G35 w/ Leather
This car, with its 260 hp, is a joy to drive. It accelerates quickly, handles turns nimbly and maintains a very quiet interior cabin. I would highly reccomend it to anyone from avid car enthusiasts to those that just want a comfortable ride.
A Fun Car to Own
My sedan is a pleasure to ride...handles well and has plenty of pep. The car is surprisingly spacious inside...backseat passengers frequently comment about the comfort. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is considering an Infiniti.

Very Happy
I picked up my G35 about a week ago. There are a few interior styling glitches that need to be addressed. Overall, I am very happy with the car.
My Favorite Car Ever!
This car drives like a luxury sedan but is as fast as many sports cars. I get more looks and questions about this car than I have any other.
Overall Review in my Opinion
Ordered this car today (aka Japan's Nissan Skyline 350GT). Quite impressed with the test drive for its performance. Those of you have hard time deciding this car and the 3-Series should considered this. Same class, cheaper with more powerful engine and you can fully equiped this car for a 4000-6000 less compairing to the 3 Series.
This is one great car!!
I bought a new G35 Sedan with Bose, sunroof, sport suspension, and aero package. I am very impressed with it's off-the-line performance and excellent handling. It is amazing what rear wheel drive means for handling. My Maxima was fast, but it couldn't hang with the G35's power plus handling.
3-Series perf with a real back seat
Needed to turn in my 328i for a sports sedan with room for suddenly larger kids. This car competently carries four adults, or three kids in the back, with much more cargo space; and is a blast to drive by myself. Excellent handling & acceleration.
Mid Life Crisis Car
I have owned SUV's for the last 18 years, and can't really say why I all of a sudden wanted to make a change to a smaller more sporty car except that it sounded like fun. I used to own a Datsun 280ZX before my daughter was born that I loved. I thought the Infiniti really resembled that car body style. All I can say is this is by far the best car I have ever owned. It's sporty, fun to drive, FAST,and I absolutely love it !! My husband had a 55 Chevy he loved to race around when he was young and had to sell to buy our 1st house but this car has brought back a little of his racey side and he thinks this car is fantastic!!What more can I say ??!!
Best in class...
We drove pretty much everything in the $30-40K sport sedan category (Acura, Audi, BMW, Infiniti, Lexus, Lincoln, Nissan, Toyota, Volvo, VW) and the G35 was, by far, the best value of the bunch. There were other fine cars (Acura, Audi, BMW, Lexus), but while they often had one or two superior features, overall, they were well behind the Infiniti. Fast, fun, sexy, sleek, great in the curves, roomy are all adjectives that describe this car better than they do its competition. I just wish it was mine (so I wouldn't have to share), not my wife's... :)
Disappointed in the
Good stuff: braking is incredible, engine performance "wows" you, impeccable safety features, great styling, fantastic reliability, fun to drive. Problems: if you don't need or really want the sport-tuned suspension package, don't get it--it produces a very stiff ride that don't not match the sophisticated elements of this car. The placement of the seat controls is a problem! What I dislike is the discomfort. The seat control panel is made of plastic and is integrated into the seat in such a way that it puts an annoying "hotspot" on my leg.
Not Quite
The dealer gave me a 24 hr test drive. 50 mi later, a squeak in the dash. The headliner looked like it was trimmed-to- fit with a box-cutter. Dealer installed wood veneer just stuck over the existing plastic. Cheap! Trunk liner is flimsy. Dashboard looks cheap. Aluminum hood had a wave to it. Orange lighting is too Pontiac. Shifter in way of stereo. Stereo is mediocre. Fast off the line, but tranny shifts can be rough. Handles very good. Brakes are touchy. It's a drivetrain looking for a better body/interior.
Great Sports Sedan
What a great value for a sports sedan. What a wonderful car to drive that just gets better and better. Looked at all the offerings in a sports sedan, but couldnt justify the arm and the leg more for the 5 series BMW. The power is great and the manual just brings it out. A perfect car for us guys who wants to control, not to be controlled.
G35 ROCKS
Audi A4, BMW 3 series, Acura TL typeR, and on and on, they just can't compare with G35. Start with horse power, G35 got 260, and 260lb of torque. No car in this catagory can beat that. Eventhough TL typeR got 260HP, it has less torque. Styling? I thik BMW gotta go, its style is the same years after years. A4 is not bad, but when we speak about money, there's a huge difference. German cars are over priced. With 30k, u can only get an Audi A4 1.8T, not even the V6 version. As for BMW, you can only get a plain 325i without leather. Don't even think about 330i, it'll cost at least 35k. TL is front wheel drive, and doesn't qualify as a true sports sedan.
Wow, G35 sedan
Better than my 3 series for 6 grand less. What else could you ask for?
GREAT RIDE!
MY OVERALL REVIEW IN THIS CAR IS GOOD. THE CAR ACCELERATES LIKE NO OTHER, WHEN I HAVE FRIENDS DRIVE IT, THEY HIT THE BRAKES AND WE GET WHIP LASH (NO ONE IS USE TO BRAKES THAT GOOD). IVE EVEN DRIVEN UP ON CURVES AND I HAVE NEVER SCRATCHED MY RIMS. =). I LOOKED AT SEVERAL CARS AND I THOUGHT THIS SUITED ME BEST. EVERYONE IN L.A. HAS A BENZ,BMW, OR LEXUS. ITS ORIGINAL AND NEW! IVE BEEN FOOLED BY MY OWN CAR THINKING IT WAS A BENZ WHEN IT ARRIVED FROM THE VALET! ITS BEEN 7 MONTHS AND IM VERY HAPPY.
Testosterone for Two
For the last few years we've driven a Cadillac, and while I enjoyed the comfort and amenities, it just wasn't footing the bill when it came to my mid- life requirements. So the better half and I ventured forth to find a sport sedan for her, assuming that I would later find something a little more robust for myself. Then we ran into the G35. Wow! She had her heated seats and I got a four door rocket. After looking at the Lexus, Acura, Mercedes, Nissan, Hyundai (that's right, Hyundai - they're not too shabby), VW, BMW, Toyota - did I leave any out? - we bought a Twilight Blue G35 with a Willow leather and a power curve that doesn't quit. Bottom line: drive it, buy it, love it!
Top notch vehicle
This is a tremendous vehicle. In fact, my wife is taking the car for herself. The G35 is a fun car to drive. Fit and finish are as perfect as I have seen on any car. Great accerlation and braking. Down side is no trip computer and the VDC and dimmer for the lights are in akward position. Any car you look for in 2002/3 this has to be on your list for sports cars. The price is nearly $10k cheaper than a BMW 330i.
About time
I cannot say one bad thing about it yet. I could never justify spending $40 grand on a german luxury sport, but this thing is worth more than those and costs less!
A Porsche sedan
Dealer called it a 2003 1/2. Infiniti raised the price for the Leather model $700, but made Xenon headlights standard, as well as the radio coming equipped for Satelite. The rear deck was redesigned for the better. Have Premium and Sport Package. When bought new with 11 miles, the tire pressure was 41 pounds all around. I reduced the pressure to 32 pounds and the car not only rides better - more supple - it actually handles better. The Bose radio disappoints - I found a solution: adjust treble to +3 and bass to -3. Only real gripe is the gas mileage. Gets 14 mpg in normal city driving.(95% stop and go city streets, 5% highway).
out
very fast, poor gas mileage, great overall value for money
Break Through
The Road & Track sport sead shoot out got me interested and everything I checked out about the car was impresive. I like the car very much and comparing it to my last new car - a 98 528i it's better in everyway and lots more fun!
Good but not Great
Acceleration onto the freeway is top notch. Comfortable cock pit, but it's a tight fit, even for a small guy like me. The paint could hold up to chips and dings better and you have to change the break pads about every 15k to 20k depending on your driving habits.
Why buy German?
Tested BMW 3 series, Audi A4, Mercedes C class, Lexus IS, and Acura TL. Size and power of larger 5 series Bimmer, and A6, and at much better price point than their lower priced series cars. Lexus was too small, Mercedes too slow, and Acura too much like my Accord. In my view, after driving the competition, there really was no comparison. This car is a rocket, brakes on a dime, corners on rails, and has a distinctive look. Great job Nissan!
This Car is NASTY!
Wow test drove a G35 today and it was the fastest car i have ever driven in my life! the salesman drove it out of the dealership and down the street so i could "Get a feel of how fast it really is" and let me tell you i sat way back in my seat. it was a blast. looking to get one in the summer after i get rid of my volvo s40. the G makes that look like a go cart. i hate bmw's and i can't wait to blow by some 330i's in the near future.
Awesome
This is as fun to drive as my Porsche Boxster! I put four Dunlop Blizzak snow tires for winter time and blow Audi's away on the Hwy! I travel to the major ski areas every weekend and have had no problems in the snow. I am looking to purchase the new AWD G35 soon!
G35
This is as fun to drive as a BMW 3 Series at about 10 Grand less. Other than normal service it has not had one dime put into repairs. Great Fun, Great Value!!
Da Bomb
This car has excellent handling. Much cheaper than the BMW 330 and more power....260hp baby. Recommendation for future buyers. If anyone is buy the G35 Sedean....I highly recommend the Premium Package.
Great, Fast, Fun!
I love my Car! I bought it as soon as it came out in 2002 (as a 2003 Model). I really enjoy driving it and it has a lot of horsepower. Had I known that Infiniti was going to come out with a Coupe 8 months down the road I think I would have held out for it! I am very satisfied with the car overall. This is the 3rd Infiniti I have owned and It will not be the last. They Are great cars and have immaculate reliability.
Problem w. center console
I am stuck with "luxury" car that I can't operate the temperature or have any music because the whole center console is OUT. No button works! Didn't know there was a recall but as with Mike A, even though 2003 model, for some horrible reason, my VIN number doesn't "qualify" which beats me!
Love to drive it- it spoils me
This car has a lot of get up and go. It always reponds to the driver and makes the driver feel like he is one with the road.
Not Quite the Deal We Thought It Was
Only a good car at a good price. I traded in my 2001 BMW 325i for this car because of the quality issues with that car. This car isn't a lot better. I've been in the shop three times for squeaks and rattles which still haven't been completely fixed. Also notice that the trunk lid has been changed (in the same model year!) for G35 Sedans produced after October. So all of us that bought beforehand...we've now got a unique car. Sometimes it's cool, but this time it's NOT COOL!
Good car but too close to Altima
Pros: The engine is great and it is a genuine sports sedan. Also, Infiniti reliability is excellent. Cons: It is too close to the Altima in looks. Infiniti simply cannot get the luxury brand image concept right. This car looks like a different trim of the Altima and anyone who says otherwise is simply being fooled by the better looking headlights and grill. And the upcoming G35 coupe looks like a long- wheelbase version of the new 350Z. If you are going to charge a premium for a luxury brand, you should make sure that the brand's prestige and exclusivity are protected by a lineup of cars that are different from your economy cars.
Incredible and elegant
i just got my G35 and it's incredible, powerful and elegant. it is an eye opener i dont drive it too fast, beacause i want everyone to enjoy it as well when i drive by. i feel like if flying a fighter plane on a mission. i have no regrets in fact ia m proud of my self for picking the right car, after all " A car is a extension of one's personality"
Love It
Great ride, great value great car.
54,000 Miles No Problems
I now have 54,000 miles. Other than routine Mobil 1 oil changes, 1 set of tires [35,000], brakes at 50,000. I have only been to the dealer for recalls. Just recently a squeak showed up that I will take it in for the first time with a problem. This is still remarkable tight and is a pleasure to drive on long high speed trips. It is the most reliable car of the 38 that I have owned. I love it!
Sweet
I've had this car for 6 months and it's been everything the reviews rave about. Power all the way through each gear and a head-turner too. If you want to challenge everything on the road, this is it.
TOTAL RECALL
I enjoyed my Pearl White G35 for the most part. However, the stereo system was out for most of the 6 months that I had it and I was constantly getting notes that something had been recalled on the car. It was too small for trips and the last straw was getting the fuel pump recall that said not to try to restart it if it quit!!! How scary???
A Keeper
This is a great automobile. It is the sport sedan with auto tranny and many other features. The handling is great and the power is zoooom! I use regular fuel (personal choice) & get 22 mpg around town - even more on highway. The required maintenance, or lack of, is fantastic, also. Changing oil is the most frequent maintenance item. One brake change in 133,000 miles. I had rims replaced because brake dust stuck to factory rims. Now it is no problem. Had to have some modules replaced 4 years after purchase. The Michelin tires I purchased have lasted over 80k miles. Still get frequent compliments on styling. I plan to keep it for many years.
Why not Infiniti?
Like all the other owners, we shopped the sports sedan market. The look and performance wins and ends all discussions about the "best sports sedan". This car truly wins the Bang for the Buck IMO. My wife's G35 looks great parked next to my 02 6-spd Maxima.
A6 to G35 Convert
I thought I would never find a car that would sway me from my love for the Audi A6. I was on the verge of buying a 2001 2.7T until I drove this car. It's awesome!!! The car has a solid german feel, great acceleration, and great looks at a great price.
Love at first sight!
I just bought my new Infiniti G35 and I love it! After test driving Mercedes C class and the Audi A4, I found that there is no comparison to the value received from the G35. Not only is it faster and more reliable, but in my opinion the interior and exterior look more sporty and luxurious as well. Plus you get more standard options then on any of the others, making it a great value.
Still Fun To Drive!!
After six months of ownership I've already packed 14000 miles on this rocketship. Still an amazing vehicle!! No problems thus far, and I still enjoy the tune of the engine at throttle. Turns heads all the time. Still not a regret about gettin the car, although I envy the look of the coupe.
Go Buy a G35, you won't be disappointed
I have rouhly 3K miles on my G after about a month. Yes that's a lot of miles for 1 month, but the G is so fun to drive. I look forward to a long trip now because I can take out this car and have fun. The engine is very smooth and the handling is very very good. I looked at a lot of cars and drove everything from an Accord to a BMW 525 and I am very plesed with my choice. It is not perfect but no car is. If you are looking for a car that will blow anything away, is fun to drive, doesn't cost $40K, looks good and is reliable, then go to your local Infiniti dealer, you won't be disappointed.
Wow!
I simply adore this car. I have never enjoyed driving a car more. The interior is incredibly comfortable and the exterior is sharp. The handling on curvy roads is impeccable. The only thing that I have to complain about is that the gas mileage is poor. Driving on the highway and maintaining speed of 60 mph, I am only getting 17 to 18 mpg. Braking is incredible and it is a joy to drive.
Pure....
I test drove everything from Mazda Millennia to BMW 3 series to Cadillac CTS. This was by far the best all around car, especially for the money. I have a black/graphite with every factory option except the Navigation. The car rides smooth, it looks sharp, and it is a blast to drive. The mpg is low, but comparable to other cars in the class. I am very pleased with every aspect except the common complaint of the analog clock, which I don't care about. The Bose premium sound system is incredible and incredibly loud! This is one fierce car.
Wow!
This is an awesome car! Starting with the no-pressure salespeople, my Infinity experience has been wonderful. Driving it is a pleasure. The car is so fast, I have never floored it and don't plan to. The ride is extremely comfortable (after I let some of the air pressure out of the tires--the dealer gave it to me with 37 psi and it was a rough ride!) Initially there was a problem with a loose speaker in the back, but the dealer fixed it promplty. The only design flaw is that the space between the front seats and the console is so narrow that if you ever drop something (like your keys!) down there, it's nearly impossible to get them out.
Finally, a better choice than the BMW 3
I was all set to get another BMW 3 because my wife & I LOVED that car & no other car seemed to compare. But the 3 was tight on space especially with a baby. The G is larger inside than a BMW 5. It also bests the 330i in HP & performance. To BMW's credit their inline 6 is the smoothest 6 around. & I still don't know how they're able to combine great handling & ride. No one does suspensions better than BMW, but the G came mighty close. Add the standard features & for once a desirable premium package w/o alot of unwanted features (I'm not spending extra for cosmetic wood). My old BMW was feeling like a stripper after I got my G.
Love the car
Me and my girlfriend had a few doubts about the car but all have been proven wrong, gas mileage is poor if u drive it hard and yes brakes go quickly but its crash impact ratings sold us and the bargain price. Our previous car was a toyota solara which cost more but wasn't half as fun to drive. Only beefs are the emergency brake interfering with left shin and window controllers are a lil low. Transmission can be slow at times but engine is definitely not. Fun to drive with VDC turned off.
Beautiful!!!
I went on my second test drive of this rocket on wheels. head turner, FAST!!!!, Very tight on the corners, great brakes for high speeds!! It's a real beauty although the interior leather could use some more work (this is only the first year I'm sure they'll fix it next).I found the engine a little loud (of course, the sport enthusiast may disagree, given the mission of the car) and the ride a little rough-ish (again, i'm not a die hard sport enthusiast)....Love the headlight design, go Infiniti and go Nissan!! Summary: 100 out of 100.
Wow
My Infiniti Number 7 and the very best yet. Fun to drive is better than my '00 Vette and much less attractive to the local police. Great Road Mannors in every condition I've put it through. My daily driver is an I-30, the G-35 is my wife's and I'm attempting to get her to love the luxury ride of the I-30 but with no luck as yet. Heck, I've even offered up the Vette and still not a sale on my part.
