Used 2023 Jeep Cherokee SUV Trims Comparison

Trim level differences

The 2023 Jeep Cherokee is a small SUV that comes in two trim levels: Altitude Lux and Trailhawk. The Altitude Lux uses a 2.4-liter four-cylinder (180 horsepower, 171 lb-ft of torque) while the Trailhawk comes with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder (270 hp, 295 lb-ft). Both send power to all four wheels through a nine-speed automatic transmission. Keep reading to learn more about the Cherokee's standard and optional features.

  • Lane keeping assistance (steers the Cherokee back into its lane if it begins to drift over the lane marker)
  • Adaptive cruise control (maintains a driver-set distance between the Jeep and the car in front, even in heavy traffic)
  • Automated parking system

Trailhawk
The Trailhawk lacks the Altitude Lux's leather upholstery and power-adjustable front passenger seat as standard but becomes more off-road capable by way of:

Which Cherokee trim does Edmunds recommend?

You've got two choices this year: Altitude Lux or Trailhawk. Among them, the Trailhawk makes more sense. It's expensive but at least partially justifies the cost with its off-road-oriented upgrades.
