Different world from my Nissan Sentra!
The ride is exceptional, but you can tell that from a test drive. In 2015, Hyundai put their Hyundai logo on the trunk. I had the dealer replace it with a Genesis logo. I also took the license tag off the front grill to an improve its looks. Seems silly, but I also like the way the car greets me with its white LED interior lighting and the little jingle it plays.

2015 Genesis a great value
The 2015 Genesis is a great value when purchased after a one owner lease. The car I purchase was 28435 and has a blue book value of 32000. It has incredible technology and I got 31 average highway MPG on a family trip. I really am enjoying this car and so are my passengers, family and friends!

A Good Value
Hyundai Genesis gives you a lot of car for the money. Its features match many luxury brands, bit its ride, although very good, is not quite up there with the best. Engine responsiveness is good, not great with the 3.8L Another complaint is the road noise when driving at speed on a concrete surfaced highway. I get surprisingly good mileage on the Turnpike over long distances, typically 30/mpg, but city mileage is merely OK. I like the use of regular fuel. Voice recognition also leaves something to be desired. Bottom line is that it is not best in any category, except perhaps value and warranty.

A Great Machine
In my case, the Genesis has been a great machine. Prior to the buy I looked at everything in the market place. Nothing comes close. Very good acceleration, Regular gas, 24-28 mpg, tight and runs flat and solid yet comfortable. Good over bumps and beat up highways. Rear side window screens (manual) extra on other cars. Rear window auto. screen. Looks like a Bentley. Because they hired the Chief Designer away from Bentley. Costs thousands less than BMW, LEXUS, MERCEDES and AUDI and still runs on regular and has sterling performance to suit my needs.

So Korea to the rescue
I have had 3 Cadilacs over the years, not to mention Buicks, Oldsmobiles, Chevrolets. My Genesis beats all of them, hands down. I only drive 6,000 miles a year, so unless the G70 knocks my socks off in the spring I will be buying this one out of lease, which I extended 6 months to wait for the G70..

Best Car I've EVER owned!
I live this car so much that when my 36mo. lease was up, I found a better optioned example from the same year with much lower miles and bought it rather than my own car off lease. I got my brother in law to purchase one. He and I are delighted every time we drive.

ride in Style
The 2015 Genesis has performed flawlessly. Regular oil changes have been the only expense. Would have liked more mileage from the original tires, but most new car tires do not get great wear. The ride is exceptional. Actually the ride in the rear seats is the best! Would buy this car again.

Top notch driving qualities and value
To begin with, this second generation Genesis improves and adds to the earlier generation in virtually every respect. While retaining the very competent 3.8 liter V6 and the excellent Lexicon audio system, the restyled Genesis Ultimate adds heads up display, smooth 8-speed automatic transmission, all-wheel drive, and improved interior amenities - to name a few improvements.

A Genesis of change !!!
Sweet ride! All available options for this year. DVD Audio & AWD were the primary selling factors for me. It hard to find ONE CAR with all of these features.. Fantastic condition & relatively low miles @17k per year. Good find, good bye I’m driving this one home!!! A shout out to Carlotz for an easy transaction & a fair trade in value!!!!
Great bang for your buck.
I've driven and owned an E class, driven the 5 series and Audi. It is my view that Genesis offers everything you need or could want in a sedan of this class and caliber AND all this with a many dollars left in your pocket. I would suggest that if you were to place a blindfolded guest in your Genesis and took them for a drive, your guest would certainly believe they were is one of the other Euro brands. The quiet smooth ride and comfortable seats in my Genesis surpass the feel I had in my E550 Benz. Further, covering up the brand markings, after removing the blindfold, your guest would be hard press not to appreciate the fit and finish of the interior. If that wasn't enough, my Genesis operates of regular fuel and won't cost me a fortune to repair should something happen. In hind sight, I should be skipped the Benz and found the Genesis earlier.

Best overall car I've owned!
In 7 years, ran over 230K miles mainly hwy. Still could get 28-29 mpg on the hwy. Only required regular scheduled maintenance. Still had original brake pads.

Compares to my old Lexus LS 430 2006
Head lights do not go on when wipers turned on. Bluetooth sucks asking at least 3 questions sometime 5 to dial. Great move going to the low profile tires gives the Lexus ride without the power but hey it's a 6 cylinder not an 8 real roomy inside and I'm 300lbs plus which is why I went to the Lexus in the first place. I also miss the headlights that turned on the lexus when you made a turn. So far 4 month and 3000 miles I love it!

Genesis vs Mercedes
I have had my 2015 Genesis sedan for 2 years now and I love it. The only thing I have had to take it to the dealer for is to replace the tires which were recalled because they were noisy. They were Hankook tires and they weren't bad at first but around 25k miles or so they did start getting noisy. Since then I traded in my 2013 Genesis and leased a Mercedes E400 Cabriolet. Other than being sportier and faster I like my Genesis better. If they made a Genesis Sedan into a convertible I would by one. The cooled seats on my MB are worthless. I get aggravated with the radio all the time trying to find a station or do anything else with it. My MB doesn't have active cruise control which I will never do without again, nor does it even have parking sensors. I think the fit and finish of my Genesis is much better than the MB. It didn't take me but a month or two to decide once my lease is up I will not be getting another MB.

MAKE SURE YOU NEVER BUY THE CAR
Before leasing the Genesis , I owned 2 Infiniti's. I have had more repairs and problems in 1 year with the genesis then i did in the prior 8 years. On paper car as many great features, but the quality is very low and not reliable.,

Great car, but short wife not happy
The car was great to merely highly satisfactory for the driver, but my 5 foot tall wife was very uncomfortable. Most of the issue was related to her position in the front passenger seat. She said it was so low that she couldn't see out the front or side windows. While the seat does go higher, she never felt comfortable.

Not quite ready for Prime Time
Nicely executed exterior design, quiet and composed ride, but clear cost cutting everywhere else with a plain-jane interior that neither feels luxurious or sporty, cheap plastic switchgear abound, ventilated seats that bearly ventilate even on the hightest setting, surprisingly cramped rear seats, a smooth but gutless powertrain and truly mediocre fuel economy. The only bright spot is the panoramic sunroof. Oh, did I mention the Hankook tires in a $45K "luxury" car?
Gadgetman
Great value for a luxury car. Had the car just over three years now and am still very happy with the car. I've taken a number of highway trips and the car was very comfortable and quiet for long periods on the road. It got 30 mpg on the road. I've had not operational issues.

32k miles and still solid, Quiet & Comfy
My 2015 Genesis has 32k miles and it remains a solid, reasonably fast, and quiet car. Have not had any major or minor issues. Oil changes and tire rotations have been the only things that have been needed. Probably will need to look at the tires in the next 6 months. Outside of this, will be turning this car in next year. Maybe looking at a New Genesis G80 3.3T or the G70 3.3T, which is scheduled to be released in early 2018. Either of these cars should be a performance improvement over G80.

Lots of Car for the Price
This car is quiet, comfortable and roomy with good power. It has great looks and performance. Fuel mileage is @ 21 mpg around town and @ 27 mpg on the road. When the lease is over I am considering buying the 2018 G80 Sport with the turbo charged V-6.

Hot about the drivers seat
I only serious disappointment has been with the seat heaters in the drivers side. The unit had to be replaced after 2 years (under warranty) and now it has failed again (not under warranty). This is a $700+ repair at the Hyundai dealer after a $140 diagnostic fee.

A more powerful, bigger version of a new A4
OK, so I rented an A4 earlier this summer. This 2015 Genesis is like a bigger version of the A4, with cruiser handling. The quality of the fit and finish is great and it's loaded with all the electronic nannies. Inside, it's quiet as a tomb. I personally would get the 5.0. I drove the 3.8 and the 5.0, and the 5.0 is what you want, even if the mileage isn't great. There is always power available and it just builds and builds. Mash the throttle from a standstill and you'll be at 100 mph in about 10 seconds. I average 18-19 in suburban driving and about 23 highway. The other downside is the staggered tires and the fact that they'll be expensive. Low $300s for the rears and high $200s for the fronts. And if any module goes out, that's a couple of grand. it's not going to be super cheap to maintain. But it's a very nice car.

Unbelievable and Unbeatable
I am a muscle car enthusiast. I'm not one to limit which car I'll buy, but I owned a 1998 Pontiac Formula V8 until a month ago. Unless I had to replace the engine, or transmission, I did all of my own work on the vehicle. For 23 years I had done a lot of maintenance. I drove it as though I just stole it. Ergo, I replaced the engine 5 times, and transmission 4 times. I decided enough was enough. I lived the car, but became tired of working in it every month. There was always something breaking down. Most of the time it only took a couple of hours. But I decided to go for a Dodge Charger, of Challenger. In 2020, I began my search. Needless to say, I had a list of must have, and nice to have. Color wasn't relevant as I could always have it painted. After 8 months of searching, every car I test drove was throwing engine codes. One day I saw a 2015 Hyundai Genesis 5. It netball of my must, and want to have lists, and then more. I was surprised to discover it's power, and luxury features all wrapped up in one vehicle. It was pristine. The dealer didn't really know what they had. I picked it up for just order 16k. It had 61k miles on the odometer. I also purchased a complete bumper to bumper repair policy for 5 years. You can go wrong there. Prior to purchasing, I made sure in was not a salvaged, fleet, or accident repaired car. I had a mechanic check it out. I checked it myself, but, it's better to have a certified mechanic rubber stamp it. This vehicle moves like no other. I bloen away Mustangs, Camaros, Bmw's, Challenges, and chargers. It's the best purchase I've made to date. In 5 years, I'll get another, and a warranty. I never expected to find a muscle car with so many luxury features. If you want to have the best if both worlds, this car is it.

Electrical problems
I purchased my 2015 new. I immediately began experiencing problems with the turn signal shorting out on the driver's side. I returned to the dealership in Jasper and was repeatedly told that they could find no problem. The bulb has blown in excess of 20 times. The back up camera was replaced twice. I

A diamond in the rough
I brought the car last year with 72k miles and it still drives like it’s new! All the bells and whistle’s at a fantastic price. I’m 6”8 and use it as my daily driver. It’s smooth as silk and ultra quiet. You could easily pay thousands more for a comparable euro name but why would you. This is one of the best kept secrets out there. I”d buy a new electrified model but I need to eat.

Is it a Hyundai or is it a Genesis?
I've hD the car 6 years next month. People getting in my car for the first time still compliment about how nice the car is. It's had a few small problems but they have been covered by the warranty or have been recalls. While I would like (don't need) to get a newer car, there is no reason to. It has almost all the features the new cars have and continues to be a reliable and enjoyable car to drive and own. For those of you who don't know, this is the same car as the Genesis G80 as of the 2017 model year, when Genesis became it's own brand

This car is a piece of garbage, it has been in the Hyundai Dealership for over 1 year. They have replaced the engine along with all of the wires and coils, the catalytic converters, fuel pumps, starter, lots of sensors, and it still won't run outside of the limp mode for very long.
