Buyer Beware
i owned a 2005 elantra and it caught fire after 4 months 4000 miles. it was determined by the columbus fire department to be a defect in the car and then later determined by nationwide's fire specialist to also be a manufactures defect. the dealership and hyundai in fountain valley california have done nothing to resolve the loss of my vehicle. hyundai motor finance company through which i financed is still making me pay for a car that obviously is unreliable and a lemon. buyer beware and check out NHSTA.com.
Check Engine Light on
Bought this with 9000 miles on it nothing but problems with it, brakes tires, rotors, check engine light is on evap leak somewhere, plugs and wires replaced, many very small dents everywhere, gas cap replaced, headlight bulbs replaced three times, air bag doesn't read my 20 year old that weighs 105 pounds, the only thing good about this car is the gas mileage
Problems!
I have had numerous problems with my car. I researched it thoroughly but seemed to overlook the fact that all the good quality reviews were INITIAL. after 2 months of having my car the problems continued to roll in. Now a little over a year old, it seems like i have a new problem every month. I am also not impressed with the service workmanship i have received.
Great First Car purchase
Great performance, very smooth on road, great first car purchase. Saves me alot on gas. But need to include ABS as standard option with cruise control. Needs better speakers for good quality. Overall outstanding car.
EX G.M. OWNER
I've worked for G.M. for 38 years and have always had GM vehs. This car is the first foreign car I have ever owned. The fit and finish is excellent and the quality of the waorkmanship is excellent. I was very supprised and very well pleased.
