Transmission Control Module
When I had owned this car for about 90 days when I was leaving TopGolf the dashboard warning lights were all flashing and then the car transmission had locked and I could not put my car into drive. I had to tow it to the dealership where I bought it and they reviewed the car and found the TCM had been disconnected so they reconnected it and I went about my day. Then the error occurred again during a move and drive down to Florida. When we stopped to fill up and I turned on the car the issue happened again. The part apparently needed to be completely replaced because the pins meant to keep the TCM connected had been faulty. Please be aware of this and HONDA please place a recall/replacement on this issue. Several other people I know have had this same issue on brand new Civics. Being stranded and in need of a tow is dangerous and frustrating. PLEASE RESOLVE THIS ISSUE!!!!!

Great Car!
This impressed me how it handles road. We bought it for our daughter, so safety was number 1. Also, We love that she plugs in her phone and cannot text while driving. Plenty of trunk space & the seats fold down in the back for transporting more items. We know that she’ll have a reliable car for a long time!

This is a not a thirsty but very zippy car!
I've had a my Civic Touring for 3 years. I bought her slightly used (1,400 miles) and have been very happy with her. For a single person this is everything I have needed in a car. It has all the modern conveniences and safety features I desired. I added window tint, wheel locks as I park outside, and rubber floor mats. It has been on a few road trips and I find it very comfortable either on the highway or in the city. Very easy to park and the turning radius is very small. Rarely have I used the turbo except to accelerate to get on the interstate a few times and I never notice any lag. I do miss a volume knob on the radio but have become used to using the slider on the steering wheel with my thumb. Sometimes on the highway if you don't have the music on you can notice the road noise a bit but it isn't extremely loud for a car this size. I don't use the navigation system that came on the car but I do use Android Auto w/Waze and it works great. This is my 5th Honda auto plus I had a Honda motorcycle.

Not reliable model
I owned a 2016 honda civic for 2 years, I bought from my friend with only 20000 km and 2 years old. Still on warranty. The car looks nice, the interior looks great, and handle very nice but the cvt transmission is very unpleasant to drive and makes the car sound very boring, it also makes hard to keep a constant speed cause the sound is the same, or you go too fast or too slow so you're always looking at the speedometer (this car was my first cvt transmission). I had a lot of reliability issues with this car so I got rid of it as soon as I could. The AC broke each of the 2 summers I had the car in the middle of the hottest day stuck in dense traffic (was covered by the warranty, they told me the AC warranty was extended to 10 years...provably cause they know it will break soon again), the info entertainment sistem was annoyingly slow and its screen keeps blinking many times, the bluetooth fails constantly, the phone connection fails also, the heat take way too long to warm the car, the ac also extremely slow to cool the car, the windshield is almost always covered in fog in winter so you are always driving with the front defogger on using AC (I owned many cars and never get as fogged as these one), the car is low it touch the road surface easily, the trunk has all those cables connections to the speakers exposed on the top and a lot more of unpleasant things I could mention. I also had more serious problems than those: the transmission was doing a weird annoying vibrating sound after parking and turning on the car again during at least 1 minute (honda said it was normal and fine....) and also oil liking slowly trough the engine seal, you can see it around the seal (honda also said it was normal...) I brought to a mechanic I trust and he said it was the engine gasket he said was fine for now but that I would have to repair it maybe in 1 or 2 years..... I got rid of the car with only 40000 km, I didn't sell to anyone I know. It was my first honda and probably the last one for me. I hope my opinion can help someone thinking on buying these 2016 honda civic model.

Good car for the money...but still need to work out a few kinks
Hot and beautiful high performance Civic
Fuel economy is less than 30 combined mpg. Radio volume control is annoying. Fast for turbo!
