Used 2022 Ford Ranger Crew Cab Consumer Reviews
Road trip monster
This truck does truck things well and crossover things ok. If you want a crossover ride and feel buy one. This is a truck that handles 75 mph great for hours at time and WV fire roads that most would call medium off roading just as well. Engine provides more power than you need in this size truck and cruises while loaded to 75% of its payload and grownups fit (looking at you taco). 25 mpg from Florida to DC and back with a week of fun in WV and Va thrown in. Change the oil with full synthetic every 5000 and change the air filter every 30000 and don't drive it like you stole it.
Picked up rental Ranger
The truck had so many zonks. 1. Getting in the truck where normal sized get in is obstructed by the front pillar. you have to contort yourself off balance. 2. This truck trucks throttle response is with delay and moves up and along after you release from the accelerator so you have to watch as the turbo drives itself for a split second. This impacts breaking at needed reaction timing. It was no wonder that when I picked up the the truck it was marked by the rental agency with a ding on the front bumper. The center console was a queer afterthought fitting into the leftover space of the design. The visibility absolutely stunk. Maybe if you are 5'-5" or shorter its better. I'm 5'-11", 240 and this truck was cramped. The truck had little feel for the road when steering it which is probably acceptable to weak arms or hands but I felt like I was being disallowed to make the decision. Back-up visibility was terrible and with the steering a total nuisance. Yes these attributes became recognized to deal with and the truck felt sturdy and strong. But overall the awkwardness was something of a hardship. I think it was designed for more petite folks looking for the strength of a 1/2 ton truck.

Everything you need!
Great midsized truck. The turbo four has plenty of power and rides so smooth. I'm averaging 20 miles to the gallon. That was a big reason I downsized. Love the curb appeal and yes, I look back when I walk away!

Fun reliable drive for seniors
I come from a Ford family, and still have my father‘s one ton 1999 Ford F350 V 10. Now I get to add a 2022 Ford ranger 4 x 4. As a senior citizen, living in snow country and in my late 60s, I feel safe with my new truck. I like that high visibility being on the road as well as the comfort. My son just purchased a 2022 Ford Ranger Tremor after trading in his Ford Ranger 4 x 4 for a truck with more gadgets. I almost purchased old his truck as I love to drive it. Where my 2018 Ford escape had trouble getting out of the driveway when it snowed, his ranger had no problems. Because of the tow package it has a better cooling system, and therefore will not overheat as much as the regular cars especially in the hot deserts of Arizona.
