2024 Ford Ranger Crew Cab Trims Comparison
Trim level differences
The midsize 2024 Ford Ranger comes in a crew-cab configuration with a 5-foot bed. There are four trim levels: XL, XLT, Lariat and Raptor. At launch, there will only be one engine available for the first three trims: a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder that produces 270 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. A more powerful turbocharged 2.7L V6 (315 hp, 400 lb-ft of torque) will also be offered in summer 2024. All trims are offered with rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive except for the Raptor, which comes with 4WD standard. Keep reading for more details on the Ranger's standard features and options.
Which Ranger trim does Edmunds recommend?
We recommend the XLT for most buyers because it opens up the door to a lot of the interior equipment and technology the Ranger offers. If you want the larger infotainment touchscreen and the full suite of safety features, including adaptive cruise control and a superb 360-degree camera system, the XLT offers access to those via packages while the XL does not. The Lariat does offer these features as well, but not at an appealing price.
