Still like the car and trade in value sucks, so will run it another 30k or so and then maybe trade it in. Overall happy with it, but not the repair bills nor the heater still, still not right. 10/5/2020 - Update, now just at 109,000 miles, I had been driving my primary car and saving the jeep for towning duties mostly, hence not many miles on it over the past few months. Despite the repairs I would consider buying another one, actually debating buying one before they change it in 21 and get rid of the V6, I like the V6 for towing. I did drive a 2020 and the trans seemed better than mine. I also test drove a 4runner and while they are supposed to be bulletproof, the seats lack the adjustments and many other features were missing. Tough decision so unless I find the jeep I would want with the exact features this 2014 may stick around for a while longer since it is no longer my daily driver.

TWO CAR JEEP GC FAMILY
My wife and I both own a Jeep GC Overland. She has the 2013 V-8 Overland and as a result of our enjoyment of her car, I leased a 2014 V-6. Overall, excellent. Gas mileage on the V-6 is excellent for the vehicles' size. Interior is well laid out and very comfortable as we are both over 5'11" tall.
Yes sir!!
Right on the money!!
2014 jeep Grand Cherokee LTD-4x4 V8
I love this jeep. The Navigation, Sound System, Hemi V8 power. I can connect my iphone wirelessly to the system and listen to all my songs. Seats are comfortable, Vehicle looks amazing. Got the 20 inch wheels. I drive almost all locally and short distances so my first mileage check im getting 14.7 mpg. Only thing I might have done differently is go with another color. I chose the green which usually looks black its so dark.
This Jeep is Amazing!
Bought the Summit in August, so I am just under two months in, and it is one heck of an improvement from my 2009 Overland (Hemi), which was very reliable and had very few problems. Ride and handling are improved, and the V-6 has plenty of power for just about anything short of pulling a large trailer. There was a problem with the Blind Spot Monitoring system, and the dealer just replaced its control module (less than an hour). My first trip during the first week yielded ~26 MPG, mostly on the highway. While I never buy a vehicle solely upon gas mileage, this was a nice bonus. Combined driving yields 22-23 MPG. The ZF 8-speed transmission makes this Jeep work well.
I hate this car.....
This is my 3rd Jeep Grand Cherokee, and by far my least favorite. Every feature in this car has been thought out (excuse me - not thought out) to be for driver safety and passenger comfort. 1) I love that quick automatic turn signal that only blinks 3 times. Works so poorly in heavy traffic. Its a great feature when you drive put a turn signal on and when finishing changing lanes the signal flashes as though you are turning back to thee lane you came from. 2) I always love a car that lurches when starting to move forward. 3) I have driven rear wheel drive cars that handle snow better than my 4x4 Jeep. 4) The new and improved transmission shifter installed as part of warranty is just as bad as the original one

Transmission Failure
Jeep has less then 1500 miles on it.. It had a complete transmission failure which left me stranded in the middle of the road.. Could not shift into neutral it would immediately go back into park. I was stranded in the middle of the road with traffic speeding by my Jeep. It was one of the most terrifying experiences I have ever had..I could not push the car to the side of the road it was stuck right where it broke. Finally Managed to get out of my car after several people blocked traffic and routed it around the stranded jeep. I opened the hood all the transmission fluid coolant or transmission fluid I do not know which was on the ground. Chrysler needs to fix this is completely un
accident waiting to happen
Gas pedal delayed response almost causing accident. I accelerated at stop sign man decided to cross street I saw him. put my foot on break. had to apply break hard because accelerator finally responded. I looked down at the gas pedal to see if my foot was on both pedals but I was only on the break. This is not a wish list but is a serious defect & needs to be recalled & fixed. it could have caused that man his life, & I would have to live with the guilt. Took delivery April 2014. car is 2014 model. I have complained about lag time & they say its now computerized instead of direct linkage. & my security breach by Bluetooth on 24/7 even without keys in car
never again, i'm happy with my new honda
this car vibrates and makes a rumbling noise when shifting lots of road noise since the last post this car vibrates more than ever I don't use the Eco mode which is the problem, to begin with, but co. didn't want to fix it. The eco mode never worked would never buy another... update now the vibration has gotten worse and of course, the co is now free of any obligation to do anything but count their profit, but wait do i want to buy another one? It's get-back time. since I posted i have purchased a new honda crv, we keep the Jeep to pull a teardrop trailer and sets in the garage during the winter i drive it around the block to keep things working, I have had to replace the soft plug which required removing a lot of the engine cost over two grand. no more jeep for me.

2014 JGC Overland 5.7 L
I had a 2012 JGC SRT and had nothing but problems ranging from the transmission to the radio not working. Purchased this 2014 Overland and found out yesterday that the axel was installed improperly (according to the dealer) or that the axel "popped out" according to Chrysler. Shifting is clunky, problems with freezing screen. WHen on NAV it shows radio instead but other, window overlubed causing oil streaks and passenger seatbelt not retracting. I have only owned this Jeep for 1 month and 4 days. Don't think i will ever buy another one.
