Fantabulous!
I got it - I love.
The Answer I've Been Looking For
This car fits my needs perfectly, as the Audi A4 was too small, the local BMW dealership is less than reputable, the IS300 was a small overpriced mess and the value-packed TL Type-S was lacking passion. I have found my car. Some reviewers say that the G35 approaches the ride quality of the BMW 3-series, but I'm here to tell you that it SURPASSES it. An easy purchase decision.

G35 4-door 6-speed
Other than gas mileage and strange location of seat adjustments this has been an excellent car. I'm sure a used one would make a great purchase if it's been maintained. Extremely nice car for the money. Think 5-series at 3-series prices.
Nothing touches it within $5K...
True joy to drive. Have driven all of the competition's cars in this price range/market niche and this has them hands down beat. More room, better handling, accelleration, and braking than any of them. However, it is a real sleeper in the handling department. It isn't until you PUSH it hard that you appreciate how refined it is. It just keeps asking for more!
The Most Complete All-in-One
Alot of people try to find a car within the confines of the 30k range. The wait is over. This car is the complete package and you get the performance (260hp+) and styling (if you dont mind the rear-end) rolled into one. Mind you, the rear end is better justified when viewed in person. The car handles great on turns and the rwd is just awesome to play around with on the streets. The furl economy is better than average for an engine with a monster 3.5L, nonethess anything below the 20mpg seems a bit steep these days as gas has gone up.
This fun ain't cheap
I have owned this car for 5 years. I don't put very many miles on it per year so I'm just now coming up on 38k. Brakes were squealing bad and the VDC light, emergency brake light, and SLIP light were coming on and staying on. Had read this may be a break problem. I needed new tires anyway so took it to shop. Front pads/rotors and rear pads all needed to be replaced. $800. It did fix my dash lights problem though. You definitely pay for owning a fun car.
ULTIMATE NEAR-LUX SPORTS SEDAN
Infiniti now has something to compete with, and it is a very well made car
BMW, Audi and Lexus - - - Eat my dust!!!
Wow - You've got to actually drive this car to "get" it. Spectacular! Very very strong power at all rpm's. Great suspension - very nice feel. Tight smooth steering. Push this car and it does what you are thinking it should. When you take the race number off the G35, you can take the wife and kids to church in it (they don't have to know about the rest).
A home run
This is Infiniti's best product in years. A true BMW, Audi, and Lexus competitor.
G35
Just got the G35 last week and am very favorably impressed as I drive it around town and country. Nice design, strong performance, luxury features, agile, tight cornering, and high reliability expectations (based on Infinity/Nissan history). This rear wheel drive car is defininitely worth a look if you're in the market for an upscale sports sedan. I almost got the BMW 330i, but after driving the G35, I found it be a true sports sedan representing a much better value than the BMW 3 series. Great driving experience, soft leather, horsepower and torque, massive brakes, including value and reliability. This car is so strong .
Infiniti G35
Incredibly fun to drive, outstanding engine and transmission. Short turning radius makes it agile and quick in town.
Almost Perfection
The G35 offers plenty. Performance, comfort, handeling, it's all there. It competes very nicely against the Lexus GS300 (besides interior craftsmanship). I'm sold, As soon as my dealer get's a G35 with the options I want.
Best Sport Sedan out there!
I have a BMW 330i which I drive daily. The G35 will be for my wife. The G35 has more power at the entire rpm range. The non-sport pkg. G35 handles just as well as my 330i even with the skinnier tires. The ride is actually smoother and the steering feel is less overboosted than my 2000 BMW. Interior ergonomic is first rate. Material used is not as plush as the Audi but easier just as nice as my 330. The BOSE sound system is surprisingly good. Overall, the G35 feels a lot more spacious than my 330i. All this for right around 30k is just too good to pass up. I ordered a Garnet Fire (wife's choice) one to be picked up in two weeks.
Good, but not a BMW Killer
I was excited about the Infiniti G35; the advertised empirical data trumped all comers including my BMW 3. The G35 did not disappoint on styling and features. I considered the BMW 5, surprisingly the G35 was larger in the back seating leg room, trunk, and front seat head room. The "Killer App" for all these near luxury sport sedans is the blend of sport, luxury, comfort, and convenience. BMW has found it, and no one knocked them off the podium. The G35's ride it tight, the acceleration is strong, the torque is tremendous, but the combination doesn't approach the BMW’s feel (it must be magic). Sorry Infinity, you still have some work to do - close but no cigar.
Look what they've don to my Max(i)Ma...
My '90 Maxima was the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned, hands down. A decade search for a "step up" from that vehicle is finally over. Peace, love, and rear wheel drive!
Slow decider bought w/1 test drive
Read the literature, researched others in the class. This car has everything a $40K+ car has for about $10K less. Handles curves, excellent braking, very classy. Wouldn't touch the 330i again after one drive.
Option it right
Just picked up my Twilight Blue/Charcoal Leather/Premium, Wood G35 yesterday. Initial impression of the interior was that it looked cheap in the Willow color. The charcoal leather with wood trim looks richer and higher quality. The rear looks better in the flesh than in pictures. Love the car. It feels like a very high quality package. The car puts as big a grin on my face as the 3-series drive did. The reason is acceleration where it was more about steering feel in the Bimmer, but this is still a very good handling car. This is an excellent sport sedan with decent room in the back (unlike 3-series or A4) and Japanese reliability.
Infiniti G35 - Powerful and fun to drive
This car is fast and handles very well. At the same time, it's very comfortable and I can barely feel any bumps when traveling over rough roads. The car looks great, it doesn't look like anything out there, and several people have stopped to ask me what it is. Infiniti definitely outdid themselves with this car!
Fun, Quality & Eyecatching
This is a wonderful car. Not only is it fun to drive (powerful with lots of torque & great handling), but it's well laid out and very eyecatching. The lines are sexy enough to still be inspiring 3-4 years from now when competitors like the Acura 3.2TL-TypeS have really grown tired. The cabin is remarkably quiet and coming from a Honda, the materials & workmanship really seemed first rate. Thats perfect because you'll be able to enjoy every last note that eminates from the Bose sound system. I shopped pretty heavily: Acura, Lexus, Cadillac, Chrysler, Used Mercedes & BMW. To me, nothing matched the overall "bang-for-the-buck" that the G35 offered.
Very Tempting
I just test drove this car today, and I am very tempted by it. Prior to this car, I have never considered Infinity, mostly because of cost/benefit, but also due to the historically strange styling of Nissan's cars in general. I guess Renault must have been good to them, though - this was one fun car to toss around, even with 4 people in the car.
Can't stop driving
I could not justify getting A4 1.8, 325 or c230 because of cheap interior, small engines and quality concerns (c230). The price for well equipped A4 3.0, 330i and c320 felt too high and the interior space is still tight. With G35 I found the perfect combination of style, internal space, contemporary interior and stunning performance for reasonable price. Did I mention stunning performance? This car is avesome. I have two concerns right now: 1 - inventing reasons to go places, and 2 - I can lose my driver's licence. I don't mind 1, but I am afraid from 2. If you are in the market for sporty car between 27-45K you own yourself a test drive.
I Love This Car!
I was down to the A4, or the W8 Passat (yeah, I was going to wait), but after 5 minutes behind the wheel of a G w/sport package, I was sold. It's a lot of car for the money (when compared to the competition) and it has, imo, a beautiful yet understated design that you can only fully appreciate up close -and that includes the rear - trust me the 16 pinholed LEDs when lit are way cool. The sport package not only improved handling, but also tightened up the steering to allow for Tutonic handling. Haven't really figured out the NAV, but it got me home via local streets on my first drive from the dealership - the expressway was jammed. Yep, did i mention that i luv this car?
Look out BMW!
There are two 3-series BMW's in my family. I like my G35 better. The G35 is a HOT car that's FUN to drive. 260 HP and lots of pick up. Among other things, you get 90 more HP than the A4 1.8T, and 76 more than the BMW 325i. AND it costs less too. I upgraded my G20 to the G35. It took no time to fall in love. You get all of the reliability of a Japanese car, combined with the performance of the German competitors (and none of the time-or cost-in the shop). And it costs less with options. Zippy around town and fun on the highway, it's got power to spare to merge, pass, and have some fun on a windy road or a long drive. Try it before you buy an A4 or a BMW...you'll be surprised.
G35 is the best!!!!!!!!
Have been buying new cars since 1949 and have never had a car that has excited me so much. Mine is a beautiful garnet red which is close to a candy apple, gets many compliments!!Has the luxury package, xenon lights and the wonderful navigation unit which is such fun to use. This car goes like a rocket and has beautiful handling. A friend just bought a new $60,000. Corvette convertable and as nice as it is I would rather have Gi Gi as we call her. Paul Near San Diego
Great Sport/Lux Car
We just purchased our black on black G35 and love it. We test drove the Audi A4(cheap interior), the Volvo S60(cheap interior and the engine sounded like a chainsaw), the Lexus ES(very good car, but it looks just like a Camry), the Lexus IS(small and looks like it came out of the movie 'The Fast and The Furious') and the Lincoln LS(good car but it was rough riding and it sat low,it was hard to get in and out of), and none of them had the horsepower. The G35 had the best of both (Sport and Luxury).
Best Sports Sedan ever driven
I just bought this car about 2 weeks ago and I have never had so much fun in my life. The car handles like a BMW or Porsche and I didnt even get the sport package. The acceleration and torque on this car is massive and the braking is excellent. I got the Navigation System and it is one of the coolest gadgets I have ever seen. I recommend this car to anyone.
Performance/Luxury Sedan
I have owned and test driven a number vehicles. I grew up driving a 1986 Ford Mustang GT and a 1978 Pontiac Trans Am. The G35 is a extremely solid in performance and handling. There is a tremendous amount of low end torque under 3,000 rpms. I was searching for a performance oriented vehicle without paying an exorbitant amount of money. The G35 design is quite unique and appealing to the eye. I was able to purchase the G35 with just 42k miles fully loaded except for navigation for just under 16k. I am extremely happy with the purchase and enjoy driving the vehicle. For the money, Infinti is superior to the BMW3 Series. I plan to keep the G35 for at least 5 years or more. Kudos to Infiniti!
Awesome Car!
Bought my G35 a short while ago from a dealer and it had 60K miles on it. I have had no trouble with it. The CD player works perfectly, everything is in top shape although I have a few minor areas on the car where the paint is starting to crack, not sure how to fix it but other than that, no complaints. The interior is kind of bland but I bought a Walnut Burl dash kit from wood dash experts, has it installed by myself in 2 hours and it looks better than the wood dashes on the higher end BMWs and the such.
About time
Finally, a true performance luxury car that the common man can afford to own, yet handles, accelerate, looks as good as any BMW, Audi, Mercedes.
Amazing
I was looking for a great sports car that was roomy, luxury, reliable, and sporty, and fun to drive. This car has it all. The sporty feel, hp, plenty of room for a large adult (like myself) in the back, has extremely comfy seats, looks good with wood and without, and has the realiability of an Infiniti. Gosh, mmm, Thank God they made this car. I considered an Audi A4, and A6, BMW 3 series and 5 series, and the Benz C-class, this is by far the best.
A Sport Sedan
The G35 is a 350Z with 2 doors added. Many parts are the same for both cars. The 2003 thru 2006 body style is leaner & a tad smaller than subsequent incarnations. Outward visibility both front & rear are good with this body. Newer ones could be improved by a rear-view camera

Love Forever
I loved this car and kept it 12 years! Great to drive, comfortable for the long drives and exceptionally well made.
Ex Beemer fan
Infiniti has done something that I never thought possible, pulled me out of BMWs 3 series and into the G35. The performance that this cars brings to the table is mind blowing (makes the 3 series appear sluggish). This is also the 1st time a Japanese car was able to turn my head with styling. I may never go back.
In the battle between BMW and Infiniti,
I was having a hard time deciding between the bmw 330Ci and the G35 w/ sport and premium. after driving both on some truly twisty Austin Hill country back roads, i could not warrant the price difference between the two. The G35 is simply the best car you can buy for the money anywhere. It handles like a champ and out-accelerates the bimmer while doing it in near silence. The only sound you hear is when you get high in the tach and the 260 ft. lbs of torque kick in. if you are looking for a new car, give this one more than a look.
Best choice
This car combines many elements and executes them all perfectly. The interior is very large, roomy and very quiet. Conversations could be had at highway speeds without talking louder. The G35 has excellent acceleration, especially for an automatic which shifts very smoothly. The braking complements the acceleration, which is better than most cars in the world (70-0). All this is accomplished with keeping the vehicle weight lower than the most of the competition. The build quality and materials is excellent. The car is backed up with a good warranty with the reliability and service of Infiniti.
Nice but...
I ran to my dealer to get the G35. I spent a few hours going over every detail, driving the car, looking it over. Then I got back in my Lexus and passed on the deal. The designers have clearly studied Audi and Lexus, especially Audi. There are so many Audi-isms in this car that I lost count, but suffice it to say that Infiniti did a fine job engineering this car's interior, especially the clever use of space! Its the immaturity of the interior, the lack of refinement and the less than substantial feel and touch of the materials that got me to stay with my GS300. I still think the G35 is the best Infiniti theyve ever built, -the best designed, and the most fun, but not for me.
