After much research, we ordered a Pilot. The 2 month wait seemed long but it was worth the wait. Everything about this vehicle is Honda quality. There hasn't been a single issue with it in the first 10,000 miles. And the interior is so useful and well laid out. I could go on and on about this vehicle, but will just say that no one will be disappointed with this vehicle. We wouldn't trade ours for anything. But I haven't seen the 04 Pilot yet!

Honda has come through once again with a practical, family friendly, fun to drive vehicle. My three kids fit comfortably in the second row seat and we have room for their friends when we need to with the flip up third row. I am grateful to no longer drive a minivan. Just watch out for dealer mandatory accessory packages that are unneccessary and make it more costly than it should be. I have the EX with Leather and the DVD and its perfect as is without any accessories!

Have driven our Pilot 3000 miles and it has perfomed great in all situations. Previously had 3 Subarus. Like this much better. Easy to drive to ski areas on snow, hills and sharp curves. Solid and stable. Engine more than sufficient while still using regular. Moves along easily and comfortably at 75+. In town driving 18-19 mpg. Just completed 1600 mile trip to Oregon coast. Averaged 22.6 mpg. Seats comfortable even after a 10 hour day. Visability good in all directions.

We've only had our Pilot for a little over a month but we've done quite a bit of traveling in that time. Great solid car - handles curves like a dream. I really feel in control. Very tight. We lost space in going from a van but with a cargo box on top, we're good to go. Kids LOVE the DVD player (I have to balance it with their reading!)The versatility with the 3rd seat is perfect for us.

This is a great vehicle. I test drove the Acura MDX(which was a good ride) but the Pilot feels more smoother and car-like than its luxury counter-part. Exceleration is great, gas mileage is good, and there's plenty of space for family trips. Great truck! I'm waiting for upgrades, or a full size Honda to compete with the Toyota Sequoia and Nissan (Pathfinder) Armada.

My family of four took delivery of our new Pilot on June 10 and we've put about 600 miles on it since. We had looked seriously at the Acura MDX and decided for the price of a used MDX we could get a new Pilot. The Pilot feels very similar to the MDX. I recently had to do some serious and quick steering to avoid a sports car that was trying to share the lane with me and I was very pleased with the Pilot's response. Fit and finish is quite good. There is plenty of room in the front for my 6.4 foot friend. Middle seats roomy as well. It's nimble around town. This is great alternative to minivans and huge SUVs.

The Honda Pilot is my very first SUV, but my 3rd Honda vehicle. I traded in my perfectly fine 2000 Accord because there is finally an affordable SUV on the market that rides like a car. A week after I purchased this vehicle, my wife and I drove over 2000 miles roundtrip and into the mountains for vacation. Would drive 5+ hours before stopping - very comfortable and loved the storage space. On this same trip we became the chaufeur of choice at a family reunion - not a problem - tons of room for passengers. I would highly recommend this SUV.

like the car a lot. have owned about 6 hondas now and they have all proven to be reliable and solid. like the interior styling a lot but still getting used to gear shift and backing this big thing up. 8^) being used to a 2000 accord, great outdoor vehicle. rode nicely over field and bumps. liked my salesman, didn't care for the "sales manager". agreed to the deal then said they couldn't do it but then changed their mind again as my wife and i were 2 feet from the exit. typical stupid and insulting sales tactics. no fault of Honda though.

Just did initial 600 mile test run in Mts. of Western North Carolina. Very smooth on highway, a little too much body roll in curves(used to bimmer) This is a serious off-road vehicle , It was toe to toe with a landcruiser but the Honda was much more smooth. Great fun and comfort off road. With DVD, the ultimate small family machine. For now,the havasu blue , one of the best looking vehicles on the road today.

This car runs great, love the interior except for the consoles. Gas mileage is horrible I feed this baby once a week. Problem with dampness/wetness on the carpeting from drivers side and passengers side. Had it serviced twice. So buyers beware, have it serviced by a mechanic before you purchase a used Pilot.

I was leaning towards the Toyota Highlander until my friend strongly urged me to take his Pilot out for few hours. I was sold on it and got one the next day for $1,000 under MSRP. Dealership was fantastic (Autofair in Manchester, NH). This is a fantastic vehicle. Smooth, quiet, powerful and a TON of room. It is very well thought out. This is my second car in 9 years. My other was a Honda with 112k miles and zero problems, so I know about Honda reliability first hand. I am completely happy with the decision to purchase it.

We had our pilot for 350 miles when we took a 1000 mile round trip through the mountains of Pennsylvania. We averaged 21.4 mpg. Commuting to work the average is 16.7. I am 6'4", the headroom enables me to wear a hat if I wish. Everyone who rides in the pilot (even in the third seat) comments on the good ride. Areally good buy that won't depreciate quickly!

An SUV V6 size surprising roomy, smart design between the driver/passenger seats. The engine is exceptionally smooth and quiet. Stereo quality that one can only expect in a more expensive vehicle. Starts as 4 wheels, changes to 2 wheels when cruising, auto-switchs back to 4 wheels in sleepery surface. The Pilot is heavier--> stable than, let say the Highlander, and a bigger engine, but uses only 1 mile more per gallon. The rear does not shake when cruising like the Highlander. Share most with the ACURA MDX, with minor differences, with .4 higher, more head room... for 10K less than the MDX.

It sure took Honda a long time to build an SUV, but it's been worth the wait. After much investigation, this is the best midsized SUV on the market. Yes, it's an MDX in jeans, but the vehicle looks great, handles incredibly well and provides tons of room -- all at a reasonable price. Safety and Honda quality are reasons enough to buy the Pilot, but the vehicle offers so much more. Even features like the third row seat folding flat and the stereo controls on the steering wheel demonstrate that Honda gave great thought to the little things too. This will be a terrific SUV for my family for years and years.

So far so good. No return trips to the dealer for problems after 1500 miles. I am happy with the driving experience and overall comfort of the Pilot. I would like a little better cornering feel - I think a bigger tirer/lower profile might be the way to go. Plenty of room in not too big package.

1. There is not enough legroom for the third seat. Even the second row does not move forward so to adjust the legrooms between 2nd and third seats 2. The wheel base is not so wide which is essential for SUVs whose Center of gravity is generally eccentric. 3. There should be heated seats 4. Front passanger seat should be automatic 5. The vehicle should have Trip computer 6. Very very expensive (Dealer was asking $500.00 more than MSRP) 7. Dealer negotiatation is a pain. It is too much for a new SUV which is yet to prove itself on the SUV race. 8. The left foot rest location is under the parking brake making you

We purchased this to replace our BMW 528 and have never looked back (we still have our other BMW). My wife loves sitting up and the features. We recently took a 700 plus mile trip, and averaged 22 miles per gallon driving 75 mph. The only "ODD" thing it took getting used to is the arc of the transmission lever, but that soon passed as we got used to the vehicle. We even had a friend say it looked like a Mercedes on the inside. Some have said that the exterior is somewhat bland, but we like it. I am thinking of adding the factory fog lights to the front end.

I got my pilot 2 months ago, and still think it's the most sound, best investment I ever made in a car. I got the Havasu blue which is BEAUTIFUL, (the internet pics do it no justice, its more silver). It cuts through the NJ snowstorms like butter, even my husband was impressed. Icy roads and bad weather are not a problem, as this vehicle is extremely sure and stable. IT IS SO ROOMY!!!!!

I love the Honda Pilot. It is very easy to reconfigure the seats up and down depending on how many you need seating for, or how much cargo you need to load. The center console holds a lot of stuff. I was worried about children being able to get in and out as easily as a mini van, but I've had no problems. The seats flip up easily for access to the third row. The Rear Entertainment Center is wonderful. The children love to have DVD's on trips and it is so nice to be able to listen to different music in the front while they use headphones. The Pilot drives very nicely. I've driven on interstates and in town and have no complaints.

Checked out Trailblazer and Explorer (Those 2 can't beat this SUV in any category) The styling was bland in the beginning but it is growing on me. I love the 8 passenger feature (although rear is more for 7) and lots of cargo room. Drives like my acura 3.2 TL -smooth.

We purchased our Pilot in Sept.'02 to pull a trailer and move our oldest to Seattle...it drove great and pulled the trailer fine...I love the way it handles ..the NAV system was fun. I am most unhappy with the fact the middle and back seats do not recline enough for kids to sleep..it's hard to take trips with kids with upright seats. After 12 years of Astro vans we are having a time adjusting to the lost space...our last trip was really tough we were packed in like sardines...we are taking a good look at the Toyota Sequoia knowing that kids only get bigger and if we're cramped now.....

Nav system is very good although the software is several years out of date. Audio system is good, dash mounted tweeters are a little shrill. Excellent visibility, large mirrors and good over the hood view. We compared ML350, RX330, MDX, Murano, Touareg.

This is an excellent choice for families looking for a mid-size SUV with a huge cargo are when you only need seating for 5, and the advantage of seating for 8 when the need arises. The interior room, features, comfort, and quality and workmanship are excellent. The engine has just the right amount of "get-up-&-go" for the typical family that needs it in city driving. The 17 and 22 gas mileage I think is better than expected for a vehichle of this size with this kind of accelaration.

Overall, we are very happy with our purchase. A couple of things that I have noticed, as have other Pilot owners, are that the leather on the seats tends to get unattractive wrinkles in it quite easily and the paint seems to scratch/chip quite easily. The Pilot is a solid vehicle which provides the room and seating capacity of a van and the versatility of 4WD. On a trip to Colorado right after our purchase, the DVD entertainment system was worth its weight in gold with our two young children riding in the back. We averaged in the low 20's for mileage.

This is my first SUV and I don't think I'll ever go back to a regular sedan after being spoiled by being able to see so much better from the higher vantage point. I wanted an SUV that rode and drove like a sedan and had a high degree of reliability and safety. Resale value is also important to me, as well as decent gas mileage. The Honda Pilot delivers on every point and my wife and I both love it.

Most SUV's are a pain to park, not this baby, whips right in there. With 2 kids and summer travel DVD Please! Pack up the kids, CD case full of movies and you won't here a sound! Loads of cargo space for large trips to the store! Cannot express how much my family and I love this vehicle. My company even purchased one for mail runs and office errands! Be aware if you plan on purchasing this car. You will be forced to buy options at a very highly inflated rate (running boards 1k, fog lights $800, bumper garnish $900). I went into 3 dealerships and none of them would move an inch off the msrp. In fact, msrp was untouchable plus they make you purchase 2 or three options and by the time you're done haggling, you will most likely pay $35-36k if you're lucky. Other than that, the car itself is a nice ride overall. The only gripe is that the car is so plain looking.

yeah, it's soft sprung. so what? this is kinda car that you'd take your kids and grand ma out to see grand canyon on a 30hour drive. so softer the better, aight? with that, i don't think anything else can handle the way this truck does. even for a seden, it's quite tight. it's body rolls a bit and it dives somewhat in the corners but that is very very minimal price to pay for that quiet/hushed/cotten-candy ride. joe
