Used 2013 Ford Focus S 4dr Sedan (2.0L 4cyl 5M) Consumer Reviews
Worst Car in the World
Do not buy this car! A complete rip off. Our car is in the shop every week. Problems with the computer cause issues with the rest of the car and it’s all downhill from there. It is a money pit and I advise anyone wanting to save time and money, DON’T BUY THIS VEHICLE. I will never own a Ford again.

Terrible Experience for a first car purchase
Well I purchased this vehicle in 2012 with excitement for my first new car! What a disappointment I have nothing but problems with this cars transmission, air conditioner, clutch, electrical fuses and now the transmission mount. The transmission mount broke and cause the engine to fall/shift while driving. I was scared to death with my 1 year old son in the car and the engine falls in mid motion. This car is a joke. FORD THIS UNACCEPTABLE!!! RECALL PLEASE

A car designed with contempt for its purchasers
I bought a 2013 Ford Focus as a new car eight years ago. Prior to purchasing, I had read some favorable reviews about the Focus and it seemed to be a good value. At first, I loved the vehicle but soon noticed that it shifted strangely which improved a little after a computer adjustment was done at the dealership. After owning the car for about a year or so, I started to learn that many other Focus owners were having transmission problems. I also discovered that it the transmission was sealed so the fluid could never be changed. This sounded absurd to me and certainly an indicator of planned obsolescence. As someone who normally keeps vehicles as long as possible, I realized then that buying the Focus was a terrible mistake. Since I no longer have a daily commute, I have put little mileage on the vehicle in the past four years. Due to limited driving, I managed to get eight years out of the vehicle. A few months ago, the clutch had to replaced at around 60K miles. Last month, the transmission control module failed and the car has been sitting at the shop due to the part being on back order. If it ever gets out of the shop, I plan to sell the vehicle although it really should be taken to the scrap yard since it is likely to have endless transmission issues. Like the exploding Ford Pinto back in the 1970's, the Focus was a car designed with contempt for its purchasers. I have absolutely zero confidence in the Ford Motor Company and will never consider buying one of their products again.

Beware of transmission
Ford admits to "shuddering" and "rough shifting" vehicle is not comfortable the head seats can not be removed to clean seat the gas mileage is around 19 city for me with 87 octane and around 15 with Ethanol. Don't believe me? Test drive today.
