2015 Hyundai Elantra SE
I love this car! I was going to get the 2014,but these just came out so I decided to go with the 2015 Elantra SE. I just came out of the 2009 Hyundai Elantra GLS, which I loved as well. So sticking with an Elantra was no question for me. There is no difference really with the 2014 and 2015. But, the car I bought had a package with bluetooth, touch screen, rear view camera, and 16 in alloy wheels, which is all fantastic to have. The car was around 20k. If you are looking to get a newer Elantra, the 2014 is cheaper and pretty much the same except the extra package options of course. The car has very good get-up-and-go, awesome updated features, large back seat room and roomy trunk.
Solid Purchase - Limited
I purchased in May of 2015 and have since taken it to 2 road trips and accumulated 6k miles on it. I can honestly say its a solid purchase. Comfortable, full of features, handles well (not sporty) looks amazing. Its fuel economy is "OK", only because it was rated at 27-37 city/hwy mpg, but I calculated 24-26 overall in mostly city/some highway driving but factored in is the traffic of Las Vegas. I love the drive selectable steering, the transmission is okay, you can on some occasions feel the transmission shift harshly, but rarely. My passengers and I both agree that the back seats are not comfortable on long road trips, they're leather so I'm not sure this could be said about cloth seats. Our butts and backs were very sore at the 2 hour mark, stretching at each rest stop was a must, but the two front seats were Okay for the road trip. ***update around 10k miles the car had made a short whining noise which disappeared instantly, but then the a/c started getting hot. I called Hyundai roadside and they towed to the dealership because at that point I wasn't sure if it was going to make the 20 mile trek. The a/c compressor had given out at 10,000 miles is what they told me. This was covered under warranty and cost me nothing. This was just one of those 0.001% of products might fail situations is what I'm what I'm guessing as they never really gave me an explanation why it had given out. Now at 17500 miles, car is still going strong, more road trips around Cali were done and this car still proves to be good all around. Fuel economy on the highway (75-80mph) was 32 mpg at each gas station.

I Love My Hyundai Elantra Sport
! am thankful each and every day I get behind the wheel of my 2015 Hyundai Elantra Sport. Everything from my original review still applies. I read in all of the auto reviews that my Elantra is not fun to drive. Really? I feel like a kid again each time I buckle up and go for a spin. My car has always gotten me words of approval, especially from the younger guys. The headlights are especially noteworthy as illuminating the road without interfering with others coming at me head on. I still say the the head-on look of my Elantra is the most striking of any vehicle, not just other Elantra vintages. My car has "bells and whistles" that I haven't even begun to use, simply because I haven't had the need. As for my dealer, Tony Hyundai, they have been super great. I'm treated like family whenever I bring my car in for servicing. Oil changes, an adjustment to my moon-roof (not really used thus far) and a safety check is all I've had to bring my car in for. They too have kept me appraised of changes/updates on a regular basis. My car is FUN TO DRIVE. Let me say that again, my car is FUN TO DRIVE.

just purchased
My husband and I bought two new Hyundais this past Saturday we purchased a 2014 accent and a 2015 elantra se I am driving the elantra so far I love the way it handles the seats are comfortable, as far as head room it seems to be plenty. It is a great fit for three children in the back or will seat or two adults comfortably with plenty of leg room all the way around. The radio sounds great from the speakers there is plenty of storage also all the way around the overall style of the elantra is great inside and out. One thing I have noticed that I don't like is all the road noise inside the cabin at highway speeds almost as if I have the Windows down. We can also feel and hear every bump
Car is great except with minor flaws
First of all it doesn't come with a spare tire and jack so I have to buy my own spare tire and jack. There are times that the trunk just open by itself, it doesn't open all the time so I don't trust it. I don't put anything valuable in my trunk because of this problem. Maybe it will be better to deactivate the remote trunk opener, it could be the key button or trunk receiver need to be deactivated. Also it doesn't come with a key to open the trunk, it does have a lever by the driver seat that will open the trunk. So two ways to open the trunk is by the lever and by the remote control. Another minor thing is the sunglass compartment wherein it opens by itself. It was a recall and the dealer already had repaired mine but still there are times that when I get in to the car, I found it open. Mileage I think is good, I got 27mpg in the city and went to grand canyon and I got 38mpg. So far these are the only flaws that I had found, I will write some more review if I discover new flaws of the car. Update of my review - The trunk now seldom opens, sunglass compartment still opens from time to time.

2015 Elantra review
Good car for a commute due to the gas mileage. Bought it for my wife’s 20+ mile trip to work. Have had no issues with it. We had a 2011 prior to this which seemed to be more solid. Only a few complaints. If you put a good bit of luggage in the trunk for a long trip it will cup the inside of your rear tires after 2000 miles. Rear suspension could be better. 2nd complaint would be how the steering is extremely sensitive, would definitely try to drive on the interstate prior to purchasing one. Lastly it is a noisy ride and I purchased expensive replacement tires and they are noisy as can be. Other than that it’s a decent car. Interresting fact the faster I go on the interstate the better mileage it gets.....only car I have ever seen I can say that for.

Outstanding
i took this car on a 5000 mile trip through the Southwest with my Wife. The car performed flawlessly ! We averaged well over 30 miles per gallon every tankful . Even on the days going through the deserts traveling at high speeds. At 85 the tach was reading 2800 rpm. The car feels stabile at that speed as well. I really don't know the top speed of this car but I do know it's above 115. (I have the Sport w/ the 2.0 four cyl.) Ride quality was very good. I did notice some wind noise around the driver door. I will see if this can be adjusted out.
Clutching at fun driving
This is my third Elantra in about six years. Started out with the GLS, moved to the Limited, and now currently have the Sport with the 2.0L engine and 6-speed manual tranny. The GLS was good -- good content for the price, reliable, good mileage, etc. I drive a bunch of miles a week, so moved on to the Limited. Many more features, but I didn't like the steering with the OEM low-profile tires. Ran it for a few years, and then got a red Sport manual. This one is my sweet spot. The steering, suspension, etc. is different from that of the GLS and Limited, and is perfect for me. (The ride is not adjustable, btw, as it is on the other models. One size may not fit all, but it is comfortable for me.) Also regarding the ride: Ride quality is greatly influenced by wheelbase. This is a short wheelbase car, and so will feel the bumps and road chop more than my wife's large Buick. Again, for you SE/Limited owners, play with your suspension choices on the test drive (or better yet, rent an Elantra for a few days, and put it through its paces) -- hopefully you'll find a setting that works. If not, don't buy the car. Hyundai does play with the content on the different years and models, so study what the sticker says vs. what you really want. I knew, for example, Hyundai only included a can of Fix-a-flat so I negotiated a full-spare kit for my car. Was not able to get the dealer to throw in the automatic rearview mirror, which I do miss a bit. Maybe because I have the manual tranny and can therefore better control shifting, my mostly-hiway commute yields 37 mpg in winter (denser air) and 39 in the summer. I've hit as high as 42 mpg in the summer, driving at highway speeds. Believe it or not, folks, YOU largely control your mileage, based on your driving habits. I read one review here where the writer complained about the radio controls while driving. Wow. Priorities, anyone? Yeah, Bach requires a different set of listening parameters than do the Beach Boys, but set the controls and then DRIVE. Yeah, I find myself changing stations, volume, etc. on my daily two-hour commute, but make 99% of those changes with the steering wheel controls. Rant continued: While I guess the dealer experience is part of the car for some folks, I'm trying to evaluate the CAR here. (For the record, I've purchased all three of my Elantras from the same dealer, and have had most of my service down at the dealer. No major complaints.) For me, this CAR is fun, a good purchase, and what I need to get me to/from the office and run weekend errands. I've had no major mechanical issues with any of the three, and do oil changes/tire rotations at 7500-mile intervals. Happy motoring!

Oh, the things they don't tell you! UPDATE
After 5 months of driving this piece of garbage I traded it in and there will NEVER be a Hyundai piece of junk on my driveway again-I'll never even accept one as a rental. This thing drove like a beat up and worn out '68 station wagon. From the way under-designed suspension to the junk Continental tires, the car drove so bad that the handling was dangerous. Driving over a bump on the freeway, especially in a turn, required absolute concentration just to stay in my lane. All is well now, though. The car I traded it in for is a Nissan Altima, which is a fantastic car. Very well built and drives like a well made car should-which the Hyundai is not. I've had this car for about 6 months and it's ok, but there are a few things that will make it the last Hyundai I'll buy. First, the gas mileage. I do a lot of highway driving for work and so far the best I've gotten is 33.2 mpg. I drive around 70 in a 65 (any closer to 65 and I'd get run off the road) and I've found that in order for me to get better gas mileage I have to drive closer to 80. I don't get it. There seem's to be something wrong with the gearing for this to occur, or maybe electronics, but this makes no sense. Secondly, this so called "10 year, 100,000 mile warranty" that Hyundai pushes was attempted to be added by the salesman or sales manager to my contract. I was told it came with the car, but what I wasn't told was it was going to cast me an additional $6K!! This was after they told me the honor Truecar estimates and then tried to add $5K to the price of the car. (They said it had extras not on the estimate until I showed them the VIN number on the estimate was the same as the car on the contract.) After 2+ hours of getting a tad hot under the collar I got the price without the bogus warranty. Then I got home and found out there was no spare. Just a repair kit that you can't use since the majority of tire failures happen on the freeway which pretty much destroys the tire. After finding out the ungodly amount of money Hyundai wanted for what should have been in the car (or at least I should have been told wasn't in the car) I found everything on Ebay for less than half. As for form fit and function, the car's not bad. It's quiet and comfortable. I have the sport and popular packages so it has the sunroof, fog lights, etc.. Throttle reponse is weak, though, and sometimes the transmission jerks on acceleration as if the car doesn't know what gear it should be in. The suspension is weak. Real weak. The Hancook tire are also garbage. When I encounter a rough patch on a curve I have to be ready because this thing will jump all over the place. Also the "slip angle" of the tires on turns is terrible. There's 2 more things to buy. The sound system is ok. The volume capability is less than half of what it should be. To have any decent volume just to listen to talk radio it needs to be just short of full blast. And no I don't have any hearing problems. Also the controls are designed to cause accidents. If you want to say lower the bass, park first because you'll be tapping the screen controls that are badly placed and too small for driving just to get to the small, badly placed buttons to make the adjustments. This will be corrected with a small amplified equalizer in the center console compartment-one with knobs so you don't have to take your eyes off the road. Yet something else to pay for that shouldn't be an issue. Anyway, for me this car is a swing and a miss. With the other quality cars out there that granted cost a bit more, Hyundai comes up lacking. Best warranty in the business? Maybe, but they need to make it clear that it will cost you dearly. Not inform the buyer there's no spare, because I've yet to meet anyone that asks if there is one? Major issue. How many husbands would like to find out while out with the family or from your wife because she's on the freeway with a shredded blow out? Change the station and you want to lower the blasting bass? Don't even think about it if your driving. Hit a bump on the freeway? Hang on brother or you could be modifying the body style real quick. Sorry Hyundai. As long as these types of things exist in your sales staff and vehicles, I'll be driving Honda's. Again.

Better Think Twice about the Hyundai Elantra
Well we don't have the 2015 Elantra Sport any longer. After a year and a half of ownership, what started out to look like a sound investment on an economy car turned out to be a decision for which we would have like to have a do over. All total we put 14K miles on the car. The first issue was the fancy schmancy navigation radio going kaput. Hyundai wanted $600 to swap out our busted unit for a refurbished one with 5 year old technology. So we looked into the after market, but quickly discovered that the fancy push button ignition and peculiar specs made that difficult and protracted process, not to mention expensive, $600 - $1000 to sort it out. Next was tires. At purchase the tires were practically new and after only 14k were looking worn. And that's with regular rotation every 5000 and air pressure checks. I didn't perceive any suspension or alignment issues, but something had to be going on for the tires to wear so fast. Granted front drive cars wear front tires first, but regular rotation should alleviate a lot of that. Of course tire quality could have something to do with it too. Another annoying issue was the bubbled rear window tint that had been installed at the dealer by a local third party tint contractor. At first it was perfect but not long after purchase started bubbling to the point that rear view was affected. Even though the car was still under factory warranty and we purchased a modest warranty extension, and that reputable tint shops warranty their work, the dealer would not stand behind the tint job. Another shocker was insurance cost. I've been with the same insurance company for 27 years and.have good credit and driving record. However, insurance cost was significantly higher than expected. Who'd of thought a no frills economy car would cost more than my Jeep Wrangler? That's nuts, but true. When we insured the Hyundai's replacement, another Jeep product, the annual premium dropped almost $600... Wow!! Apparently the insurance institute doesn't like Hyundai Elantra. So with those issues we were looking at roughly $1500 worth of repairs just to get the car back to its condition at purchase. Mind you we'd only had it for about a year a half and only put 14k miles on it with regular maintenance. Along with this add to the fact that the car was too low and lightly built to handle the roads driving in Mexico. Therefore, we started looking at alternatives... and none too soon, because we discovered that the Elantra's value depreciates like a stone sinking in a lake. After a year and a half of ownership, we discovered that it was worth $2000 less than what we owed. Purchase price was right at 12K +TT&L, we put money down, monthly was about $225, and at that point we owed $8000. There's no logical reason we should have been upside down in that car except for the fact that the auto industry must think the Hyundai Elantra is crap. What a disappointment! A dealer we visited, for once, gave it to us straight when he showed us information indicating that the Elantra's value would continue to go do down. So weighing out the options we traded it off, only recovering $6000, which meant we'd have to eat the $2000 difference over what was owed. Lesson learned. Although Toyota, Honda, and Maybe Nissan are well-established foreign makes with good brand reputation, reliability, and resale value, apparently that does not include Hyundai and I would suspect Mitsubishi, and Suzuki, or other off brands. To be balanced, I do have to say that the Hyundai 2.0L engine had plenty of pep. It was fun to drive, nothing approximating my Jeep Wrangler, but for a little city car it was OK. And it offered amenities found on much more expensive cars, but that wasn't enough to overcome it's weaknesses. Long story short: buyer beware, do your homework, and if it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

Going strong..until it hit 100,000
Loved this car for years then as it approached 90000 to 100 thousand miles..total engine failure. Maintained the car took very good care of it and there was no reason that the engine should have just failed no mechanic I have seeked out even wants to work on it they told me to cut my losses and go.. I have found countless blogs about engine failure but around a hundred thousand miles I sure thought I would get a lot more miles out of it

Elantra Is Usually Great Not This One.
Usually the Elantra is a great car, I must have got a bad one. Constant issues with this car. In 60,000 miles I've had to replace the heating core, two tire sensors for the pressure, multiple hoses that started leaking anti freeze, Ball joints, and to top it off the engine failed and needed a brand new engine.

Stay Away from this hunk of Crap!
Chief complaint: the freaking (and I don't mean freaking) trunk goes thru spells where it just pops up whenever it wants. Seriously, I stood in the parking garage at work for 45 freaking minutes closing my trunk because it pops open every 3 minutes! I took it to the dealership and the guy from the service department told me that he was familiar with the problem because it happened to him when he drove a loaner vehicle, however, the techs weren't going to be able to diagnose and fix it unless they actually saw the trunk popping up with their own eyes! Are you freaking kidding me! Now I'm standing guard at my trunk because it keeps popping open and I live in a freaking apt complex! Next complaint: the alignment or something is off... You can't hold the damn car straight in one lane. No matter how straight and steady you hold the steering wheel, you still end up swerving and veering into someone else's lane. Additional complaint: the worst acceleration that I've ever experienced in a vehicle... good luck pulling a heel. Haha! You can mash the gas to the floor and you'll literally be going 10mph, but give it about 2-3 minutes it'll respond to you pushing the accelerator. Last complaint: Idk why, but the windows fog up like crazy! Myself and a coworker who has this same car discussed this... you literally need the defroster year-round...the windows just fog up... no talking or singing with the radio --the windows just fog up. This was a horrible purchase and I'm counting the days until I can trade it in. I purchased this car in March 2015 with 4 miles on it. Today it has 4,500 Miles exactly...and the freaking trunk won't close! Im seriously considering speaking with an attorney re: our local Lemon Law. No way a brand spanking new car should have these issues! Why am I outside, in the dark, closing my trunk every 3 minutes... at this very moment...

This is my 3rd car, but 2nd Hyundai. My first car was an '07 Hyundai Accent, and my 2nd was a '15 Chevy Sonic. This car definitely outperforms both of them and has way more features. I just bought the car with 107,000 miles on it. It runs like a dream. The only issue I've had with it so far is a bad tire pressure sensor, which is only a $50 fix. The trunk is huge the interior is stunning and comfortable It did not come with a front license plate bracket, but they're cheap and easy to install no rust on the body headlights are bright and clear but don't seem to blind oncoming traffic recommended psi is 32, but max is 50, so I bumped it up to 45 for a smoother ride I would definitely recommend this car.

I am driving a lemon & blow up with me in it
2015 Hyundai Eleantra SE is a LEMON!! We have had problems with this car for years now. It is one thing after another. We had the car in for several issues with the car. Two of the issues the dealership could not even fix the problem. I made a list of all the issues that we are having with the car. On 11/15/2016 with 12185 miles on the car, we had to replace the battery on the car. On 05/22/2017 with 15516 miles on the car, we had to replace (2) tires on the car because the tires were bald. On 11/03/2017 with 18268 on the car, we had to replace the other (2) tires on the car because the tires were bald. We had problem with the car stalling. The dealership could not find anything wrong with the car. On 01/18/2018 with 20747 miles on the car. We had a problem with a sound when the car starts. When the car starts it sounds like metal clinking. It does not matter if the car is cold in the morning or anytime of the day. When I start the car, it makes this sound. I had to tape the sound so the service advisor could hear the sound. The tech could not hear it. 02/08/2018 with 20749 miles on the car. We still had the problem with a sound when the car started. When the car starts it sounds like metal clinking. The dealership kept the car overnight. The next day the tech did hear the sound. They tested the alternator and it was bad. They had to replace the alternator on the car. Even after the dealership replaced the alternator I still had the same sound as before. The replacement of the alternator did not stop the souund. 03/20/2018 with 20802 miles on the car. We are still having the same sound when the car is started. It does not matter what time of the day the car is started, the same sound happens. It sounds like a metal clinking. I had a tape of the sound, the tech did not hear a thing. We are still having the same issue with the sound when the car starts. I am scared to start the car because the dealership can not find out what is wrong with it. I am scared it might blow up when the car starts because of this issue. I had taped this twice but the dealership will not fix this issue because the tech could not hear the sound. Something is seriously wrong with the car or the dealership is lying. It should not be making this metal clinking noise when I start the car. I had several people hear this noise but not the dealership. We had this one issue with the car since 2016. I have told them about the issue but they never did anything about it or even looked into it, just looked at me like I am nuts. The issue is this. When I fill the car up with gas the (Range for the miles to go on the car) it does not stay the same thing each time. One time it will be 301, 304, 299, 289, or 275. Something is wrong with the Range Miles to go. Just the other day, I put gas in the car. I started the car, the Range started at 279, then dropped to 256 before I even left the gas Station. The Range keeps dropping while I am driving. In 1 mile I go, it drops 4 miles or more. I am not in heavy traffic or stop and go driving. I am not speeding or have anything heavy in the car. I do not even know why this issue happens. When I first had this problem, I had to get a new battery. I had the dealership check the battery. The battery was fine. This is happening all the time with the Range issue. Now, as you read this we had to replace 4 tires, 1 battery, 1 alternator. Still have problem with the metal clinking sound when I start the car and the gas range. I am so afraid when I start the car because of this issue the car will catch on fire or blow up with my mom or myself inside. Since they can not find a thing wrong with the car. This car is a true lemon.

Comfy, Zooms and Love It!
This is the first car I have bought since 2006, and Giovanni's Auto in Peru, IL was GREAT! My Elantra had just over 40,000 on it. I saw someone else had the trunk issue, too, but it's minor. I think what happens is...the button to open the trunk is set up on the remote in a way where, it can almost push itself when in your hand or pocket. That may sound bad, but it has only happened 2 times to me, and I noticed it right away each time. I'd rather have a completely smooth-running car, that I can trust every single time I go to start it, that gets great gas mileage, w a lil issue w the trunk opening on it's own due to the remote...than a car that you can't trust, even a little bit. :) I do notice the difference when I drive my Mom's old Mountaineer (high off the ground) and get back in mine, but that is normal. The mountaineer is so much taller, and is an SUV. The Elantra is not. I have an (almost) 3 year old, and she is big for her age and she fits just fine in the back w her car seat. I have plenty of room to throw many bags of groceries next to her, if I don't want to use the trunk. The speakers sound great, and I like the mp3 option plug-in, as I never had that before in any cars. I love this car, and I just wish they had had a different color than the usual "silver" or "grey." :) I can't wait to take this car on a nice, long road-trip. It's a great feeling to trust your car so much for things like that, besides daily driving.

Worst Car ever bought!!
Bought the car New from dealer. After 40 to 50k the start the engine was knocking. Complained to dealership but nothing was done. Read through some information and the Hyundai engines have an issue with slapping pistons and undersized oil pump. At 90K the engine oil pan & crank case gasket seal leak was discovered. Was diagnosed by another mechanic and not the dealer. It was fixed the first couple times under warranty. The vehicle now has 138k and the oil pan gasket has been replaced 5 times & crank case gasket seal 3 times. Dealership could not fix there own vehicle. Finally had enough and decided to trade in this vehicle. The new dealer gave me a trade price and when vehicle was inspected they found an oil pan gasket leak(again) and when they phoned the Hyundai dealership were I bought it they told them that the vehicle had a defective engine. This is the first time Hyundai was truthful but ironic because the dealer reduced the trade in price by $1000 . Hyundai not only sells vehicles with defective engines but the dealership bad mouthed their own products. If in Canada check the show Marketplace where they featured Hyundai and their defective engines. I will never buy or recommend to anyone to buy a Hyundai.

Can't handle impact!
My 2015 Elantra was a failure under pressure. Had a car accident and learned the airbag sensors are set to low. The front bumper was impacted twice and I was rear ended once. We were traveling at 40-50 mph upon impact. Very disappointed. There is not a recall on this year and model. Be very careful.

5 years, no problems
Want a reliable, comfortable car that shouldn't cost you too much to maintain...? One that is at-home in the city or on the highway? A car that requires minimum maintenance, so all you have to worry about is gas, oil changes, wiper blades and very little else for those first five years...? I think this is one of those cars. After five years and a little less than 60,000 miles, the only (apparently well-known and almost universal) problems I've had were: - a couple burnt headlamps (the dealership suggests changing both when one is burnt; this is actually good advice, and if you're patient, you can do it yourself in about an hour -- the inside of the lamps are hard to get at so it just takes time), and - a battery that died 1-2 years earlier than I expected (a couple experts told me this is chronic in factory batteries in the Asian compacts, particularly Hyundai...They put cheapo batteries in to help their production costs on these cars that have razor-thin profit margins). One note for potential buyers: If you don't mind a hatchback (and we really shouldn't), try to get a deal on the GT model...Here in Canada, the new sticker price is not only $2000-4000 cheaper than the sedan, but -- for some reason, likely lower sales volume or something -- the dealerships are always blowing these hatches out at even better bargains, and often throwing in upgrade packages as well. Another suggestion: Get the 2.0 litre engine. It ain't fast, but it ain't slow... Simply a well-made, reliable, comfortable, no-fuss car at a pretty good price.
Very Reliable!
I’ve owned this car since 2015 and it’s January 2020 now and I haven’t change or fixed a single part. I’ve did the regular maintenance like oil changes, transmission fluid drain and refill, spark plugs, brakes, cabin and air filters and a new battery. All of the above are schedule maintenance you would have to do with every car.

Hyundai product sucks.
If you live pay check to pay check and you buy the Hyundai product. Your be filling for bankruptcy after you see the repair bills. Just remember this. The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten!

Very reliable!
This car has excellent gas mileage, it rides smoothly, and it's a great first car. The only thing it didn't have was bluetooth which was an easy fix, I bought a car bluetooth off of amazon, it works great.

Love this car
I loved my Hyundai Elantra. I would still be driving it except I needed more room for my growing family. My Elantra was GREAT on gas mileage. Around town I was still getting over 30 mpg and once on a long interstate trip I got 40mpg. It handles well and so easy to park. We had it for 4.5 years and basically no repair costs...just routine maintenance. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a small car.

No
Don’t expect your car to last 100,000+ miles without engine problems. Had to swap my engine due to motor failure. It has been knocking since 80k and not a single mechanic could fix it. Although, they said it was a very common problem. Also been burning through oil, filling it every 500-1,000 miles. If you commute far, I don’t recommend.

Solid value for our money
While Hyundai did repair the lower block @ 41k miles (due to it beginning to tick during cold starts), its otherwise been a relatively problem free little gas mizer for our daughter to use thru her entire undergrad/graduate school span. Replaced a problem evap cannister once, & a couple oil pan gaskets, but all in all, can't complain with 42-45 hiway mpgs for commutes. Will be a solid car for another college student for another ~4 years, given it's only @115k on the clock today(74k on that Hyundai dealer rebuilt motor).

POS car
I bought a 2015 Hyundai Elantra Sport and within months the engine seized up and I had to buy a new engine. My daughter bought a 2016 Hyundai Sonata and within months the engine is seized up and needing to be replaced. Hyundai won't pay for 1 cent of any of this - be sure to check the online reviews of these cars and their engines - there is a class action lawsuit on this. These cars are cheaply built and are not worth one red cent
Easy
With over 270k miles, I can honestly say that this has been the best car I have ever owned. Easiest car to maintain and fun to drive.
