Used 1999 Honda Accord Consumer Reviews
Honda Accord- Good Buy
Good engine power: "a lot of get up & go"; classy interior; excellent gas mileage; nice size for traveling (room enough for 5 to travel); there have been a couple recalls i.e. driver seat adjusters; passenger side door lock has been occasionally not working with the power locks (must lock/unlock it manually); well-built car, the body of the car held up well in a fairly bad wreck; overall, I love the car and have very few complaints= excellent buy!
loyal to honda forever
This is my second NEW Honda (my first was a 97 accord) and I am trading it in for my third new Honda this month. I have had NO mechanical problems with it in 72,000 miles. Everything inside the car MAKES SENSE for the driver and the passengers. I never had to worry about whether or not my car would start, or whether I had the power to pass a slow truck on a two-lane mountain road. In fact, my first Honda was nicknamed Balto by my kids - after the incredibly loyal and reliable sled dog from the legend. Bottom line, I LOVE this car, and you will too!
Adequate
I love Honda. This car is my third Honda. This car is pretty sharp looking, but it fails in performance and reliability. I have the 4-cyl and it is pretty slow in 1st and 2nd gears, a little better after 2nd, but not much. Auto Transmission WILL go out before 125,000 miles, no question. Car currently has 120k on it right now and i've rebuilt the transmission and when that didnt' work, put in a new one. Even the new Transmission shifts a little hard. Lastly, this may be an isolated incident, but my non-power seats have broken 3 times and won't lock into place, so the pass. just slides forward and backward while i drive. Over all nice car, Not as reliable as i'd hoped.
accord reliabile but borring
this car will always start and be there when you need it. But the stlying has stayed the same for some years now, and its getting dull very fast.
Best Sedan for the money
Great car. Fast, quiet, reliable. Ergonomics are perfect.
