Was very impressed with the power for the 240hp engine and the ride is Honda. Gas mileage is good and after owning a 330 Beamer this car is alomost as good. FWD has some steering torque but nav system is great.

With a daughter in college, my family needed dependable, economical transportation. I considered the Camry, Mazda6, and the Accord, and chose the Accord. No regrets! It is a much better car than I had anticipated. Excellent economy, good performance, good sound system. Handles well and very comfortable. I knew that Honda made good products, but did not anticipate the Accord being this good.

Own an '02 Accord which is an outstanding car. Just bought and '05 for my wife and am very impressed on Honda's improvements to an outstanding '02 design. I'm a hard grader not believing something can get all "10's" but this car is outstanding. Bigger and quieter engine, better mileage, very comfortable interior, repositioning of gauges and displays which shows they are continually listening to customers driver comments. The XM radio is an outstanding feature. Can't say enough good things about this car. Looked at many competitiors vehicles as we wanted the best value for our money and a car we can continually rely on. This is it. Check out the '05, you'll be impressed.

I have owned many cars and just turned in my Nissan SER off of lease. I also own a Mini Cooper S. Planned on another Nissan but drove the Accord for comparison. The Honda's refinement, room, and economy won me over. Plenty of room for 4 large adults. Fuel mileage (More than one half highway) has never dipped below 30 mpg. The 160 horse 4 cyl with the 5 speed is very smooth and peppy enough for most situations. The leather interior is high quality and everything is well thought out. A large friend spent 2 hours in the back seat on a recent trip and commented that he is going to seriously consider this car to replace his old Camry. He is interested in a new TL but not at $10K more $.

The #1 rated family sedan by Car and Driver lives up to its reputation. I chose this over a toyota Corolla and Camry; fortunately for me I did. The standard safety features of 8 airbags and ABS helps drive insurance costs down while protecting you and your passengers. It averages 30+ mpg on the highway, even when going faster than 75. Performance is great, as it has more than enough power to get up and go when you need it. The styling of the 2005 is a step up from the 03-04 models (all red tail lights now) although I still prefer the coupe model (but insurance costs more). For a car under $20k this is the absolute best choice.

After looking and test driving the Accord competitors like Altima, SOnato and others. We liked the Accord compared to others in all aspects. Interior color, design, outside color and shape. Good cabin compact and fun drive. It has got some improvements like fog lights, optional shifter etc., to do comapring to PASSAT. But I hope it will be trouble free car than PASSAT. We liked the Graphite Pearl Color. Its has nice look into it.I will surely recommend to others..

I love my Accord, it is comfortable and has the power I want. I felt safe on snowy roads, it is an easy driving car. I have a ittle problem with the feel of the brakes at times. I can't put my finger on it, maybe "spongy" is the best way to describe how they feel sometimes. I hope that this not a problem with the brakes. I am enjoying my Accord, both driving it and looking at it!

This is a safe, reliable and ergonomically superb automobile. The styling isa bit vague, certainly not as aggressive as Mazda6 or Altima, however this isn't a sports car, it's a family sedan meant to transport a family in style and that is exactly what it does.

I bought this car last weekend and haven't regreted buying it. I was impressed by the acceleration in the V6. Gas mileage is good for a V6. All the climate controls and radio buttons and knobs are within easy reach. It's obvious that the person who rated this car 3.3 works for a competitor, because this car doesn't deserve 3.3. Thank you Honda for continuing to build great cars.

My only complaint is the feel of every tar strip and bump as a thud not a good ride. Our traded in car, a 2002 Accord EX 6, was a dream road feel compared to this '05 model! If only Honda could keep the handling and have a softer road bump transmission to the passengers we would be 100% behind this car. If this doesn't bother you, go for it. This car is a bargin and fun to drive. It's only that the wife hates the thuds.

I have owned other Honda's before and had very good service and resale value. The new 2005 Accord is fully loaded and a good value for your money. While I tested over six other brands, I still came out better all around purchasing the Honda. This car (in my book) rides great, has clean design, good gas mileage, good performance and fine quality. A Honda is a Honda.

Lots of pep under 50 mph, but 4 banger accelerates slowly at higher speeds. Feel every crack/bump in the road due to harsh suspension. Too much wind noise, and sunroof makes a buzzing sound when going over 40 mph on rough surfaces. Seats are a little uncomfortable for a 250 lb. heavyweight. Averaging 33 mpg.

Ive only had the car for a couple weeks now, but have come up with some initial impressions. Pros include a quiet engine, nice exterior stying, and nice layout of controls. Cons include the following, the car is not smooth riding, you feel each bump, windshield rattles, and seats are uncomfortable. As the previous owner of a 2003 Camry the Toyota is far superior in ride and comfort.

I have purchased a 2004 Accord EX V6 also and based on my satisfaction with the '04 decided that for the money the '05, which I bought for my wife, was the best choice over all its competitors. From a reliability and resale point of view this car has no comparison. I have been a loyal Honda/Acura driver for many years. After looking at the competition it's hard to be convinced there's a better choice. Smooth quiet ride at all speeds. Cruises effortlessly at 80 MPH.

This is a great vehicle. Honda did there homework with this car and let me tell you it lacks in no areas. This is a luxury vechicle all the way around. Honda even thought of having the steering wheel controls light up. The car rides great and just feels very refined. I've owned alot of vehicles in my life and none had the whole package like this car does. Do yourself a favor and test drive this car before you buy anything else. I was blown away by just everything about this car.

This is an outstanding car. After research, it looked like the maximum bang for my buck. I have not been disappointed. I added an alarm sysyem for security and auto door locks when car put into gear. Dealership experience great. Another hint for those used to auto headlights or daytime running lamps is to leave lights on with EX. The auto off will turn off lights after 10 or 15 seconds. The car drives great with good power and outstanding fit and finish. You cannot go wrong with this car!!

The Honda Accord is a blast to drive, and gets reasonable, if not great, mileage. Cost to own will be in line with Honda's of the past. Honda stands behind their cars, but I did NOT expect to find any Honda that had problems direct from the factory. My car had major window seal leaks, and water in the car after the first rain. The dealership promptly fixed, but left an indelible impression on my opinion of their manufacturing process, which in my previous 3 Accords and 1 Civic were NEVER at issue. We'll see. Overall, an excellent car, and I hope to be able to write a different opinion as this car ages a bit. Jim, in Shawnee, KS

I love my 2005 Honda Accord. I had the 2003 2 door Accord V-6 and then the 2004 door Accord V-6 and loved driving them all...The price is affordable for the standard features found on the EX- V6 and the quality of my Accords has been great!! With a few added extras (tinted windows etc) it is really a sharp car and is always fun to drive...

This is my second Accord. First was a 2001 that had no problems (except a sqeaky brake pedal). This '05 has reduced wind noise, a smoother ride, and excellent safety ratings. My gas mileage has also improved. I get 28- 30 of mixed city/highway driving. Interior is excellent. I'm not crazy about the exterior styling, but it is growing on me. The added spoiler improves its looks.

I bought this car specifically for the interior. It is spectacular! Overall this is the best purchase I have ever made. A few quirky things to pay attention to before buying: 1. The navigation system is semi-complicated and cumbersome - It integrates the Audio controls and the A/C. 2. With the automatic transmission, there is a slight lag when you put the pedal to the floor and try to accelerate. 3. No 60/40 fold down rear seats. The back seats fold completely down, OR you can just fold the armrest down and put long things in from the trunk (works well for skis). 4. The sunroof controls are to the left of the steering wheel. Overall, I would highly recommend this car.

As a diehard GM customer my whole life, it took alot of convincing to purchase my first Honda. But the price and reputation could not be ignored. I regret waiting so long before I made this first purchase. This car is incredible. It's V6 acceleration is unbelieveable for a mid-size sedan. I love the handling and the support the seats give my back. Since it's a Honda, I don't ever expect to be back to the dealer for warranty work. By this time, any new GM car I owned would have been back to the dealer at least two times. My next car/van will be a Honda.

I retired my 1993 Accord with over 400,000 miles on it, (head gasket blown), and went with this v6. I travel 70% highway 70 mph ( I am not gunning it ever) and getting 27 mpg. A recent hwy trip 34 mpg at 70 mph. It gets better gas mileage than my 4cly 93! Go figure? Great power when needed. No problems yet, 66,000 miles on the car. Leather is very comfortable, radio 6-cd great!

It has great pick-up and cruises extremely well on the open road. This has gotten excellent gas mileage. I get about 25 to 27 on all around driving and 31 to 34 on open road driving. The Navigation system has been helpful at times. However, it would be nice if it could yield routes other than the interstate. Seats are very comfortable- love the seat warmers. This is our 3rd Accord LX 4 cylinder (See similar reviews under 97 Accord and 2000 Accord Runs Foverer). 97' LX model has 209000 miles & still going strong with no major repairs, 2000 LX model has 73000 miles with no repairs. The new 2005 model finds an excellent middle ground between the 97', which runs and feels like a sports coupe / 2+2, and the 2000 which drives and feels more like a traditional 'family' sedan. I switched from Toyota after blowing the head gaskets in our 92' 3.0 liter V6 engine twice (@ 85K and 140K miles) due to an engine design defect which necessitated a complete engine rebuild. No more toyota's for this driver.

The car is an excellent choice for a modern, well appointed sedan. The styling is OK and it grows on you in time. The interior is the best quality of the car. The performance is more than adequate with the 5 speed auto trans. The included features make one wonder "why would I buy a BMW". Reliability will have to be determined however there are no initial problems after two months of operation. Fuel mileage is high twenties with the daily commute of mostly highway driving. One concern is engine clatter for the first couple of miles when the engine is cold, which the Dealer states is normal.

Replacing a 2003 A4. I looked at the Mazda 3 with nav, and the Mazda 6. I also looked at another A4. This car car an exquisite ride, and excellent on center feel for the steering, although a little too much lean, and too many minute corrections required on sweeping turns (compared to the Audi). The dash is simply the best looking I have seen, the leather is nice and soft. You can't lower the seats as much as I would have liked. The stereo is quite good until you get past half of max volume, and then there is distortion. They missed the boat on exterior styling, but if you add a rear lip spoiler, it helps a lot. I will also add at least 17" wheels. All together an impressive car.

This is an outstanding vehicle! After doing the research, it was apparent to me that this car gives the maximum bang for your hard earned dollar. It has features you would not expect for a vehicle which costed under $29,000 (including destination, taxes and all). I added an alarm system for security and auto door locking feature when placed in gear. Great dealership experience. Another tip for those who might want daytime running lamps or auto on headlights is to keep your lights on all of the time. The auto off feature in the EX model will turn off the headlights after 5 or 10 seconds. The car has great power (240hp) and fit and finish. The Honda Nav system is second to none.

I have owned many Hondas over the years. I still can find a vehicle that beats them for the price. Fit and finish inside and out beats all the competition. Switching from a 2000 Trans Am to an Accord, I thought would be a hard change. But I don’t miss the rattles and road sounds I used to get out of the Pontiac. Going from a 305hp engine to a 160hp was not bad at all. The Accord it quick and gets out of its own way. Just a note it is a lot easier to get my two year old in car seat in the Honda. But when I bought the Pontiac I was in a different situation.

The inside of the car is flawless, lots of leg room, the material used for the interior is sure a lot better then on Altima & Camry interior. The dealer gave me a price I could not walk away. I have the Accord for over two months...no problems no regrets.

I got my accord dx a few months ago and have put on about 7000 miles. I have had no problems, and find the car to be great fo long distances. It is comfortable and roomy.

This car has more performance and mpg than I thought possible. It really gets 37 mpg highway and 29 city and is the most responsive car I have ever driven. However I only have 3000 miles on it so all the complication necessary to get mileage and performance may yet bite me.

I hesitated in trading in my 2001 Impala LS instead of buying the 2005 LS since I was unwilling to part with the room and features of the Impala. The Accord provides ample room for my family, has all the features of the Impala LS except OnStar, (never used) driver information center, (mileage/fuel/compass) and automatic door locks. The Accord's features are comparable or better than the VW Passat. And Accord has the V6 instead of the 1.8 4 cylinder like the Passat. The cost after negotiations on the Accord was much less than the price of the VW Passat. Plus, Honda Finance offers 1.9% finance out for 60 months (if you want that route) whereas VW would not.
