Used 2003 Honda Accord Consumer Reviews
So Much for Honda Reliablity...
This Honda is the second one I've ever owned. And may be the last I'll ever own. I had an Acura before, worked beautifully. So I thought hey, let's buy an Accord. So very disappointed. After taking it to the local dealer and had them swap the wiper motor (factory recall) the LCD display for the clock/temp/cd info stopped working. Every time we hit a bump it'd go in and out. Transmission is NO GOOD. Slips in 2nd and 3rd. And twice quit working all together on the Highway, so very dangerous when suddenly you just lose drive power all together. Don't look to customer service for help, nope, they won't do a thing for you. Car was under 100K miles. I mean come on.
Honda does it again!
My new 2003 Honda Accord is amazing. Everything you need is here...the engine has major pep, the interior is driver friendly, the styling is new and very chic, and the performance and dependability is there. What else do you need?
Move over, Toyota
Having carefully evaluated the top-of- the-line 2003 Toyota Avalon XLS, it is clear to me that the 2003 Honda Accord EX-V6 is better. While the Honda is slightly less roomy, it has the following advantages: More power, a 5- speed automatic, tilt/telescoping steering wheel, more comfortable front seats with 2 heat settings, side curtain air bags, fold-away outside mirrors, fold-down rear seat, etc. I added a dealer-installed automatic mirror (with compass) and fog lights -- both of which turned out very well. And all this costs about $6,000 less than a comparable Toyota Avalon!
Honda Accord EX V6
Every dealership I checked with in SC was charging sticker price. Take it or leave it. Superior Honda sold it for $2000 less than sticker. The rear spoiler adds a little style to an already atractive car. I also added the mud gaurds and a trunk mat but did not get the NAV system figuring it would be outdated long before to car was. The duel climate control is wonderful!
Great Ride!
Mine gets 30-31 mpg. Never had a problem, have 87,000 miles on the odometer. Mine is a 4 banger and it has all the power I need and I drive on I-45 (one of the busiest freeways in Houston) and I can get on the freeways without a problem. Great car!
