13 months driving the CRV with only one issue
What I like about the 2019 Honda CRV EX. The Auto headlights are great I drive a lot of/rural roads and highways the lights allow me to look out for the local wild life on the roads. The blind side monitors are very nice especially on the highways to avoid those passing tractor trailer trucks. The Blue tooth hands free phone connection is a blessing on the roads since the law doesn't permit the use of cell phones while driving. The lane departure is nice but some times is a distraction. The gas mileage is excellent over all is average 31.5 mpg for the first 900 miles since I have owned it. What I don't like about the CRV. There is no cd player, I have a lot of cds. The acceleration while using the ECON is slower than with out and merging in to traffic is harder. The ride is alittle bumpy. The rug quality on the back of the backseats and cargo area is cheap. I have bought rugs and cargo tray to help protect them. The info screens can be slow in response. I have own a 2001 Honda Accord which lasted for 237,000 miles I hope the CRV comes close. After 13 months and 24542 miles. I had my three oil change averaging about 8900 between oil changes. The overall gas mileage is 33.23 MPG. The only issues I have was all the lights on the dashboard came on after a winter storm while driving. I brought the CRV to Ron Bouchard Honda Store in Lancaster Ma. they realigned the front radar with no cost to me. .Everything else has been great .

Money pit
Nothing but expensive repairs. 2019 EX AWD with 130,000 spent appx $8000 in the past two years. Main bearing leak, master computer module fail, coil packs, cam timing sensors…never ends and I change oil every 5k, trans fluid every 30k, spark plugs every 50k, coolant…

CRV review
Good for fuel economy.
My 2019 Honda CR-V is a lemon!
I purchased a certified pre-owned 2019 Honda CR-V from the Honda dealership in Fairfield, CA, on October 15, 2022. On April 27, 2023, the vehicle broke down due to a major computer failure (ECM/PCM malfunction) and was towed to the Fairfield dealership, where it remained until May 2, 2023. The part was replaced, and the car was returned to me in working condition. However, on June 15, 2024, the exact same issue occurred again. This time, I had the car towed to the Honda dealership in Vallejo, CA, where it sat for approximately 54 days while the part was allegedly on backorder. After researching the California Lemon Law, I contacted Honda Corporate to initiate a buyback, as my vehicle clearly qualifies as a lemon. My case has now been open for nearly a year with no resolution. I continue to receive generic emails stating that my case is "under review," and it is extremely difficult to speak with anyone by phone. When I do get a callback—often several days later—I’m met with the same vague, scripted response. Most recently, on March 31, 2025, my car broke down again with the same recurring issue. It was towed back to the Vallejo dealership, where they cleaned the throttle body, performed some resets, and returned the car to me on April 15, 2025. It’s working—for now. I am beyond frustrated with Honda’s lack of accountability and resolution. I have meticulously maintained my car and have all service records, including documentation of the previous computer-related failures. This situation has had a serious impact on my daily life. I now avoid driving the car unless absolutely necessary, primarily just to and from work. I’ve even missed days at work due to these repeated breakdowns. Long story short: Do not buy a 2019 Honda CR-V. My experience dealing with Honda—from the dealerships to corporate—has been nothing short of a nightmare.

Head gasket and fuel injector issues
Unfortunately Honda isn’t what it used to be with the 1.5 turbo engine, in one month my crv needed a new head gasket which luckily was still under warranty but the fuel injectors were not and Honda Canada wouldn’t cover or even help out even though it’s a known issue that the injectors fail. Hoping I don’t have any other major issues for at least a few years.

Satisfaction.
Great SUV. It handles very well and the gas mileage is great, 32.6. It does not have navigation , which is missed. The CVT tranny was hardly noticed.
the car is still fantastic
i bought this 2019 exl awd in Oct. of 2019 the car has been fantastic. I was worried about the oil dilution problem and was informed they had taken care of the problem in 2018 and yes the infotainment center is something the driver should not mess with while driving and as for me the only thing i don't like and the dip stick it makes it hard to see the oil quantity but i have not had to add oil and or have the oil be higher on the dipstick then the upper line. i did buy a 120000 mile warranty for 1500 to protect myself . and the gas mileage is great we get about 25 around town and the low 30 mpg with our combination driving we have not taken it on a long trip yet to see what the gas mileage will be. we have owned the car for 3 years in oct. 2022 it still gets fantastic gas mileage and has been problem free. the battery did die last year when we got back from Monterey for a few days. i jumped the car and it started but no electronics worked and the car indicated no safety was working either on the way to the dealership. when i asked about my car being in a state of limp mode they said that should have not happened after the car started . but it did

Great vehicle
Gets good gas mileage, super lumbar support. Very dependable, would definitely buy again!
So much value!
I would like to start off in saying I traded a 2016 Honda Civic EX-T sedan for a 2019 CR-V EX. I loved my Civic but initially wanted something bigger and higher off the ground. I test drove the CR-V and fell in love! The familiarity of the Civic is still there with the interior design and controls but it is definitely more refined in terms of design and quality. Granted, my Civic was the first model year and I noticed some squeaks in the interior and misaligned exterior door panels and trunk lid in my Civic but the build quality of this CR-V is more solid. The seats are comfortable and also look like they come out of a vehicle that costs more than it does. I also was surprised at how much more quiet the CR-V is and the chassis going over bumps is smoother. The CR-V isn't a sporty ride compared to the Civic but it is composed and refined for those looking for a comfortable yet composed ride. Some little nitpicks I have are the wood trim in EX and above trim levels as it looks fake and aftermarket. The intermittent rear window wiper could use a variable function or low setting as it wipes too often than I like. I was looking at a Mazda CX-5 for its sporty driving characteristics but was turned off by less interior space and lower gas mileage. I think this CUV is a great value compared to its rivals due to its ride comfort, fuel economy, Honda Sensing Suite, and interior space. I even looked at a Subaru Forester and Toyota RAV4 and the dealers could not match the deals and incentives the CR-V has. The 1.5 liter engine is peppy and refined. The Honda Sensing Suite took me by surprise during a rainy day as a pedestrian ran out in front of me and it braked before I could react. I can honestly say this is worth considering when trying to decide what trim level to buy but Honda makes it standard on all trims starting with the 2020 models which is an even greater value. I am happy with the fuel economy of this vehicle as I'm getting projected numbers 28-30 in combined city and highway. I expect this to improve once winter is over as I've only had the vehicle since January 2020.

Previous CRV owner
After lots of research and 14 years with a fine '05 AWD CRV, we didn't even turn the key in the '19. The Honda stylists trumped the safety people starting about '07 and it has only gotten worse. Specifically, the view out the back side window and rear window is a real step back. I don't want to rely on a backup camera that may be dirty when backing nor do I want a poor view when watching to see someone in the lane to my right. The sad part is that the styling may be trendy but the '05 not only provided a much better view but it looked better too, in the opinion of this truck lover.
Great car
Very peppy and roomy. Love the new electronics
Such 2019 CRV ex turbo issues with turning into a
Anyone have issues when turning into a parking space ? Engine seems like it's going to stall and makes a sound like tires are rubbing ..just had new winter tires put on ..anyone else have this problem or a solution..only 62000km.. already replace Axel's rotars struts, replaced sparks all new brake pads ..paid $40,000 and can't believe this issue is happening ..

Does it all if not a bit loud when pushed
Size and features are excellent. Turbo 4 has plenty of power but is rather loud under acceleration. Nice back seat room. Disappointed the Touring model doesn't give you a heated steering wheel as standard. I could easily do without the moonroof which I never use.

Great Car!
Honda 2019 CRV has been great. Very smooth ride. AC is very strong, and seats fit my children comfortably. Also allows for a better road view being an SUV. Definitely very pleased with my purchase of the 2019 CRV.
Tire problems
purchased this SUV in November 2019 a 2019 model, no previous owners from Auto Nation Honda. Thought I did my research, but we had no idea we were buying a vehicle that requires you to buy brand new tires every other year! The new SUV came with Hancock Tires, they only lasted 10 months and when I expressed my dissatisfaction with the dealership I was told that's normal. NO it's not!! They offered a great discount and we purchased another new set of tires Pirelli tires in December of 2020. Now here we go again June 2022 and I'm being told I need to buy new tires. Why? Why do I need to buy more tires. Are we made of money? Was Auto Nation Honda helpful? NO. Not at all. I will never return to this place! I will NEVER recommend anyone to purchase anything from them and please don't bring your vehicle back to that nightmare they call a service department. Where do I begin, with the lies and deceit or the awful service of the technicians. I was hearing a noise and on my day off, I scheduled an appointment with Auto Nation Honda on 6/17/22. I explained what I was hearing and left my car with them at 8am. At 2:30 pm I had to call them about my car. I then got a oh yeah its ready and our technician said he didn't hear nothing and he didn't see nothing! When I picked up my car they reassured me that nothing was wrong. We left there and I continued to hear the same noise! They have no idea how worried I was about my vehicle, so I scheduled a second opinion with Tameron Honda in Daphne and when I arrived they were super nice and the service manager took the time to look at my car. It took him less than 5 minutes to tell me what is wrong with my car, explain what it means and what I should do. Of course I went back to Auto Nation Honda today 7/1/22 and all I got was the run around. Their only offer is to buy a new set of tires mine are cupping, he says the tread is good, but just buy new ones. No customer service, no one cares. I also ask if it's normal to buy tires every other year, I was told that is how the CRV is. I then asked, is this a manufacturer defect, no was the answer but was is the answer. Why am I stuck buying tires every other year. #PirellitiresSUCK
Great Car
I love my Honda CR-V. It is very comfortable to ride in and the gas mileage is reasonable. Learning the computer system and other tools on the car was a challenge for me.

SUV Heaven
Excellent vehicle-Honda CRV-EXL. Has all the safety and comfort features. Reliable and affordable, and that includes the service. I've worked with 3 Honda dealerships and all practice customer first attitude. Been with Honda since 1986 and that's why!

Only real complaint is interior materials. Light colors are impossible to clean.
No Regrets
I am not car savvy at all. I keep up with my oil changes and required services and I have to say that three years and one month later my vehicle still drives like new. Some people may try to cut corners because they feel like a dealership is more expensive however I feel just the opposite. This is my first new vehicle and my previous vehicles I'd always take them to the Ford dealer. Because I maintained my vehicle at a dealership I was able to get a substantial trade in amount at Checkered Flag Honda when I purchased my CR-V. The Honda dealerships service and repair prices are reasonable and I don't have to worry about shady service or service not being rendered. My vehicle still feels and drives new three years later. I know I got my hands on a Gem when I purchased this Honda and this will never be a trade in. This is definitely a keeper! Besides I want to see how many miles I can get out of this vehicle!
Probably the best SUV
Has all the bells and whistles. Totally unnecessary, hardly ever use half of the extras. One item I do miss is a CD player. Great mileage, a totally reliable vehicle will be in the market for a 2025 next Spring

Don't fall for locating charge of vehicle
So far so good on the car. More road noise than my Highlander but not terrible. My wife let the fever cost her additional money( more than $1000) for the dealer locating the color she wanted. Paducah and Evansville aren't that far apart.
Can't Go Wrong with the CR-V
I tested many SUVs. I got a great price on the Honda. I did not want to test the bugs of the 2019 new RAV-4. I went for a sure thing. It has a super smooth ride. It is plenty big, not small at all. If you are power hungry, you may want to look elsewhere. It is perfect for the driving I do. The info screen is a bit confusing - there are too many things going on. I am old fashioned and I like simple, but today's cars are packed with technology. It is only a week old, so I am still figuring it out. This is my first Honda. I kept my Subaru because I love it too. I just wanted to try something different.

2019 honest review
This is my 3rd CRV they are outstanding in reliability. I let go of a 2009 CRV for this upgraded model. The ‘09 gave me 0 issues, with the exception of normal maintenance such as tires, battery and brake replacement. It never left me stranded, inspections we’re completed with no necessary repairs.

Great vehicle!
So far I am very impressed with all the innovative features on the CR-V. I was driving a minivan before so it takes a little getting used to a smaller vehicle.

Why fabric seats to go 200,000+ miles?
These SUVs are great and have great options. BUT-- what's up with having to spend $30,000+ before you can get leather seats? All claim that you can drive them over 200,000 miles. Fabric seats won't last that long. So why can't you get leather seats? This was a deal-breaker for me.
