Used 1994 Ford Probe GT 2dr Hatchback Consumer Reviews
The Pink Probe
I bought this car about 2 months ago and have had nothing but problems. This car has 164,000 miles on it. The engine is very healthy but everything else is falling apart. The transmission is very fickle and can never decide what gear to be in. The anti-lock light is on on the dash. The brakes make weird noises. The sunroof is rusting badly. The interior is absolutely falling apart and makes all sorts of funky clunking and cracking noises. The AC makes horrid noises and barely works. In Florida, this is not good! I will never by a Ford Probe GT again and don't recommend them to anyone. Horrible choice.
94 probe
No mechanical problems in 8 years and 90,000 mi. Couldn't have bought a better car.
still turns heads
I have the GT model. I like the power but you would expect a V6 not work to hard, as it does in the probe. For a '94 It is in really good shape. The struts that support the hatch needed replacement. The O2 sensor went bad. The brakes all around were replaced before I took the car. The ride is harsh, but I had 17s put on the car. The car is really bad in snow. But it eats up twisty roads with no problem. Overall with some aftermarket product this car can standout. My old turbo GT was much more fun and downright quick compared to this model.
Lots of fun
I have had my GT for over a year. It now has around 140,000 miles and still runs great. Of course, I have put a lot of money in repairs, but it remains an absolutely wonderful car to drive.
I love my PGT
My '94 PGT has over 155,000 miles on it and still runs great. The engine has a lot of wear and tear on it with all those miles like oil burning, but it starts everytime i want it to, the tires spin when want them to, and she is quick and fast. I love to driving ever since I purchased my probe because it is the funnest car i have ever driven.
