I drive this truck approx. 200 miles a day 6 days a week. It has plenty of power and plenty of room. I average 21 to 24 mpg on powerstroke 6 liter diesel. I went though a Dodge Dakota quad cab, which was a good small truck, then a Chev.Silverado, which was very uncomfortable, and now this Ford is the truck of my dreams. I have no regrets in buying this truck it is excellent.

I love the 6.0l. Never had any problem. I heard alot of negative talk about this at first. That's just the anti-ford people talking. Great engine, more torque, great trans, quieter and cheaper to modify than chevy or dodge. Ford is simply the best.

purchased my f-250 with the 5.4 liter. i was woried at first that there wouldnt be enough power for a vehicle of this size but it actuly is just fine. I tow from time to time but never any more than 7000 pounds so i went withe the 5.4 liter. i get about 10 mpg in the city and 15-16 one the highway 70-80 mph. I love this truck has all the room you could ever want. the wife wanted an suv and i wanted a truck so we compromised and got the crew cab. also got the long bed mostly for the extra fuel capacity (38 gallons). I do recomend geting the step bars and the reverse vehicle sensor. due to the height and lenght of the vehicle. trust me you want them!!

This is my 3rd PSD since 99 and it is my favorite. The 6.0 motor and 5spd auto tranny is incredibly strong and solid. I consistently receive 18+ mpg with the cruise set at 80. The only way you can tell my 5000# boat is behind it is by looking in the TT mirrors. At least in the south Ford can sell these trucks w/o 0% for 60 months so they have outstanding resale compared to a Duramax or Cummins.

F250 w/ 7.3 L Diesel is a WINNER!!!

Powertrain is a proven winner. 7.3L Power Stroke is hands down the best light duty diesel every produced. Auto transmission is ultra smooth and distributes power well from the diesel. Crew cab interior room is phenominal. Payload and towing capacities are great. XLT Sport package is great. Chrome step bars are a great accent. Sound system rocks. No problems yet. GREAT fuel economy with the Diesel. I could have had the 6.0L CAT Diesel, but decided to go with the proven KING of diesel, the 7.3L. The 6.0L CAT has some big shoes to fill. BUY THIS TRUCK. Traded in my 2002 Dodge Ram (JUNK) for it. Have never looked back!!!
