Used 2021 Ford Ranger Crew Cab Consumer Reviews
XLT Black out trim package
I was driving a GMC Canyon and really liked the truck except the seat comfort. I even had the SLT with leather. I drive 45-50,000 mile/ year and need comfortable seats. I had tested the Ranger when they first came out and transmission issues trying to find gears was a big issue on the test drive. 3 years later, Ford appears to have it corrected. Way more comfortable compared to the GMC. I was concerned about going to a 4 cylinder but I’ve been very impressed. Plenty of power and towels really well. Things I don’t like, doors sound cheap when you close them. Shocks are not very good. Breaks a spongy. These are all relative to the Canyon. I am getting very good gas mileage averaging 25 mpg with a 2 wheel drive model and 70%highway. I liked that I could get a locking rear with a 2 wheel drive model. So far no issues with 8000 miles. Update at 62,000 miles. No issues with the truck so far. Runs great and gas mileage getting 26 mpg based on vehicle computer in mostly highway driving. I use regular unleaded and synthetic oil every 7,000 miles. On my second set of tires (Cooper Evolution). Update at 85,000 miles: Started having some clunking in the transmission and shifting hesitation. After reading on the Ranger forum, sounds like a common issue and Ford often misdiagnoses the problem as a transmission issue. I replaced the EGR sensor ($100 part most people can do) and problem resolved. Several forum members have reported similar results from this fix. Carbon deposits is the assumed cause of the egr sensor problem. Still getting 26-27 mpg. Still on the original breaks. Had transmission fluid and filter replaced at 75,000.

Love my Ranger
Love my 2021 Ford Lariat, this is my favorite truck I've ever bought. I have the towing package and I pull a 4500 pound trailer like a pro. Plenty of power. Just a great truck, looks sharp too

Excellent Truck
2021 Ford Ranger is a truly great truck! Peppy engine and great looks. The dealership was good but with the microchip shortage they were not willing to negotiate anything. Other than that the truck was great at a good price plus with the Ford points you get with a new car purchase (42,000) which equate to $220 i got a great deal on the bedliner. Couldn't be happier with the purchase! I haven't seen a better deal at any other dealership or online.

Second childhood!
Oh I am an 72 year old woman that always wanted a neat pickup. Well I found it in my little red Ranger. Some tell me I should move up to a F150 but I say no way. I love the chrome rims and I keep them clean, so when the sun hits them. The F150 guys can't seem to stay on the road. My Ranger is bright red, 4x4 and loves to play in the snow! What a great truck! I love it... really love giving someone a run for their money off those red lights. Its got pick up! Still love the Ranger it has over 47000 miles on it now. Looking to get a small camping trailer to pull with it. Still ladies you want some fun but yet something to haul things, get a Ranger its the best!
