Once you go Honda you never go back!
If you want a totally reliable car Honda is your maker! I've driven Chevy's, Pontiac's, Ford's, & Chrysler's and all of them are good in the beginning but after 50,000 miles or so they all start to have problem after problem. Who needs the inconvenience of having to take time off of work to drop your car off at the dealership and figure out other transportation while it's in the shop. I am currently on my 3rd Honda and if you do the scheduled maintenance they last forever or until you just get tired of the same car and want something new! My first Honda was a 1996 Civic and after I was tired of it I gave it to a friend who drove it and then handed it down to not one but two of her sons and they drove it forever! It had over 300,000 miles on it! My first Accord 2005, had over 200,000 miles on it before we traded it in. My current 2010 has 136,000 and I'm thinking about trading it in on a new CRV in the fall. So as you can see I'm a Honda girl and probably always will be. :)

My best friend in high school
This is the best car I have ever owned hands down. It’s a tough 4 cylinder rocket that puts all of its might into getting this big family car up to speed, it’s a blast to drive. This is the most reliable, safe, and fun daily you can buy for under 10,000. The steering is tight and heavy with little to no body roll in corners for a little bit of fun within the limits if you were anything like the high schooler I was when I got this vehicle. My only complaint about this car is the transmission. I remember trying to pass slow drivers on country roads and putting my foot to the floor turning 5000 rpm and not advancing much. This transmission could really use a 6th gear. On the interstate you’re turning about 2100 rpm at 75 so good luck getting 40 mpg highway. At about 100,000 miles I also experienced a stutter between 1st and 2nd when accelerating gently when the engine was cold. Don’t let this deter you from this car. The transmission is a tank until to this day and there is really no stopping this car. This car will probably outlast me it has spent it’s entire life in Western New York and the rust is minimal which shows it’s material quality. You could always buy a Corolla or a Camry and those will also last forever but the ride quality and comfort is just a notch above in the Accord. This car is solid and tough with a little bit of fun. Change the oil and this car will be good to you. Buy this car.

VCM problems
@ 40,000 car had fouled spark plugs from oil leak, got software update, then again burned too much oil fouled spark plugs and needed new small engine block @ 70,000. Honda paid for this after class action lawsuit. Now @ 105,000 the catalytic converter gone, I am told converters usually last the life of car unless fouled by oil. Honda won't take any responsibility for it. They have sold me my last Honda.
