Even better than my Tundra
Excellent interior; easy access; driver friendly controls; great power; love the rear view camera for hooking up a trailer; handles extremely well for a big truck - a little floaty without a load, but holds the road very well. Mileage better than expected for this size truck with the 5.0 engine. Have now - November 2016 - put 17k miles on my F 150, including towing a cargo trailer from South Florida to PA. Continue to be very satisfied. As reviews have stated, the 5.0 requires a kick in the butt under load, but still delivers. Mileage drops from around 20=21 on the highway to around 13 towing a 6x12 loaded cargo trailer and with the truck (8ftbed) loaded as well, but it is still a pleasure to drive. Don't find SYNC 3 very creative with my Apple phone - in fact the Garmin navigator I use is much better integrated with the phone than the truck. Hoping for software updates that will improve functionality between the iPhone and SYNC3. Very low oil consumption - 1/2 qt approx up to first oil change, but none since then. Will soon have experience with cold weather operation,, doubt the OEM tires (Wrangler M+S) will be adequate, but we will see. After 40k miles, a couple of comments: volume control for radio on dash stopped working at about 36k, after warranty. No other problems and truck has been great in all weather. Use Blizzaks in winter and we had a lot of snow in the Poconos last winter, but truck performed flawlessly. Never have been able to get the infotainment system to use Apple Car Play with my phone, not sure whether this is a function of my ignorance or failure of software in the truck to update.

Fix Or Repair Daily
The Auto Start/Stop feature is awful. It’s supposed to shut the engine down when sitting in an idle stopped position and then start back up when stepping on the gas. The problems with this feature.... It wants to shut the engine down when even coming to a stop sign. It’s supposed to disable itself when towing. It doesn’t do this. All of this stopping and starting can’t be good on the engine. Then worst of all. The only way to disable the feature....by pushing a button to turn it off. The catch here. It does NOT disable it for good for you. You have to push the button to turn it off each and every time you start the truck. So, if you enjoy pushing a button to turn off this feature every single time you start the truck, then this may be the toy for you. Next problem. I had the truck for 2-1/2 years and the transmission went already. My guess, this Auto Start/Stop feature ruined the transmission, as expected. Last problem. Ford can’t seem to fix the truck or be easily accessible to get in touch with for help. The truck went through three dealership to repair the truck in two weeks. I have tried contacting Ford to get some customer satisfaction service. Good luck with that, if you buy a Ford! (You would probably have better luck with getting in touch with President Trump, then the Ford bozos.) I have spoken with at least a dozen Ford reps, had 5 case numbers opened. And each time I tried getting a hold of Ford by calling, I could never could get through to them. They will gladly provide you an extension number. But when you call Ford and put in the extension number you want. You get the person is unavailable, continue to hold or take the next available rep. Do you really want to explain your issue with a different rep each time you call Ford? I sure don’t! And if you don’t? Do NOT buy a Ford! Eulogy - Bought: October 2016 - Died and sold back to Ford Dealership July 2019. (Yep, not even three years old.) The 2016 Ford F-150 has since passed from my life. The piece of junk couldn't even last through its warranty, or loan payments. It cost me a bundle in purchasing it, and then having to sell it back to the dealer at a loss 2 years and 9 months into the ownership. I took a huge loss with it dying on me. Selling it back to Ford and then having to go and start all over again - by buying another new truck, at least 3-5 years before I was expecting to, by starting at square one with a new truck loan payments. I will NEVER buy another Ford! Buyers BEWARE!!! Update. It’s been a year now without the 2016 Ford F-150 JUNK, that died on me 2 years and 9 miles and 56,000 miles into ownership. (Before my loan was even paid off.) I bought a 2019 Toyota Tundra, which my wife and I love! This hauls our camper a lot better than the Ford F-150. And I am sure the Toyota Tundra will give us years and miles of lasting quality. For I own a 2013 Toyota Camry, which is going on 7 years and 140,000 miles of providing me a quality built vehicle. Twice as long any Ford ever lasted for me. (And well longer AFTER my loan was paid off! It’s nice owning a vehicle that lasts years past the loan is paid off.) Something that is rarely done with Fords. One more thing I would like to add. Edmunds keeps sending me emails asking me to update my review on this piece of junk 2016 Ford F-150 XLT that I no longer have. Thanks for keep reminding of this Ford nightmare and their junk! The piece of junk Ford 2016 F-150 XLT didn’t even last beyond 55,000 before dying on me. I guess this is why Ford had to change their slogan from “Built Ford Tough” to “Built Ford Proud”. Cause their trucks definitely are NOT built tough. And Ford will gladly tell you they are proud of their products. Cause they will be impossible to get a hold of when you do have any problems with their junk. And they are proud they built their products to keep returning you to their dealerships every 55,000 miles to buy a new Built Ford Proud vehicle. Cause that is what they want...to keep you giving them more and more of your hard earned money buying a new vehicle every couple of years. DON’T BUY FORD!!!

2.7 ecoboost sends intermittent fumes into the cab
It sounds like the same problem that some new Ford Explorers have experienced. But, that problem is a vent design flaw that the F150 doesn't have. The dealer, of course, can't duplicate it. My daughter and I nearly choked to death. It happens on the freeway, or under heavy acceleration. There's also a raw gasoline smell when exiting the freeway on a long offramp deceleration. Electrical dash problems come and go. Driver window auto up, sometimes goes up and down a few times when pressed. Auto stop works about half the time. Dealer can't duplicate, so can't repair.

WOW - New King Ranch 4WD Supercrew
I'll start by saying I rarely write reviews for anything, but this truck is really exceptional. I have researched all the competitors for months, and have owned many trucks in the past (Avalanche, Silverado's, just came out of a 2014 Expedition). Let me say Ford really nailed it with this truck! It is beyond comfortable, easy to drive, the technology is just amazing, and it looks fantastic. The Ecoboost engine is unbelievably quick (Edmunds did not have a selection for a King Ranch Ecoboost for the review). Just towed my 24ft camper with it easily. My only wish is although I love the full sunroof I would have preferred an option for a smaller one to be able to put in an overhead DVD player, but that's very minor. The rear seats fold up with one touch and the fold flat floor is great. The massaging seats really sold my wife on it. Showed it off to family and they were simply amazed. Would like to see Ford incorporate the coil springs like the Ram but the ride is really decent, not at all as jittery as many reviews make it sound. The Avalanche had a great ride and this is very comparable. Don't hesitate to buy this truck, no other comes close.

8k miles on my 2016, flawless
I looked at most other trucks, owned a F250 crew diesel shortbed in the past, must say, this beat it out. quite, smooth, great acceleration, roomy, all the technology gizmos you could ever think of. Easy to get in and out of, very comfortable for long rides, 700 miles out of a take of fuel, kids love the space in the back. Have not towed with it, but the power is amazing for a 6 or 8 for that matter. very responsive throttle. I got rid of my X6 BMW and got this truck. No regrets. 5.6 sec 0-60, just a smig slower than the x6 with 500 HP. Better MPG than the BMW too.... love the truck.....
