Used 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Consumer Reviews
NO BACKING ON PRODUCT
I HAVE TWO GRAND CHEROKEES. MY WIFE AND I ENJOY EACH OF THEM. HOWEVER THE BRAKE ROTOR PROBLEM IS THE BIG DRAW BACK. THE MANUFACTURER DOES ACKNOWLEDGE IT IS A PROBLEM AND IS ONLY ISOLATED TO A CERTAIN NUMBER. BOTH OF MY JEEPS HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM AND CHANCES ARE YOU DO TOO. MAKE YOUR REPORTS AND DOT LET THEM PUSH US AROUND.
In need of lemon-aid
As a former Jeep Wrangler owner, I had high expectations when I purchased my used 2001 Laredo with 29K miles on it. After 10.5 months of ownership I've spent the majority of my time at the dealership for repairs....random engine surging (!!) [it only took 3 visits for them to address], electrical, transmission, warranty recall items, rotors... Now, after transmission slippage due to a bad solenoid, (out of warranty by 2.5K miles of course...)there are newly presented oil seepage and pressure issues...caveat emptor! BUYER BEWARE!

Love my Jeep
This is the second Jeep I've owned and I enjoy this vehicle more than my first. Inferno Red with chrome wheels really makes heads turn. Received many compliments. Love the V8 power. Interior layout is excellent. Controls easy to reach. Sound system can't be beat. Climate control system works well. Seats could use a little more bolstering. I've had a few minor things go wrong but dealer has stood by extended warranty and fixed without question.

Outstanding on/off road performance, great style, powerful engine.
2nd Grand Cherokee
This is the 2nd Grand Cherokee with my first being a 1996. I am extremely happy with the purchase I made. I like the new styling of the later models (WJ's) and I find the Quadra- Trac II system to be very effective. The interior is very comfortable (I'm 6'4") and I find even the standard options to be very good.
