Used 2022 Ford Ranger Crew Cab Consumer Reviews
2022 Ranger leaves family stranded in -25 windchil
New ranger quit in a snowstorm. Ten degrees with -25 windchill, snow and 50+ mph winds and it leaves us on the side of the road. The turbo quit... sounds like another Ford (found on road dead) story. Ford refused to let it be towed to my dealer 24 miles away and insisted it go to the closest ford dealer for service 30 miles from my home. I now rate the truck a 1 of 5 and ford a big 0. Uber took us home safely in a Jaguar awd. So, we went to the truck the next day and it started right up and drove away.. will be trading it in next week. Ford=junk. Also, it only gets 19.8 mpg and lower if going over 72 mph. It sucks fuel worse than a v8!!!!!

too many problems
The build quality on these newer rangers is not up to par. The 10 speed is jerky and bogs often, slamming into gears every time I drive. The steering shaft clunks and ford won’t fix it. The driveshaft isn’t greased properly and the two piece design makes for a really rough ride. I don’t trust it to reliably last 5+ years. I’ve owned it for two years so far and will be trading it in sometime soon. It looks really nice though, and the engine does have good pickup.

Love my Ranger!
My 2022 has been the example of reliability. I've had no major issues with my truck and its still on its original tires too! The only downside is the dated infotainment system which is buggy at times. Also, the integration of the Sirius/XM is also buggy with the artist and song name on the dash always buggy and out of sync. The only issue Ive had has been a weird interior bubbling near the shifter, which happened after warranty expire. Also, this shifter bag is cheap plastic and always cracks. Buy an aftermarket leather version…why Ford skimps on that is perplexing. Those are the small downsides. Great truck and my dealer mechanics tell me 2020-2022 are the most reliable trucks they work on.
