My Elantra
I've had my new 2005 Elantra for 1 week and from day 1 I just fell in love. It handles beautifully! The gas mileage is unbelieveable! Wonderful car, we're very happy.
just a great car
This car replaced my chevy avalanche for reasons of fuel economy. I opted for the hatch to still be able to carry a few things. I'm not comfortable in many cars because of my 6'3" frame but even on long trips this car has been very comfortable. Fuel economy has been excellent with about 31.5 mpg combined. The build quality is excellent and even though this is my first Hyundai, it will not be my last. I would recommend this car to anyone needing a practical and economical commuter that still has a lot of luxury features.

Cheap, reliable car
I bought this car for $800, had 189000 miles on it. I put about $700 in repairs to the car when i got it, none of which kept the car from driving. The exterior clear coat has came off and doesnt look good, but the interior has held up really well. I fixed the passenger cv axle, put new tires on, and gave it an alignment. Ive drove the everloving crap out of this car. Ive put 11000 miles on this car in 5 months. It has yet to contract any new problems since ive had it until now. Its still driving but the clutch is wearing out. But it has been very very reliable, not fun to drive, but cheap and reliable. I do have to say though, the absolute worst thing with this car is the ride quality. I swear it is worse than a 1 ton truck. One reason im trading it in on a truck. But, if your in need of a cheap reliable car to get you through a tough spot, i definitly recommend one of these. Btw i get average 26mpg on highway going about 75 to 80. Really good on gas.

2005 GLS Hatchback 5 speed
After 3 months and 7000 miles the car has been in the shop 4 times. Three times for problems with the cruise control and once because they did not replace the drain plug properly after an oil change which caused a leak and because the paint was coming off where a bird made a deposit. I was told the warranty did not cover the paint as it was a "foreign substance". They would have covered it had I purchased their after market paint sealer. I called Hyundai Customer Care and was told, "Paint is not covered under warranty if the car is exposed to outside elements". I asked how I was expected to drive the car without exposing it to outside elements? No answer just a "it's our policy sir".
05 Elantra GLS
This is an excellent car for the money. The warranty is exceptional as well
