Used 2005 Ford Focus Consumer Reviews
Great car, fun to drive, ZX4 ST Focus
Great car loaded with features if you get the ST. Fun to drive 0 to 60 in 7.5 seconds. Car listed for $19,790 loaded up, got it for $15,000 with rebates and employee pricing. Had to tint the windows darker. Get the side air bags for extra safety. Has a great sound, you can hear the exhaust, unlike Hondas and Toyotas. Who wants a car that does not sound cool? This car has it all, looks, speed, great sound for a 4 cylinder.
fun to drive
3 months owning the car and am more impressed than when I first bought it. MPG holding in the upper 20s, handles like a dream with a responsive Mazda engine. Hopefully the engine will last like my 13 year old Miata, which @ 140,000 miles is almost indestructible. Ford is doing their homework to compete with the imports.

2005 Focus
Bought the car new for $11,000 under the Ford employee-discount sale. It's roomy inside, even for the rear seat, and it's practical and fun to drive. Early on there was a problem with the manual shift linkage that took a few tries to be fixed properly, but there haven't been any other troubles with the car since then. It's a very nice car for the money.
The Perfect Car
What a smooth ride! It's FAST and MANEUVERABLE and has great stopping power. It looks GREAT and turns heads. It's very sporty.
Focus ZX3
Took delivery of the second-least expensive version of the Focus available less than a month ago, a ZX3 S manual with air conditioning. With incentives, it had a no-haggle price of $11,062 (plus taxes, tags, and dealer charges). Toss in the car's roomy interior and great ride and handling, and the car seems like a winner. However, since we took delivery of the car, a problem with the manual transmission has appeared no fewer than five times, requiring three trips to the dealer that have yet to solve the problem. Hopefully this and any other problems with the car aren't widespread. Shoppers: it's worth counting on that to get what is probably the best small-car buy out there.
