I love my Hatchback Sport Manual
Update 3 year, 70k miles. Very impressed for many reasons, and enjoy the hatchback option. 1) Perfect Reliability. Feels as solid and Day 1. No rattles, Just oil changes done. 2) I am still impressed how this car handles. No body roll, handles great even with bad tires. With great tires it would be a charm. 3) High resale value 4) Gas mileage avg around 32mpg with mixed driving. City only 28mpg . Mostly highway 35, only highway on trips, I see 40mpg. Amazing! Cons. 1) Very noisy due to little sound insulation, if any. People have trouble understanding me on Bluetooth due to Wind Noise. 2) Radio is very basic. Not loud at all. Sounds like an upgrade to my Amazon Echo. 3) AC is not the coldest. I still love this car. Highly Recommend It! I still like the looks of it, even though it doesn’t look like a Bankers car, it looks more like a college girl’s. Very impressive car! I have had cars that triple the price and I am impressed! It feels relatively quick, stable around corners, great steering 90 mph on the highway is rock solid. It is really a Fun car! Years back I read something true. It is funner to drive a slow car fast, rather than a fast car slow. Negatives 1)The mirrors create alot of wind noise at speed. 2)The plastic handles to close the trunk are really plastic and delicate. 3) 1st gear is extremely short.

the best civic yet
this is the best civic i have owned ,and being i have had 4 others i do have a base to go by. with out a doubt this is the most pleasing to drive. its quiet , stable ,quicker than expected , even with the cvt trans....the seats are a little firm ,and a knob for volume and fan would be nice , other than that it is a perfect commuter , i drive 60miles a day to work ,half city ,half hwy. , i get an average mpg of 34. even with 80 mph on the hwy. and 30+ red lights in town....all being said ,there is room in the boot for odd and ends , i am 6ft and can sit up in the seat with out rubbing the roof ,that cant be said for the other 4 UPDATE its now 2022 and i traded my for a crv .....nothing wrong with the civic and it did what a good car is supposed to do. it ran great , i have nothing bad to say about the car. i put 78,000 miles on it and it drove like new when i traded it in .it was one of only three cars that i have had that i will miss out of 20 or so

Sweet sassy ride/ electronics disappointing
Great car love the hatchback electronics/technology need some work. No volume knob - I believe is fixed in 2018's stereo volume seems to randomly change - lost all my presets last night and have never disconnected the battery. Climate fan control should also be a knob and not electronic. Apple Car Play cool - need USB charger for rear passengers Overall love the car: my updated review has to lower my initial review due to the electronics. More is not always better: randomly lose all my presets: Apple Car Play not yet perfected and if electronics goes out and needs to be rebooted you lose access to your climate controls since they are all electronic also: love the ride but frustrated with the electronics

Euro styling & performance
The Civic Hatch is a great option if you want good fuel economy, power, eye-catching styling, and the versatility of an SUV in a compact package. My EX-L w/nav averages 39 mpg and has plenty of power. My only complaint, after owning several SUVs, is getting in and out of it isn't as easy, but if you're used to a car, it isn't an issue. The interior quality is excellent--great finishes, but I would recommend either getting the leather (EX-L) or getting an after-market kit with leather for the door inserts and the center console; the EX I test drove was already showing smudges on the cloth in those areas. I think the cloth seats would hold up fine, though. The leather package is the same as the CR-V Touring package and looks great. Interior ride is quiet and comfortable. The car handles great and is fun to drive.

Wife got a ticket!
My wife came home from the airport on our country road zipping along at 77 in a 55. She admitted she was having too much fun driving this car. The cop told her it took a while to catch up with her. This car is just zippy and accelerates around town like a gem. Such a pleasure to drive and tool around in. Cannot say enough about how fun honda made this car to drive. 35mpg mixed driving. Sport mode in the CVT is a fantastic feature. This car is a total blast. Can't give it a perfect review cuz the radio controls are touch screen which is a major hazard. Also, gotta plug your phone in twice almost everytime to get carplay to connect. Bizarre. Car continues to be a gem. 4th year in at 50k miles. No issues.
