Used 2018 Hyundai Tucson SUV Consumer Reviews
2018 Tucson Sport 2.4 AWD - Don't buy 1
The styling of the 2018 Tucson is nice. That's about it. the 2.4 has no power and if you want power it sounds like the motor is going to blow. Don't worry about the quart of oil it burns every 1500 miles that's Normal per Hyundai. It started burning oil around 40k now has 53k. Dealer said its because carbon has built up around the rings and can't make a tight seal in the cylinder. When it starts burning a quart every 1000 miles then the will look at it and put a chemical in each cylinder to try and break up the carbon. If that doesn't work then they will replace the short block. I'm glad I have all this time to waste with this car. I bought it brand new and have taken great care of it. The front grill has these great big gaping spaces in it to let all the air in to keep the engine cool it also lets all the rocks kicked up from the trucks and cars in front of you to put a whole in your AC coil. That isn't covered under the warranty either. That repair is $1300 dollars at the dealer. The AC coil is only like $150 dollars. Did I mention the horrible gas mileage it gets? I do mostly highway driving and I'm lucky if I get 20 mpg, more like 18 or 19mpg. The 19 inch low profile tires are expensive when they need to be replaced. So no more Hyundai for me.
