Used 2011 Hyundai Tucson Consumer Reviews
Not so bad for a low-end compact SUV
This is the third Hyundai I have purchased. So far, it is great. Would love the electric driver's seat though. Has a rattle in the rear door, may be the license plate bracket, still haven't figured out where it is coming from yet. Not a big deal. Fuel economy is from 16.5 to 19.1. Hot summer here so using AC all the time, plus city driving mainly. Has under 700 miles on it but I really enjoy driving it. AC seems to run warm on occasion. Had five people in it and drove nicely, still had ample acceleration.
Lacking
The Tucson seems to have pep and for the most part is fairly comfortable. Irritations I have with it is that the seats are located so far toward the middle that every time I enter or exit the bottom of the door jam hits the back of my leg so I'm walking around with a dirt streak on the back of my slacks. Second, the side mirrors are located so that it creates a blind spot. Back seats lack enough padding on the seat. I would not buy another.

Mistake in purchasing this SUV
Really wanted to love this vehicle but ultimately had to get rid of it after only 6 months! First road trip, only 3500 miles was stranded between AZ and CA. Threw a rod, had to have a new engine ordered and installed. Did I mention only 3500 miles??!! Began to notice rattles right away, gas mileage never what was advertised, brushed nickel (?)substance on steering wheel started to peel off, front fender came loose. Didn't care for the dealership in AZ as well, didn't return calls, provided inaccurate information. Not at all helpful. Definitely cannot recommend this vehicle!!! Would like to think it was not a Hyundai issue, but just got stuck with a lemon.
Gas mileage not what manufacter claims
If I could do it over I would have held out for gmc terain, same price more horse power and better fuel economy. Also the Hyundai sheet metal is very thin and dents easy, I am trying to find side molding to put on to keep from getting door dinged. The paint on the limited seems poor quality, look close and you can see the flex in the sheet metal because of the thin layer of paint that chips easy. Hyundai still needs work. Design it is cool little SUV drive and handles good. More power and better fuel economy. My old Malibu maxx was a 2006 and got way better gas mileage with a 3.5 v6. At 215 hp.
Economical fun
Rides well. Not great fuel economy. Paid $50.00 less than msrp with a trade- in vehicle, also a Hyundai.
