Nicely re-done, Honda
I just bought the Fit last week and haven't even used an entire tank of gas, but thought I'd share my experience so far. I have been driving standard shift cars for years and the last one was the Mazda 2. I'd had enough shifting for one lifetime and despite the bad things I continually read about the CVT, I decided to give it a try. I'm a driver who cares about maximizing mileage rather than performance and I like the CVT. It's very smooth and the paddle shifters still allow me to do engine braking. The Fit has decent power and is able to pull smartly away from stops and up hills - something the little Mazda wasn't always able to do. It corners pretty flat and the ride is comfortable

Fit really fits
We purchased the Fit for a daily driver to save on fuel. Just have over 1000 miles and so far everything is good. We've owned several Hondas and the Fit seems to have the quality of all the others we've owned. 36-38 mpg in mixed driving. Pearl white paint is beautiful. The display does give a read out occasionally telling us that the mode is not available when vehicle is in motion...we'll have to ask the dealer about that one when we take it in for an oil change. Satisfied so far.
You can;t trust the internet
at 41k miles I had to replace the fuel injectors, at a cost of 1700 us dollars, the seats are uncomfortable for a long drive maybe good in the city, but not reliable, I have had fuel injected cars that went over 200K without having to change the injectors plus Honda is charging almost a 1000 for the injector set, not only that but MPG is not as advertised. I am selling this soon as I can.

Unfit Fit. Done with Honda brand.
HVAC issues since I bought it in mid-June 2014. Dealer couldn't fix it after 3 attempts and continued musty, moldy emissions cause severe health symptoms, so I have filed a Lemon Law claim through Honda's arbitrator. Front seats are the worst I've had in a vehicle. Sit in them for at least 40-45 minutes to confirm they work for you. My test drives were too short to make this apparent. The pain kind of sneaks up on you. The positives (which are many) don't outweigh the horrible mold allergy symptoms I've had. American Honda has been unresponsive and the dealer has been barely supportive.
love my Fit
i purchased my fit in October 2014, no problems fantastic mileage. If the front seat bottoms tilted I would have given it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟. I travel a lot and get 49-50 mpg on highway for a combined mpg as of 8/29/15 of 38.9 mpg.

Love my Honda 2015 Fit -- HATE the seats!!!
My Fit has been great, but any trip over an hour and your back and neck are killing you!! I travel a bit and am now in Physical Therapy (probably not only due to the car, but the concave shape of the seats does NOT help). When I asked the dealership what I could do they said they could not help. Also, my boyfriend is 6'1 and can does NOT fit in the FIT without scrunching his legs! I asked if the tracks could be extended and was told no. Get it together Honda, help us!?!?!

Perfect Fit Minus the Front Seats = Deal Breaker
I loved nearly everything about the car--minus one nagging problem. It is the same thing that many others have echoed--the extremely uncomfortable front seats. After owning the car for 6 months, I decided to sell it. I never had back troubles in my entire life until owning this car. I didn't even do any lengthy commuting--I used it mostly around town, for short drives, and I found myself dreading driving the car that I had so wanted. I tried 3 different seat cushions/wedges with little relief. What others have said is correct--a test drive is not enough. I now drive a 2017 Toyota Yaris. I decided to go back to the Toyota after having a Pontiac Vibe (a.k.a. Toyota Matrix) for many years. The Yaris is similar to the Fit in many ways, with the wonderful bonus of being comfortable! Too bad Honda ruined an otherwise great little car with those heinous front seats. I'll stick to Toyota from now on.

STAY AWAY FROM HONDA FOR NOW
Our whole family switched cars to Honda, Civic for sister-in-law, Fit for me, and CRV for parents-in-law all in 2015. 98,000 miles later our Fit transmission failed and we notice there was a recall for a software fix they tried using for the transmission pressure on a metal pulley not to brake or fail. Our VIN was not on there, but it appears to have the same failure everyone else from that recall described (the car stopped accelerating while I was driving- very dangerous and potentially life-threatening). All of our previous cars, we had toyota scion tc, chevy tahoe, masada miata, etc and they all laster well beyond 150,000 miles before being sold (the transmission never failed). Three years with this Honda Fit 2015 and it is dead with a $5000 repair bill from Honda. The CRV and civic have also been recalled for similar issues along with all sorts of other issues. 3 years for a car to fail and other models by the same maker having multiple recalls and an assortment of issues with the dashboard, electronics, and engine are not what we expected. A friend also recently bought a newer civic and has also experienced strange issues with changing gears on the CRVT (he usually has to with to neutral for the car to start or turn off). STAY AWAY FROM HONDA, ESPECIALLY THE FIT

Honda screwed us, took 4 years to find out
The car only has 33,000 miles on it in 5 years. Come to find out the 2015 Fit was built with faulty fuel injectors. Warranty is no good after 3 years. Repair cost will be $1700. Honda retooled owners. this part in 2016 but will not issue a recall and fix for us 2015 owners. Check the internet. So many angry people. Honda needs to do the right thing and repair this for free. I did not break my car! It was sold with faulty parts. I keep my cars forever. I drove a Suzuki Swift for 15 years and when it was on its last legs, I decided to buy a new car. My daughter had just given notice at a Honda dealership so decided to spread some love to her favorite salesperson and buy a car. My wish list was for cup holders and air conditioning. I test drove the fancy one with the sunroof and liked the feel of the car. Then I bought the cheaper one. I don't want to fix fancy electronics when they go out. I splurged on door trim and a cargo liner. There were 2 initial issues: in the first week, the trim on the hatchback broke in half right at the Honda emblem. Then the rubber strip on the driver's side roof separated and began flopping up when driving at speeds above 35. The dealership replaced the trim, but didn't replace the rubber strip. Four years have passed and it still has low mileage as I've only taken two trips, otherwise drive about 3 miles a day. My new issue is: the driver's seat hurts my back. Short trips are fine, but anything over 45 minutes and I'm re-positioning, trying to make the pain go away. I found a chair cushion that I can tie below the headrest to help even out the concave top of the seat. I'm pretty wide, and I don't fit in the seat very well and it presses on my back. The cushion really helps. I'm surprised that not one reviewer mentioned the driver's blind spot on the left of the front window. The slant front window is set in with an A-column that creates a vision barrier that is so large that a mom pushing a stroller and her two teenage daughters crossing in front of me in a sidewalk were completely hidden . As a driving instructor for a large transit agency, I am used to "rocking and rolling" around vision barriers to look for hidden bodies, but I was surprised at how big it is in the FIT, there's nearly a 6 foot blind spot! Driver's beware of this. I love the 6 speed manual, except as others say, 5th and 6th are very similar. I often think I'm in 6th only to look down and see I'm in 5th. I'm considering trading the car in for one that is taller. As time goes on, I think I'll appreciate the ease of sliding in and out of the seat of a taller vehicle. The FIT sits pretty low to the ground. My 5'10" sister and 6'1" friend struggle with leg room in the passenger seat. No one ever complains about leg room in the rear seat. There is a cut little flip out cup holder on the dash to the left of the steering wheel. I love it, but not so much the cup holders in front of the center console. Also, I plug my phone into the USB when I'm driving, but it barely charges. The front wheel drive worked well on moderate snow and ice, I never needed to use chains after snowstorms. I noticed that the pain scratched very easy when I was scraping off ice in the winter. That was something I never had to deal with before.I do have an issue with the tires wearing out already. I thought they should have lasted longer than 25,000 miles. I'll take another reviewers suggestion and buy a different make and model tire. I really struggle to keep the interior of the front window clean. It is almost impossible for me to reach to the bottom. Many people have mentioned that parking is easy, but I find that the wheelbase is odd and the turning radius is not as sharp as almost every other car I've driven. I also struggle to park next to curbs on the street. The rims are flush with the tire and the tire is flush with the car's body and there is no wiggle room. Once I got too close to the curb and scratched the rim. When I trade it in I'll be looking for a taller car, more entertainment features, stronger air conditioning, no huge blind spot, and less road noise at high speeds.

Got Snow? Don't Buy Fit!
Yes the electronics console is fussy and not intuitive. It's way too easy to drive off the road while trying to find things on a tetchy touch screen. It's a lightweight on snow and ice. You'll need to buy studded tires for it. It was stuck at the end of a plowed driveway this winter (upstate ny), on a slight grade which had just been done in my 04 Toyota Corolla. It does get ok gasmileage, tho my Corolla still does better on highways (verified by tracking gas and mileage between fill ups, not going by the manufacturer). I think my biggest beef with this car is the ice build up behind the front wheels. It is soooo low to the ground that slush and ice accumulates over the joint of the front doors. When you open the doors, you have to first knock the chunk of snow off the wheel well, then crack chunk of ice over the joint as you open the door. I have had this 2015 fit since July 2014 and the drivers side door joint is already scratched from the ice. I see rust in its future. As for service, don't ever expect to spend less than two hours at the dealerships even just for an oil change. If there is a service recall, they will not release your car AND they will not tell you they are fixing it till the end. I will not buy another honda mostly because of what I've detailed here. Also, good luck with car seats if you have more than one kid. It works but is TIGHT!

3 weeks into ownership
Reasons I chose the Fit over a few similar cars: large cargo with rear seats that fold flat, large hatch to access that cargo space; super gas mileage; great visibility; zippy maneuverability; adequate acceleration on freeway on ramps; brakes are smooth and good. Why I chose the LX over the EX: pinching pennies and didn't think I really cared about the extras on the EX. Why I wish I had the EX: The LX does have a bumpier ride than the EX I test drove, and now that cold weather is here I am really wishing I had heated seats. Might prove to have been worth the $1.5K extra over the years I plan to keep the car. What I don't like so far: When defroster on, the air tends blow into my eyes! Bad for contact lens wearer or those with dry eye problems. So far, on cold mornings the insides of the windows fog up at first before defroster really gets to work. Haven't had the chance to try the A/C to test the cooling capability. Also, the sun reflects off the big and deep dash back onto the windshield, making the glass seem foggy always and reducing visibility. I also need to slide the seat back for ease of getting in and out -- when adjusted to my preferred driving position, it is a snug squeeze in and out (I am 5'5" and 133# -- not chunky by any means). I had to turn the headrest around because I prefer to sit more upright instead of slouched back, and it forced my head forward into a position that became painful after a longer- than- test drive . How the Fit compares to the Versa that I'd had for the past 9 years: Driver's seat cushioning/design and driving position less comfortable for this person than the Versa, Fit has better design of the cargo space (Versa seatback leaves a 4.5" hump when folded down); My Fit did not come with a cargo space cover, not sure if it is offered as does the Versa; Fit has better gas mileage and feels zippier to drive; Versa feels a bit more solid. Fits for similar age and mileage are more expensive.

Don't buy a Honda Fit
I've been driving honda cars since 1977 -- and the Fit is truly disappointing. The locks on the car doors and the hatchback are now jamming, so we can't open them; the rear shocks are failing; and there is a terrible odor coming from the heater that the dealer won't fix. STAY AWAY FROM THE HONDA FIT.

best car i have ever had
the fit is durable, practical and fun to drive. we have a EX-L that is approaching 100k miles. no repairs have been required at all. just brakes, tires and oil changes. no rust at all in five years of salty sloppy roads in ontario. The cons are it is noisy at speeds over 120kph, and fuel economy is poor above that speed as well. The size of the car is about the same as a early 2000 civic and i love that about it. infotainment system is meh, but until apple car play came out they all did.
Biggest Disappointment
20.Nov.2023 Bought new from Garcia Honda in Albuquerque, NM. Driven by woman with light and careful touch. Husband reviewing. Made for in-town Los Angeles. Fast off the line but not much after 40 mph. Mileage consistently only 22 in town 30 on highway...even in eco-mode with egg under foot. Stiff, rough ride on factory tires. Little legroom in front for 5'9" person. None for rear passengers with front seat all the way back. AC isn't as good as my restored '96 Geo Tracker. Huge blind spots from front windshied supports. Weak headlights. Rear seat fold-down latch broke first year. Paddle shifters completely superfluous. Radio volume control worthless. Front door hinge too close to seat....not enough room for legs. Hard to get in and out of.

Best car EVER
I have had my Fit for a week now and I absolutely love it. I was in the market for a small SUV for future business plans but if I am the only one in the car, there is a ton of room in the back with the seats folded down. The Fit has all of the latest technology (Bluetooth, rearview camera, pandora, etc). So far, my gas mileage has been averaging around 33 miles city. There are only two things I can point out that I don't like about my car. One is the engine noise. Around town, it's louder than your average car but on the highway, it's not much different than any other car. Also, I am not liking the cupholders way down low in the front. A passenger can not put a large drink there.
Still love my Honda Fit
I’ve had my 2015 Honda Fit for over 5 years now. I’ve put about 80,000 miles on it, and I still love it. I thought about upgrading to the Honda SRV for better winter driving, but it’s still in such good shape that I haven’t yet.

not fit for you!
this is a great car if you're a young teenager and this is your first car. however - cons: 1. slow engine, loud engine; really sounds like it's trying to hard at higher speeds (60+) 2. front seat REALLY is uncomfortable for an hour drive 3. the side view camera is not needed in a small car and the video quality for the side view is blurry and not a clear picture. 4. the push start is not needed (for a manual) as you have to press the clutch at the same time 5. the volume control for the touchscreen is not efficient nor is there a mute button 6. resale value IS NOT good. i tried to get a comparable trade one week after i bought this car and was offered $5K LESS! 7. the fuel tank is small and i have to refill twice in a week for going over 315 miles 8. the wipers only have hi, lo, and one setting for intermittent wiping?! pros: 1. best looking wedge shaped car in the industry 2. it's a honda (but really shouldn't be carrying the honda name); we'll see how long this lasts 3. i like the tire rims and that the rear seats fold up creating a unique way to store things

As old school as you can get, these days .... LX
We bought our '15 LX certified pre-owned, warranty was extended, am good with that. Test drove the automatic, was a no-go, as every CVT I've ever driven is......works just fine for a lot of folks, but I don't care for the feel. Figured this just might be my last chance to buy an affordable manual transmission equipped car in the US, given my propensity to keep cars for up to 15 years and the push is on here in the US for autonomous cars.....not my cup of tea. LOVE LOVE LOVE the manual, although, 1st gear and 6th gear are a little short, but......yeah, it turns 4000rpm at 80 mph on the highway, but I can get 42 mpg on the highway (if I DON'T use cruise control......using cruise on a long trip will average about 40 mpg). MUCH bigger on the inside than the outside belies....front passenger room is fine, rear passenger room (2 adults) is better than many much bigger vehicles....and then there's the "magic seats".....amazing amount of hauling capacity if yer not carrying 4 people. While not a sports car, it is loads of fun to drive quickly on twisty country/mountain roads (added a Progress rear anti-sway bar for more fun). The Fit is a great little car for those who want some hauling room but don't wanna buy into the mind-numbing cross-overs. The Fit is (still) go!!!

Great if braking was better
I was surprised the Fit doesn't stop better. If it is loaded with passengers the stopping distance will be even longer. Cargo area is fantastic especially with the Magic seats. Acceleration is fine and shifting is smooth with well matched gearing although I think 5th gear should be higher. Noisy at highway speeds. Responsive steering, great visibility. Mpg is lower than expected. If you don't need as much cargo area, consider the new Civic Hatchback. Better mpg, quieter, way better braking, although no Magic seats.

Almost purrfect
This car has a lot of get up and go even in economy mode, which I keep it in. Gas millage is good and since 2015, I've only had to pay for oil changes and wiper refills. My only con is it doesn't have andriod auto. 2022 update: No problems with car for 8 years..then in June of 2022 the compressor started leaking refrigerant ( a long standing complaint with Honda vehicles) . I had the compressor replaced but still had a refrigerant leak, expansion valve was replaced, still had a refrigerant leak, condenser was replaced (for free) and so far it's working. Honda is known to have defective seals on their condensers and compressors, yet they have not recalled them. This was told to me by a former Honda mechanic when my daughter's Honda CRV had this happen. But it has been 8 years of cold air so I'm not sure if this is the result of defective seals or simply the lifespan of the components. I'm still happy with my car, the gas mileage, and get up and go of the engine. Still I'm hankering for advanced technology so I might trade since the resale value is close to what I paid for the car. Traded the car for a 2019 Honda Fit EX. While I would still recommend the 2015 Honda Fit, safety features on the new vehicles make them a much better fit. My auto insurance went down because of them too. So with Honda no longer making the Fit for America any Japanese compact SUV is going to be my purchase in the future. I may move from Honda though.

Don't waste your money !!!!
Just purchased my Honda 2015 fit EX-L on January 28th, 2016 and already have traded it in, the car two times would not start when hit the ignition button, first time the battery was dead and nothing was left on, the second time would not start again, then 15 minutes later the cars lights were on and the radio was on? Then when hit the ignition button, then the car started! Took it to Honda and since they could not replicate the car not starting, they said everything was ok and until it didn't start again and they couldn't replicate what was going on, all they could do/ offer me was to tell me to use the roadside assistance when it won't start! Not acceptable!!!!! this is a 2015 with 15,000 miles, the dealer was no help, then I called Honda America and got the same response, just call roadside assistance when it won't start! Not acceptable!!!! no one buys a 2015 car, especially a Honda , I bought a Honda due to it's reliability, resale value and dependability, after research on the internet this car has a 12 volt battery and is not enough power to keep all the electronics/technology supplied in the car, do your research before spending your money on this car!!!! There are stories of people leaving music on for 1/2 hour after shutting off the car, or needing to keep hazard lights on and this alone drained the battery to have the battery go dead. No one buys a car that may/may not start and leave you stranded, especially a Honda.

Honda's brand is not worth it
I've owned my 2015 FIT for 4 months. It had a recall, and I also brought up a bluetooth issue sigh Spreen Honda. Here is where the fun begins. The bluetooth has software issues that Honda Corporate passes the buck as well as Spreen Honda. If you want a car where you can transport, its fine; but don't count on Honda to resolve its known issues. Service manager at Spreen (Jim) concurred with me that the HandsFreeLink has issues. Honda Corporate was pulled in as well, and its a merry-go-round of pointing fingers. When I asked why can't I get the software of the Courtsey car, I was given an excuse that made me laugh. Silence of ones knowledge about programming is worth its weight in gold. Amanda from Honda corporate technical support tried to help, but Grace who I initially had contact with transferred me to a department that can do nothing. That's what I call pass the buck. As of the date of this post, I remain in limbo. It's a pity that Honda points fingers, and sells inferior quality. Face it folks, audio is part of what you bought. How sorry I am that I every did business with Honda.

Great car!
This is our 2nd Honda Fit, and we'll probably buy a third. For a car this size, it has a huge cargo area. It's big enough, with the rear seats folded flat, to carry out two Great Danes. Very reliable. Never any mechanical or electrical problems. We live in a rural area, and we consistently get 41mpg. Seats are not comfortable for long trips, however.

Snappy little car
Overall I am so happy with my car, gas mileage is great, it handles so smartly, and I got lucky with the color, it's "berry" ( sort of a deep purple with hints of red ) . I have only one real complaint, the middle console "armrest", is so low that it's rendered useless for resting one's arm on, but I don't do that too often anyway, so no biggy. Was so happy the Kia Soul I thought I wanted had already been sold, so I tried the Fit, love from first drive.

Great Car
I have a 2015 Honda Fit LX with the 6 speed. I wanted something fuel efficient and wanted a manual. I was saving up for a CRZ, but when this new Fit got a direct injection 1.5 engine, I had to go test drive one. The dealer had an LX manual in modern steel, and leased it. I really enjoy this little car. It drives fine around town, but on the highway you need to bring the rpm up a bit to get adequate performance. I would tell you what mileage I'm getting, but I forgot to calculate my mileage at the pump, (was in a hurry) and forgot how many gallons it used. Oops. If you are considering one, I would absolutely recommend one. It does it's job excellently.

My Fit, aka Roadrunner, is a peppy little car. I think of it as a poor person’s Prius! No, it doesn’t make the same mileage but it is a big improvement over my previous car which used premium gas. It is comfortable and I really like it!
