Used 2007 Ford Focus Consumer Reviews
Ford Focus Review
my 2007 ford focus has had nothing but problems with it i looked up online and they have problems with the transmission and alternator going bad around 40-50 thousand miles it is only 4yrs old. so i called bill pierre ford in lake city and i told them how many problems i have had with the car and heard they would fix it for free since there were so many people this was happening to well they were nothing but rude and not willing to help even though they have replaced other peoples transmissions when theirs went out I am so beyond myself right now I am forking out over $3,000 to repair my car. NEVER again will I buy a ford and I will make sure to tell anyone I know to never buy one. worst car I have ever had
The worst car in automotive history
This cars electrical system is a nightmare. The alternator blew out 4 times in first year(6000mi). Now the battery warning light comes on randomly. Repair shops can't figure out whether its the alternator, voltage regulator, or battery. I'v installed new batteries 4 times. The parts for this car come from different sources all over the world. The whole design of the electrical system is moronic. I will never buy another Ford or any American car. From now on its Toyoto or Honda. One last note, the $2000 extended warranty that dealer [non-permissible content removed] try to sell you are totally worthless. Update: I recently found out that this car was made in China, from parts all over the world which were not compatable. Idiot lights still come on and off at random.

Good ride, unprdictable reliablity
I bought my ZX3 brand new in May, '07. Loved it. Great on gas and heavy power for its engine size and rating. I could smoke many Cobalts and others in its class. Don't know about a Dodge Neon or Cobalt SS. Everything was awesome until about 7 months into ownership when it developed problems with the fuel system. When you'd fill up with gas it wouldn't want to crank. It was at the dealership I know of 8 times for this issue from the beginning of '08 to July '09 and the problem has recently recurred. I used to be a very big Ford fan recommending them to everybody. This ownership experience with this car and this dealership has put an end to that.
Many small issues add up to an expensive mess.
It's seems this vehicle has lots of cheaply made parts that have a tendency to break. For example, the latch to the door handle, the sensors for the airbag, the air filter box. It seems this is a heap of garbage around the engine. I've never had these .any issues with a car. And sure it's not like anything major went wrong, but it adds up and strange design elements like the air filter box cause things to be more expensive.

I can't wait to dump this *&$^%& car!
Bought this car brand new in 2007. I currently have 88k miles on it, had problems from the start. Had to get front axle replaced covered under warranty. Replaced tires twice because the suspension wears the tires fast and I have blown two out hitting pot holes. One thing I found is this car does not like the cold. The fan on the heater squeaks, dashboard rattles, steering wheel shakes. Car makes every groan and squeak possible. Had to replace the lug nuts because tires were about to fall off. Antenna fell off, drives door doesn't lock/unlock with remote. Replaced alternator and battery at 80k miles. Screw on the shifter fell off and I could literally pull it off...dont buy this car ...
