Used 2016 Ford Fusion Energi SE Luxury 4dr Sedan (2.0L 4cyl gas/electric plug-in hybrid CVT) Consumer Reviews
Plug-In Hybrid - a real surprise
Both of our cars were becoming expensive to own and we decided to try and transition to a one-car family. Having owned a Hybrid before, we wanted to replace our cares with something somewhat eco-friendly. Our search put us into a this Energi. As an avid researcher, my expectations were clear. My wife was not so clear on hers, mostly she was going with the flow. After much trepidation, a AAA Pre-Purchase Inspection, and driving the car on TWO one-day test drives fom the dealership, we purchased it with 82,000 miles. WOW! It's a joy to drive, solid, quiet, and COMFORTABLE? We both have had back surgeries and every time my wife gets into the car with me she says "I can't believe how comfortable these seats are!" We love it. We' put almost 200 miles on it so far and even with only a 20 mile EV range, can barely see the gas tank needle moving. What a great vehicle.

Electrical and programming issues
At first this car was great until the brain went out. When I say brain I mean the center console navigation controls everything. It has the rear view camera, controls Bluetooth, ac unit radio so basically all the electrical components. It went out and dealership cannot repair it. My car has been in the shop three weeks now. If you want to pay for a vehicle that spends alot of time in the shop I recommend this car. If not buy a Hyundai or Kia cause they have a great warranty plan. Ford Corporate and finance we're no help at all. All you get is the run around because it's a electric vehicle and dealerships only have one technican at each facility that work on these vehicles. I'm a very frustrated and unhappy customer.

Good car overall but some frustrating issues.
I have had this car for a year and a half. I bought it used in good condition. There are a couple of things that annoy me enough to write a review about and consider trading it in. 1. I bought the car online and did not realize the trunk space is a joke! The hybrid battery takes up nearly the entire trunk leaving no room for groceries/stuff. 2. The buttons for the gas and electric ports are extremely touchy and in a weird spot so I’m constantly touching them by accident and popping the gas and electric port covers open. 3. The electric plug in feature is a joke in the winter time and only gets about 2 miles in the winters where I live. Also, ground clearance is low so the car has a very difficult time in the snow. I only recommend this car for a summer commuter driver or if you live somewhere that it is warm and doesn’t snow much. 4. Acceleration is good and the leather seats are comfortable with decent leg room. 5. Does not come with an actual tire changing kit, I don’t recommend this vehicle if you live in the country as I got stuck waiting 4 hours on the side of the highway because I couldn’t change the tire since it doesn’t even have space in the trunk for a spare donut tire and comes with a ridiculous slime kit that is not adequate. 6. My recommendation for this vehicle is that it is a good commuter vehicle for someone who lives in a warm climate, does not need trunk space. Lives in a city as city fuel mileage is excellent. This is a nice looking comfortable car for city commuting in the summer. Beyond that, it’s not suitable.
