Fun Car

I bought this car at the beginning of 2008 and I had no problems in the snow. During the following year I drove it as my daily driver in blizzards and snow storms and I didn't get in any accidents. To those afraid of rear wheel drive, just be careful and keep the drifting to impress your friends and your sweetheart at a reasonable speed in the snow and you'll be fine. I drove a year and a half with very little maintenance. I had to replace the power window regulator, but other than that I don't recall any work I had to do other than maintenance until I reached about 140,000 and I found oil in the coolant reservoir(head gasket) so I upgraded to the more dependable, and older 5.0 V8

Great Value

I just bought a Mustang as my first car. It is a great value for your money and a stylish car at that. It isn't bad for fuel economy with its large 3.8L engine. I recommend.

It has its problems

I am a college student, and if i had it to do over again, i would have bought the exteneded service that the dealer offered with it. It would have saved in the long run. Anyway, my story begins with a broken speedometer, i have had two different dealerships look at it, and neither can give me a good answer to fix my problem. they have both said to replace the cluster, i have put two other clusters in it, and neither have fixed the problem. also it die's when coming to a stop. i would also recommend a different car if you are a college student (i know your not paying attention anymore) because of the high insurance... sorry, thats just how it is.

I WAITED A LONG TIME FOR THIS FUN CAR!

Forty years ago, I wanted a Mustang convertible! But after the late 60's, I didn't like the body style. When it changed in 1995, I was determined once again to own one. This is probably the most "FUN" car I've ever owned, and its classic lines really get the looks. The interior could've used more thoughtful designing, and the gas mileage isn't the greatest, even with a six-cylinder automatic (not my first choice, but I bought it used). I love driving it and plan to do so for awhile yet....until I can afford the retro 2005!

Dry Weather Car

If you want to drive this car in the snow or rain; go slow! Traction is reduced due to the classic light Mustang rear end, and fish tail you will! Fun in dry weather, though. Low end torque is okay, don't try to pass anyone in 4th or 5th gear, the acceleration isn't there (very sluggish or non-existent, down shift -- or GET A GT!) Also, lightweight body means that you feel the gusty cross winds (at times, I felt like I was driving an Escort). Cornering is not very good, hydraulic assist steering gives feel of sports car, but still in the "not quite there" category. I've been stranded 4 times in this car: clutch, transmission, radiator, thermostat all failed catastrophically.
