1998 GT Convertible Gem

Just bought a 1998 Gt Convertible with ONLY 27,750 MILES ! It was a 2 owner. Previous owner bought it off the showroom in 2000 with only 1600 miles on it. It has never seen snow and it looks and drives like new. Having new tires put on ( original tires on it figure after 23 years should be replaced but they still have decent tread on them). I was very fortunate to find such a gem. Highly recommend keep searching if you are in the market. This beauty has always been garage kept. It is a blast to drive. Highly recommend this car for reliability and parts are easy to find and get if needed. This car is 100% stock. I recommend avoiding too much aftermarket parts when buying. Do all that after you buy (if that is your thing). Good luck out there !

I drove by an dealership & saw this black mustang that caught my eye. I asked to see it, the guys started it and i fell in love! The rumble beats a Harley & I can drive a car! lol This was my 15 yr daughter's dream car and I had no idea until I heard that rumble there is no sweeter sound. She is fast and furious and is a great car. I had male friends want to race etc at my age lol so i got chrome that says "size matters" and put it under the GT 4.6LT on the side it looks like it was made that way and in the back window reads in vinyl "STEP ASIDE BOYS" This has been fun! Like no other car I have had! worried about the snow, heard they are bad in snow! This is a must have car! It's awesome!

Disappointed

After saving for 3 years for the car of my dreams I fell in love with a black beauty. The handling and styling was perfect, but then things started happening. I noticed after I had the car about 3 years, the paint started to peel off of the rocker pannels and now it is pealing off of the doors. I can not take it to a high pressure car wash, it leaks around the windows. When I told ford dealership about this they said oh it is a ford defect we know about it and have done nothing to fix the problem.

1998 Mustang V6

I have a 1998 Mustang w/ the 3.8 V6. I got it in September 2006 so it's been 3 years now. It's a pretty good car. I got it from a family member with only 46,000 miles on it in 2006. Now it has 88,000. I've had to replace the tires, and the brakes, windshield, along with the rear differential fluid twice. Other than those things the car has been virtually maintenance free. It's by no means a comfortable car. You feel every bump in the road. The seats are uncomfortable for long drives and it doesn't handle that great. I average about 22 miles per gallon mixed use. I'm not really a sports car kinda person... I think I'll go with something with four doors and better fuel economy...

I just got a 98 5spd V6, and its been a decent car. The fact that it has 215ft/lbs of torque, and an open differential makes driving in the rain less than pleasurable. Handling is subpar as well for a sports car. I have autocrossed it, and while the torque makes up for the lack of horsepower, the handling drags your times down significantly. With some upgrades, it could be a stellar car, but why upgrade it when I can get a better handling and faster car such as the Miata or 300ZX for the same price. All in all, its a decent car that will take a beating, but don't expect it to be a true spors car. This isn't a true sports car, but if you want a sporty cruiser, then this will satisfy you
