This has to be the best, most reliable car I have ever owned. 57,000 trouble free miles, unbelievable I know!

We bought this car BRAND NEW with 8 miles on it. I liked the look of the outside, and my brother had bought a '99 Accent & had no problems with it. This car has been NOTHING but one problem after another. We have had the speedometer break once a year, and it has been totally replaced once. It broke again yesterday, and we have to have it fixed again this week. The transmission was replaced before the car was 4 years old, and now that it is almost 5 years old it is going in again for problems! I WOULD and WILL *never* purchase another Hyundai as long as I live. I'm lucky I paid an extra $1500 for the extended warranty beyond their 100,000 mile deal they have. It has saved our pocket books!

Over 10 years of reliability so far

Even though I have put very little mileage on this car (26,000 in the past over 10 yrs.) it has been very reliable for my needs. The only repairs I've had to deal with other than field mice chewing wiring, was some sort of valve failure in the emissions system when the car reached the age of 10 years..(a $240 job). Oh, and the cover came off the catalytic converter awhile back, but both the dealer and my local mechanic assure me it's okay as long as don't park on long grass which I wouldn't do anyway even with the cover on. I seem to get way better mileage claims and I only use it for around town errands (obviously by the low mileage). I hate to give it up.

I have no complaints on this car. I would buy a wagon again. It is a little tight in the back seat for three adults or two kids and a car seat.
