Great Vehicle
Excellent Vehicle!! Bought it in March and drove to South Carolina in May!! What a joy. Tons of space, quiet and comfortable.
Great SUV
The Honda Pilot is really a gem. We just took our family to North Carolina from Ohio and it was truly a comfortable ride. We traded in our Chrysler MiniVan for this and have no regrets. With two out of three kids in a child restraint seat, the second row still has plenty of room for an adult. The only thing I can say negetive about it is that the third row is quite compact and unless you are a small adult (like 5'2 and under, you would not be too comfortable. Otherwise, it's a great choice for a family and anytone who likes to travel.

Great SUV except in the curves
Honda got it right with this one! The vehicle ives up to the rave reviews that it has been getting, with excellent Honda quality throughout. Just a reminder, this is a SUV and not a car; you need to slow down on the highway exit ramps!
Best SUV ...
We test drove a lot of SUVs, but couldn't find the right one until we drove the Pilot. We were looking for an SUV that drove more like a car than a truck, had good power, 4WD capability, and versatility between cargo space and seating. The Pilot is exactly what we were looking for.
Nav system
The Pilot offers execellent cargo space with a smooth ride. I don't go off road enough to need a 4Runner but do make long trips using the interior cargo space. The NAV systems has proven worth the additional cost.
A Great SUV without the bulk
We bought this is may of 2006 for 18k with 34k miles on it. I replaced the tires and brakes, along with fixing the rear a/c ($50) and 5 minutes of my time to install the new part. My wife primarily drives this car, and she has really enjoyed it. It has proved excellent in the snow here I despite being able to carry 8 people, this car is only slightly longer than my 98 Subaru wagon. We have taken many 1000 miles trips, and have been very impressed in the power and handling. On trips averaging 80-85 mph, we average a bit over 20 mpg which is outstanding considering the size and power. Even with all season tires, the awd does great, and the vcm lock is great for really slippery conditions.
Most reliable car I’ve owned
My 2003 Honda pilot is on the verge of 200,000 miles, after a very long road trip from Canada to Central America, it’s still running on original transmission and engine, amazing car all around!

Never again
First Honda. Big mistake. Rattles and squeaks over Western PA roads. Problems starting in cold weather. Rear brakes cause major concern. They get stuck and heat up until they smoke. The rear wheels get so hot from the brakes, you cannot touch them. Seems worse when very cold outside. Seems like the emergecy brake gets stuck on. When they get stuck, brakes cause the car to feel like it is driving over rumble stips. Dealer cannot figure it out after several repair attempts. Claims Honda cannot figure it out and no problems reported by others. Unsafe. Trading it in with disclosure.
excellent job honda
this vehicle is awesome. there is a premium above msrp, but compared to everything else on the market this is a steal. i took delivery of my taffeta white/fern pilot ex-l 5/31, and i cant get anough of it. in fact i think my neighbor wants want too.
I would never purchase Honda Pilot
The heating /cooling ventilation system is poor, bad circulation, side windows ice up inside during driving to ski resorts. Car seats 7 passengers and one driver, but windows fog up all around vehicle interior with only three passengers. Seats are built so close together, impossible to get fingers down to floor level to retrieve dropped coins, credit cards, vacuum crumbs etc, hard to clean carpets as nozzle does not fit in such tight spaces where seats are anchored. Plastic in vehicle is poor quality, breaks easily. Had number of factory recalls for safety restraint systems, All in all, a poorly-designed car.
Typical Honda
What a great car. Just got it, but already know it is well made and built to last. All the little things seem to come together just right, the car feels solid, has an excellent turning radius and does not seem "truck-like".
Where's the Sunroof?
Why isn't a sunroof an option/accesory from Honda? All the competitors offer one!
Very Little Interior Room
The Honda Pilot is after all a Honda but that's where the benifit stops. My wife and I have 5 children, ranging from 15 to 4 years of age. The leg room alotted for the third row seating is slim to none. Head room is at a minimum as well as the over all comfort of the passengers. This would be a great 5 passenger vehicle! However, to sell it as a comfortable ride for eight people is completely ridiculous!!! My 4 year old daughters legs are cramped in the third row seat, making this, in my opinion, one of the worst "SUV's" on the market.
I love this car
Solid, reliable, safe and fun. Plus huge cargo capacity. A great replacement for my Toyota Previa AWD which to my great sorrow was discontinued.
Great reliability and price
This is my first Honda car and I'm trilled with my choice! I bought it for the legendary Honda reliability and did not regret it for a second. Pilot drives pretty good if you take size of this truck into consideration. Performance on snow is unreal. In the winter, I park in the biggest pile of snow I can find, and Pilot gets in and out without any problems every time.
like the honda
I have 13,000 miles on my honda pilot and it has been a solid purchase. I have read other reviews and agree with some of the minor problems. The lid on the center console was a problem in not staying latched. A few small rattles that come and go. I do not like the tires. The Bridgestone's are not up to the standards of others, I have tried to trade them in for better tires but the hit I would take is not worth it. Overall, I am happy with my honda. I will be taking a trip with it to Colorado from Wisconsin soon and have no doubt it will perform well.
Good all purpose vehicle
In general, the Pilot is a great all purpose vehicle. I have four kids and it fits them and my wife and our stuff comfortably. Drives like a car, easy to park, great sound system, handles well in most situations. Good acceleration and good braking. The ABS probably prevented a fender bender or two! Main issue is driving with windows open: YOU CAN'T! If you exceed 40mph with open windows, the resulting vibration is unbearable. Need to try those window air-foil things.
island of fun
i never thougt that i could be comfortable in a suv.the pilot is just as smooth as any mercedes.
overpriced crv
too small, too loud, too slow
