Not For Me

I'm in a market for a new car. So, before I trade in my 2007 Mazda, I thought I would rent a few cars to try. Hyundai was on my list. Let's talk about pros first. The styling is very nice. The dashboard features great and this model had blindspot monitoring system. I enjoyed the exterior of the car. The engine could have more horsepower. It could be a bit more peppy like my Mazda 3. Overall I give the exterior a 7. Each car is different for every driver. I'm a short driver of 5 feet tall. Visibility was pretty good. Seat comfort was my issue with the car. After about 1 hour of my car trip, my back started to hurt. My legs started to hurt. At first, I thought it was an adjustment to a different car but the next day in the car, it was clear it was the seats. I called the rental company and asked to switch out the car. I have only a few car seats that hurt my back. Hyundai Elantra, Honda, VW Tiguan I'm now in a Chevrolet Cruz. If I Hyundai put the Cruz seats in the Elantra and a peppier engine. It is outstanding. I'm actually considering a Hyundai Kona but due to the seat issue with the Elantra, I'm not sure if Hyundai is for me.

i bought mine in late 2017 so its a 2018. had 4400 miles when i got into a wreck with it. this is when when things went south with insurance and getting it fixed. first off the accident was UNDER 35 mph. the front end is GONE. the shop said $14,000 to fix it. yes you are seeing this correctly. turns out the whole front end including window structure had shifted, and insurance totaled it. had the car for 1 year. the car sits at a body waiting for insurance to pay out and pock it up. if you do buy one of these get GAP to cover you. i will be paying for a heap of scrap long recycled due to poor resell value, or fair market value. at 35 mph this should be fixable not scrappable.

I have a 2018 Value Edition. Sleek exterior including LED daytime running lights. Interior is stylish. Car comes equipped with Apple/Android CarPlay, which is really nice, and includes heated front seats. Back up camera is active (moves with your steering wheel) and clear.

The SE is the Base model. I am not expecting to much. Comfort is decent ( no lumbar adjustment) ride is just OK with stock tires. Fuel economy so far has been great @ around 39 MPG average. (ECO mode). We will see how the dealer support is.Overall a pretty good little car for $15,500 OTD.
