Fell in love during test drive

Great exterior styling. Great interior, simply controls easy to use. Quite possibly one of the best performing cars in its class that I have ever driven. The exterior styling makes the sonata look much more expensive than it really is.

My wife and I have had this car for two years. My two children have had older Sonatas and we all would buy another. Drives and feels like a more expensive car. Had a BMW and think this is a much better car considering the price difference. Have never had it back in the shop for anything. Never did like the exterior, but the new models are very nice.

Quality, Reliable Luxury with Tiny Price

My 2005 Sonata has all the bells that you would expect to find on a car that costs $10K more. It's zippy - great for driving to work - and in the 3+ years I've owned it, I have NOT ONCE had any issues. It is the most maintenance-free vehicle I have ever owned. (Had a Ford Explorer and Mits. Eclipse before - both were ALWAYS in the shop.) In fact, 3 other family members have since bought Hyundais (new and used) and no one has had any mechanical problems, which leads me to believe that the negative reviews are fairly isolated. I am now looking to buy the Veracruz - sticking with Hyundai because of the value & quality of its product. I trust Hyundai and definitely would buy another.

Just passed 90K with no major problems. Changed timing belt, spark plugs and trans/coolant fluids. Front brakes at 75,000 miles and regular oil changes are all that has been required. Runs great, very smooth. Best car for the money I have ever purchased new.

Interior quite nice. Placements of all dashboard knobs ( for radio, heater, etc. )are conveniently located for easy access. Cruise control, fog light switch, and trunk and gas door openers, are conveniently located on steering wheel and on inside door near power window levers. Seats are comfortable. Sliding moon roof is very smooth operation. Good sized trunk. The outside is in a class all its own - looks like a very expensive car. Great pickup, smooth ride and easy handling. Is a pleasure to drive. Only drawback is that in town gas mileage is not higher.
