Used 2022 Hyundai Sonata Sedan Consumer Reviews
Avoid this car
This is my 3rd and last new Sonata. They have gone consistently downhill over time. This car is not user friendly. If you like to turn on your car, put it in gear and go, this is not the car for you. You have to spend time disengaging stupid things before you can even start out. First off, it automatically sets the parking brake almost every time you park--even on level land, so you have to disengage that before you go. Then there is the annoying engine start/stop mechanism that you have to disengage before you start out. Then it is a toss up as to whether the push-button gear shift mechanism will work. You often have to push the gear you want two or three times before it will engage. Then there are the computer screens that randomly flip from the mode you have them set on to some other mode. The list goes on and on.
Great for the money, just...
The new Sonata is really exceptional, I like the exterior styling, the driver assistance suites, the sharp infotainment screen, the heated and vented seats, and the 360 camera. Everything is nice except for the seats are really stiff!! I took an 8 hour road trip, and man, my butt HURTS! Also, the seat leather surface feels not as good as some other same level sedans. Really hope Hyundai improve this. But overall, it's great for the money.
