The selector for this review didn't give the right option for my truck. I have a F-150 XLT Super Cab 2x4 eco boost engine, currently 36,000 miles, shorter cab and longer bed because I am using this truck to tow a light weight (7200 lb dry weight, 9500 lbs loaded) 34' fifth wheel RV. This truck pulls my RV with ease, so far I have towed about 9000 miles from the flat (and sometimes windy) lands of Kansas to the mountain passes of over 10 and 11,000 feet with absolutely no problems. I can tow as fast as I want 60-70 mph, even using cruise control. MPG highway 20-23, towing 8-11. This is working perfectly for our needs.

Bought this truck used with 32k it now has just over 60k, it was involved in an accident but you'd never know and I got a smoking price, bragging rights over now an honest review. I tow a demo trailer (6000lbs) and the power is unbelievable for a V6. the handling is great also. My father in law has a 2007 with the triton V8 and there is no comparison when it comes to handling. Mind you i'm a huge fan of the triton knowing they turn 200k regularly. We will see with eco-boost. So far its been great, I have the XLT crew cab with short bed. I do mostly highway driving and the MPG is about 15.8MPG when I'm not towing and about 9MPG when I'm towing in the Midwest. I do about 70MPH with the trailer on and 80MPH with it off. This is the first vehicle i've had with a turbo, its great. sometimes you will notice a lag if you drop off the gas and then hammer down. They can be a little noisy at times but the power is incredible considering its a V6, so I take that into consideration. Seats are comfortable and the center console reminds me of my old bronco (big square box).

I owned an 05 F150 before; but now my 2013 F150 Lariat 4x4 is great! best truck ever. I love the option to put in 4 wheel (AWD). So many features and not enough time to use them all... Ive had my 13' F150 for 5 years now with 90,000 miles. No problems, nothing ever wrong. Just oil changes and tires. The horsepower is out of this world! Literally throws you back in your seat. Its quick!! Ride is very soft even with a 2 1/2 " leveling kit. 33" tires

V6 ecoboost torture test joke!

I was skeptical, but due to a great deal offered by a local dealer to move last years new models - I bought in. Shame on me for believing the ford propaganda videos on this engine. Series of 6 “torture test”videos that can be found archived on YouTube. Watch those. Impressive huh? My ecoboost was treated to the best oil/filters money could buy and always changed on time and maintained. It’s duty cycle was not to haul, tow, or even work. Needed to simply carry my carcass 80mi r/t to work every day. 99% highway miles. Easiest duty cycle any vehicle could ask for. $3200 timing chain repair at 90k, and the engine ultimately gave up (rod bearing/oil pump/etc) at 177k. Truck still looked showroom new in/out. Sold as-is at a huge loss rather than continue on with this nonsense engine. 100% junk. Loved this vehicle in every other way. Still highly suggest f150 but v8 for me this time around. They may have improved on the ecoboost since 2013 (or not). You would be wise to search the ford/f150/ecoboost forums for timing chain posts and read. It’s certainly not just my experience ;)

Compare with other trucks, head and shoulders better than the competition. I traded a BMW X6M in on this, no regrets at all.
