Used 2011 Hyundai Tucson Consumer Reviews
So far, so good
My Black/Saddle int. 2011 Tucson Limited is just under 3 months old and I've put 7k miles on it. The ride and steering are firm and a tad bouncy, but I love that about it. I went from a gas guzzling, but more powerful Grand Cherokee. My gas mileage is significantly better than my Jeep was, but is not quite the 22/31 on the sticker. I average between 18.5-20 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on hwy trips from Dallas to Austin. I need to point out that I drive the vehicle quite hard as, I sometimes try to make up for the power I was familiar with. I would surely get better mpg if I drove under "normal conditions". Overall, I'm very satisfied with my purchase!
Not as good as Advertised
After looking around for an all-around economical vehicle, I settled on the Tuscon. For the most part, it's very nice, decent room, rides well, and has a nice base package of interior features. BUT, I'm not happy with my gas mileage or some of the design flaws. I've driven the vehicle for 7000 miles plus (mostly highway), and at best, I've gotten 24 MPG - more typically I'm getting 22-23 MPG. As MPG was one of the key reasons I purchased the vehicle, this is highly disappointing. Two other issues are bothersome. The rear wiper does not have a liquid sprayer. Also, when it rains, and the car is wet, when you open the doors, water pours into the vehicle. BUYER BEWARE.

More to be desired.
Drove this vehicle for over 3 years and purchased new. Began to notice problems right away. Bouncy ride, felt more on second row seating. Fuel economy MPG numbers far from advertised. Small fuel tank 13gal equals short range. Annoying Rattle noise coming from trunk, noisy shocks. AC fan replaced at 17k miles because of high pitch noise. Low pressure tire sensor failed. Fan speed choices not adequate, its either too high or too low. Driver and passenger seat too narrow.
Having owned 6 Suv's ,this Tucson is the best one
After owning this 2011 Tucson with 88,000 plus miles, I now feel it's getting a little boring.

Worst Car Ive ever owned
Bought this car thinking it would be perfect once the kids left home. I couldn't be more wrong. The seats are very uncomfortable. The bluetooth wouldn't work. Within the first month, the brakes were squealing so bad, you couldnt hear the radio. On cruise control at 70MPH, the transmission started slipping then started in everyday driving. I took it to service, they found nothing on the diagnostics. Before anything else could go wrong, 10 months into owning it, I traded it in. I will never own anything from Hyundai again and will tell everyone I know about this horrible car.
