Great car, lots of room, great pickup & gas mileage. we have discovered a metallic pinging noise in the engine as you accellerate through 2nd gear. We have tried different gas stations & octane levels. Engine continues to ping.

Love it! This WAS my first Honda. My wife and I commute 50 miles one way to work and have already racked up 20000 miles since May 2005. Best handling car I've driven in the snow and ice. We are so happy with the Accord we bought two used Hondas since this purchase. A 97 Hatchback Civic for my 16 yr old daughter and a 91 Prelude for myself. Both have 100K on the odometer and run great. I'M SOLD!!!!!!!!

I am very pleased with my purchase of the 2005 Honda Accord. In my vehicle search, Honda was not my first my choice. I was in desperate need of a vehicle, and needed something I could rely on. I don't consider myself a basic person, but in my mind, that is what Honda represented. Boy! was I wrong. I was really impressed with the features and the style of the vehicle. The navigation system has helped me find my way on numerous occasions (a must if you can). I love the satellite radio, and I never listen to local stations anymore. My Accord has handled really well in the snow, when other more expensive cars have failed. All that I can say is that this is a purchase that I am glad I made.

This car is a great buy. I am not too impressed with the Accords body style however when you buy a Honda you buy it for the reliability and that is what this car is reliable. It's unfortunate that GM & Ford are shutting down plants but maybe they could learn a thing or two from the engineers at Honda.

In today's world of 80+ speeds, I am a little less than enthusiastic about the gas mileage I got from this seemingly-stingy Accord. But coupled with the 5 speed manual, the car proves fun to drive, reliable as the day is long and sporty in a sensible, Honda-esque manor. When looking at this car, be sure to think about the V6 as the 4 cylinder does power the car well, but it's a full-size sedan, and those extra ponies can sure help move the car. Otherwise, a great all-around driver.

Very comfortable around Phoenix but a true delight on the highway and up in the mountains. The indicators for the electric usage and optimum driving conditions work clearly. Roomy and quiet for long trips. Trunk space is adequate, even though the battery cuts down on available depth. No problems in the first 20,000 miles.

This is my third Accord and the third Accord I love. I gave up the last one with 194,000 miles and it now has over 250,000. After a brief stint with a '94 Acura, I'm back with the Accord and it's a wonderful car to drive. It's very comfortable and the heated seats are great this time of year. Driving up a mountain was easy the one time I did. The car has very good road manners and the steering is much better than I thought.

My Honda has wonderful performance and power to pass the slowpokes but I have to say I am somewhat disappointed in the gas mileage I get in city driving. I average about 22mpg in the city and I do mostly city driving.I suppose for a V-6 that is pretty good but I was hoping to get closer to 25mpg in the city. The main thing was getting used to the brakes, they are quite sensitive to the slightest touch. The other thing is when you pull into the garage and are trying to coast in, the engine sometimes shuts off on you and you have to come up on the brake to get all the way in without stopping short.Other than that it is luxury plus! My friends are jealous!

Looks really dressed up after the purchase of 17 inch wheels to get rid of factory wheel covers, tinted windows, and spoiler added. To be a 4cyl automatic, car doesn't do bad in the city, real well on highway, very stable at above posted speed limits. No complaints from this car, only reg maintenance, oil changes etc, no problems, avg 25 city, have gotten 36 on highway.

Excellent vehicle for the price no returns to dealer for repairs after 1 year of ownership. Highly recommended for a midsize sedan. Too many buttons which are clustered together and distracting for the driver to use. Excellent performance from the 4cyl. version no need for the larger V-6. As expected Honda continues to improve there product instead of changes for the sake of change. Over all I highly recommend the Accord for value and retention of resale value.

I owned the 2005 Accord EX-L 2.4L 4cyl for exactly two years. Then I took a direct hit in the driver's door from an SUV going 40-50+ mph - and walked away on a cane three days later! Not many sedan car owners can say that!! I have only 2 hairline fractures in my pelvis, which should heal in 6 to 12 weeks. I'm definitely buying another Accord. I also had this vehicle on three New England trips of 3,000 to 5,000 miles each. Very comfortable ride, easy handling. The leather and dual climate controls preempted those temp-related spousal fights so it's worth the extra $1,000 in price.

Purchased in March of 2005, car has been reliable and fun to drive 80 miles each day for work. Gas mileage has been pretty good although the AC does zap mileage more than any other car I've had. Seats are comfortable for short and long drives. Those reviewers who state otherwise haven't adjusted the seats correctly. Back seat leg room is very good for the size of the car.

I am a mom of two small children. This is a great car for gas mileage, hauling my kids to birthday parties, etc. and I have been a Honda owner since 1994 so I am a firm believer in Hondas. They have never let me down, been very dependable, almost NO maintance at all. But this car has a 4 cylinder engine and it is not a very "fun" car to drive. But it is a great car and we have had no trouble with it at all. Highly recommend.

I've never owned a Honda before this. My previous cars were all fast, fun and sporty. When my last car began having serious problems, I decided to take a look at the Accord. The 4 cylinder model isn't a road racer, but I've found that this car as a whole is one of the finest overall I have ever driven. Agile, light, and confortable, my problem free Accord has been nothing short of trustworthy, fun, frugal, and perfect. Would I like a big horsepower car? Sure. Would I give up my Accord in a Chicago winter? Nope. I'm keeping mine for a long time. This will eventually become my winter car that I will use to supplement the sports car. Even still, my Accord drives great and is perfect.

From a family of John Deere and Chevrolet people, it was a breach of etiquette for me to buy a Japanese car. After three years, this is one of the best products I have ever bought...not just the best car. You normally expect some problems with a car like losing pickup, chipped paint, lose a water pump, brakes go early, something...I guess I am just used to what Chevrolet is putting out. My Accord however, has been perfect. The gas mileage is not great, but for a performing V-6 the mileage is just fine. For better mileage get the V-4, but on teh tollway I need the V-6 acceleration.

I purchased my Honda Accord because I know Honda has a good name, but I am disappointed with the overall performance. Perhaps I should have gotten a V6, because you have to "gun" the car to get it to go and the tachometer is well over 2,000 rpms even at lower speeds, like 50 mph. The Camry is probably a better choice, provides a much smoother ride and better acceleration.

I've always been a big fan of Acura tl's but since U.S. economy sucks lately, I had to downgrade (or so I thought). I bought an 05 Accord ex with everything, from tire pressure sensors, to heated seats, XM and navi. Features that I never had on my 2000 rl. Gas mileage is great, handing is awesome. Styling is just as good as Acuras. Speed is ok, but for the price? You just cant beat it! Oh did I mention 100k warranty? From burnt light bulb to blown engine, they cover it at no cost. Buy one!

I really did like this car. I loved the styling, the luxury appointments, the smooth and responsive feel from the 4 cylinder, the roominess and the sensible layout of the dash. What I didn’t like was the gas mileage. No matter how easily or lightly I drove it, the mileage never got above 25 mpg on the highway. This is an engine known for its reliability (check), smooth and powerful performance (check), and longevity (check). My dad had a 2004 Honda Element with the exact same engine and it got the same mileage. My Accord should’ve been getting in the 30’s on the highway. I tried using higher grade fuel, got a fuel system cleaning, but nothing worked. I also thought the leather seats should’ve been a little softer. After a long trip, my tailbone would be hurting. I asked other Accord owners what they thought of theirs and they loved them. Like I said, my only gripes were firm seats and gas mileage. Other than that it was one of my favorite cars. I followed that one up with a 2006 Civic EX that was wonderful.

There is a hole in my heart parting with this car! (EX-L with the four.) 350,000 miles and lots left, except the advancing rust, broken cruise cable and A/C, plus the prospect of a new catalytic converter very soon makes it necessary to drive it to a charity. I have taken it EVERYWHERE. 48 states and all ten provinces in 16 years. It's been a wonderful place to spend a lot of time. I will miss it more than you know in my new CR-V.

This car is just okay. My Toyota Sienna had better & more features, but I no longer needed a van. The worst thing about this V6 Accord is the acceleration. When I press on the gas, I expect a car to go. But just when I need to accelerate to get into a tight spot on the freeway and I "punch it", it hesitates. That hesitation has caused many near misses.

This was my first import car, and I was not impressed at all. The reliability for the car is great, but small annoying things always go wrong. The driver seat started squeaking and making noises at 38000 miles and no dealership would help me unless I would buy a new $1200 seat. The interior makes bad noises over all the bumps and the I4 engine seems underpowered and noisy. The radio has static everywhere and the speakers are already blown out and I never turned the radio up past half way. The dealership also said this was normal. If you get a Honda, at least don't service one at a Honda dealership.

From experience, brakes with tranny and ABS on this car make something hard to control. For example, when I drive at 60 mph and need to slow down to 20 mph fast, I press brakes moderately and feel tranny first gear down and RPMs go up, then it suddently drop the RPMs and feel like stalling out for a fraction of a sec, becoming really shaky, while gas pedal feel solid and hard to move. Then I press the gas pedal slowly for 1 sec, the tranny switches the gear up very rough, and after I release it, gets even worse, creating a clattery vibration in the cockpit. It seems that tranny confused which way to shift, and keep on clattering back and forth until I go faster.

I bought used with 38,000 miles. Put on 08 Accord wheels and tires and K&N filter. 4 cyl/auto has power to spare and gets great MPG. I have read some of the reviews about power/mpg on the 4 cyl and wonder what car they are driving!!! I am 60 years old and have owned Vetts and GTO's etc etc. While not comparing the Accord with either of these types of vehicles, I will say that for a 4 cyl auto this car is remarkable! So, in my opinion, you can not go wrong with this car.

Bought the car on December, 2004. The ride was very comfortable. I like the design of the car for a great price. Gas mileage is ok, definitely cannot go up to 26 mi/gal city for a 5-speed manual as advertised. I've been getting 20 mi/gal in the city for my Accord. The engine is quiet, but the i am not sure if the squeeking noice comes from the dashboard or the windsheild. I am kinda bordered by the noice while I am driving. Handling is ok, but not as good as the previous version. The interior is very roomy. Feel good while I am sitting in it. Overall, the car is ok, but not impressive. But for this price, this is what I am getting I guess. Otherwise, why not go for a lexus.

Have gotten up to 42.7 miles per gallon when I was on a trip and not in a hurry. It handles well. Navigation System is outstanding. Leather holding up well to normal use. Wish they would reinstate U.S. availability of a matching telephone connection for hands free operation through the speakers and microphone that are in the car. Literature shows that this used to be available for Motorola and several other phone brands, but Honda of America has taken this feature away from the U.S. buyer. I understand it can still be had in Japan though. Otherwise, I love this car and will buy another for my wife, who also finds the ride and handling to be just what she likes.

I bought this car last year for my wife after she was in an accident in her Honda Civic. I knew she loves Honda's and Honda has a reputation of having safe, reliable, fuel efficient, and fun- to-drive vehicles. So, we purchased a fully-loaded v6 and regrettably, I wished I went with my first instinct and got something else. This car has been in the shop so far 4 times and now the check engine light comes on. I have not been impressed with the mpg either. Avg city/highway is 20 mpg. There are plenty of better vehicles out there so don't waste your money on this one. If you have low back problems, this car will hurt your back on long trips. Very uncomfortable.

This car is well maintained and serviced. The only exterior problem is there are a few scratches on the passenger side bumper and it will need a new headliner. This car has served me well for 15 years. I am only selling it because I am interested in buying a new car.
