Not Really Happy with touring CRV

I owned a 2013 CRV previously. Purchased the 2017 Touring CRV in August 2017. First of all NO CD player--No pocket behind drivers seat-no comfortable arm rests for driver & passenger. Replaced it with a cheap piece of plastic that is annoying. It slides back and forth. Use to have storage area on each side of the middle counsul. Did away with that. I'm sorry I purchased that car. I was told "It has everything" Well needless to say after I got on the road I found it did not have everything. I will choose another make of vehicle next time. I trade every three years. LAST Honda for me. 9/13/2018 Having this car now for a year I've added to this review. Still wish I chose another vehicle. It is now 09/14/2019 I still have the Honda (2017) My review still remains somewhat negative. I have since purchased new tires. Thought the ride might be smoother and firmer but it is not. My daughter has a Toyota Tacoma pick up truck.(2018) That truck rides like a dream compared to my Honda. I will not consider Honda when it comes time for a new vehicle.

I picked up my White diamond Touring AWD last week and I'm loving it!! It drives really well and is very comfortable. It does have a lot of safety features, which can feel overwhelming at first. The only features I'm missing from my previous car is the panoramic moonroof, ventilated seats and when the mirrors would tilt down in reverse.

Honda does it again!

This is my first Honda and also first mid-size SUV. My family has been buying Honda for over 20 years now (2 Pilots, 1 Oddessy, 1 Civic, 1 Accord) and have had 0 issues with any of their cars during this time. In fact, my dads Accord was purchased back in the 80s and he put nearly 300,000 miles on it and never had a single problem. So reliability is never an issue with Honda. I LOVE this this new CRV. I never liked the looks of the older ones and wasn't even going to look at the CRV until they redid the car, which I really like. It looks much more sporty for a family-oriented vehicle. The ride is smooth, the turbo engine is peppy for it's size, and the fuel economy is great. In the 2 weeks I have had the car I have put more 400 miles on the car and I am getting 29.5 MPG, which is great compared to my old car (Hyundai Tiburon GT). I have one two minor gripes. One, the engine can be a bit noisy when sitting still, either parked or when I come to a stop. I have never had a turbo engine before, so this might be normal. It isn't super loud or anything, it just creates a small clicking sound that once I hear I can't stop focusing on. But once I drive it stops, and with ANY music playing you can't hear it. I googled this and it seems to be normal for this new 1.5L turbo engine. My second complaint is that the safety features do not let you sync any phones while driving. While this is great in preventing a driver from syncing a phone via Bluetooth or one of the apps, it also prevents any passengers from doing so as well. Not a big deal, just a bit weird this can't be changed via settings. Overall I am 100% satisfied with my purchase and love my car. I highly recommend it!

After test driving several vehicles in the same class as the CR-V, I chose the CR-V EXL because it has nearly everything or more than its competitors for a much lower price. In terms of fit and finish, the interior of my CR-V EXL is superior than the Kia Sorento or the Chevrolet Equinox. I've owned my CR-V EXL for nearly 3 years now, and am experiencing a couple of serious issues. The first being that I smell raw gasoline in the cabin when I drive it. I don't even live in a cold climate, and yet it still takes 10 minutes for the car to adequately warm up. The second issue is that the touchscreen in the middle of the dash will randomly start resetting its brightness settings nonstop. The problem has gotten so annoying that I'm considering turning the car in at the end of the lease and walking away from Honda altogether.

This is our third Honda CRV. The newly designed 2017 Honda CRV is more spacious, luxurious, quiet and comfortable. The 2017 CRV feels and drives like am Acura, Lexus or BMW. Our model - one level below the top of the line "Touring" is beautifully built - heated leather seats, custom dual heat/AC controls, outstanding stereo system, and lots of new safety features - including lane warning. One of the neatest new features is the new intelligent cruise control system which automatically adjusts if the car in front of you slows down. We also looked at the Subaru version - and found it was smaller, noisier, and much less luxurious. From all of our research, Honda also had the highest reliability and best resale value.
