Love at first drive
To be clear, I'm referring to the Elantra N and not the base model. Picked mine up a few weeks ago and man, is this car a hoot to drive. Great brakes, fantastic handling, a solid manual implementation and a very responsive engine make this car VERY tough to beat at its price point---especially if you can snag one at MSRP (which is admittedly difficult right now). The Civic Type R will probably end up being a hair faster, but the price of admission will be at least $10k higher after dealer markups and that car won't have anywhere near the same personality as the N does. The interior has dual 10 inch screens (digital gauge cluster and infotainment), comfortable bucket seats, and everything is customizable in N mode, where the car takes on a new and radically different personality...and did I mention the exhaust? My goodness, they tuned this exhaust note beautifully, and it makes what is hands-down the best 4-cylinder sound that you'll find in the segment. If you care about how your car sounds and you want to average 30mpg+ (I'm currently over 32 in mixed driving), this car should be at the top of your list. Will the suspension be a bit too firm for some? Perhaps, but the joy that this car brings me makes it easy to forgive the few faults that it has, and I'll definitely be keeping it as long as I can. Get an N car before they're gone, folks. Mr. Biermann just retired and soon your only options will be automatic and electric. For now, I'll enjoy his parting gift to automotive enthusiasts everywhere. Thanks, Al.

2022 Elantra N seriously a fabulous car
The list is short and quite irrelevant for the list of things I don't like about my new phantom black Hyundai Elantra N. It boils down to a lack of electric seats, a slow wireless charging pad for your phone, and a poorly placed trunk release button. I am a heavy person who feels comfortable in the seats of the Elantra N. These seats are firm and feel like they are hugging you as you drive. You fit snuggly in them as you make hard turns. The inside of the car is amazing with it's wonderful use of technology and great materials. This car feels like I am driving 3 different types of cars. I can customize everything about this car, from the sound of it, to how it handles. When I am driving to school, I turn the car into a quiet car so to gain better miles per gallon and to not draw attention. When I was to have fun...I turn it into a loud, roaring race car with tight steering and suspension. When I want to achieve 31mpg...I turn the car into ECO mode. From the inside, she sounds almost like an electric car. One day, I would love to take this car to a race track and try out the launch mode provided...I hear it gives an extra 5 horsepower for a short burst of time to launch your car into high speeds. There is a lot of great and fun things that can be said about the car, like TEV matching in manual transmission Elantras or the amazing infotainment system, or the awesome customization of the car, or the stability due to the red bar inserted behind the seats in the back. This car is unreal, and I feel privileged to own it.

Sexy affordable car
A sweet car that can be customized while driving to sound like a normal car so that I do not draw to much attention from the other mom's while in line to pick up my kids from school. Then...when I drive away, I turn it into a high performance sounding race car ... This car make driving SO MUCH FUN!!!! My kids are excited to go to school in Mom's new sports car now! Everything about this car is amazing. It looks sexy and drives sexy. The customization on how the car handles and sounds is amazing. I love the REV matching on my manual transmission, it makes shifting so smooth. And when I want to be naughty...I put the car in launch mode and fly from a stopped position into speed demon in a blink of an eye! My complaints are a few redundant buttons, no interior button for the trunk...plus you must turn off the car to open the trunk, no power seats, few storage options for things like sun glasses, and the wireless charger is a hit or miss in charging. If those things were fixed next year, this would be one heck of a sweet machine!

First time Hyundai
Picked up my Elantra N in Phantom Black this week. Never really thought much about Hyundai until I started reading about the N. I wasn't a huge fan of that grill which is the reason why I chose the Phantom Black color (huge plastic front grill blends in nicely with the color of the body). I've only put about 50 miles on it but for the money this is an extremely fun ride. I am coming from a car with V6 and 330 hp (6MT) but this N is not about straight up power. Handling and suspension are amazing. The sound is also very cool (not like a V6/8 sound but still very cool). I hope Hyundai keeps selling and improving this car as I will definitely buy one again when this one hits 100,000 miles.

N/Line Saved My Life!!
Image a car that can do a square “S” at 80mph to “0”! My Elantra did it! I-95 N at Cheyenne exit a crash with 40+ cars trying to all get off at the bottom of a steep hill. I come over that hill at see the crash and one car stopped maybe two car lengths short of the pack in the center lane. I do a square “S” around it ending up in the fast lane rather than fly off the freeway. No other car l have owned or driven could do that. No my Honda Accord, Nissan Altima or Ford Fusion! Bloody Incredible suspension!
