Great Truck, Bad MPG
I purchased my 2012 F150 XLT S-Crew 2x4 with the 3.7 V6 in February and already got rid of it. First off, I love F150's and FORD. Great value, look great, have nice build quality, etc. They have proven reliable in the past as all I have owned is FORD's. This 2012 with the 3.7 dropped the ball big time on MPG. I drive like a grampa and the EPA estimates are way off. I was able to get 22mpg highway with cruise control at 65 for the whole tank on a long trip once. Around town MPG dropped to 13.5 which is unacceptable. The 3.7 is fast though... faster than my old 5.4 v8. Traded the truck for a 4 cyl Tacoma that actually gets EPA estimates.
Nicest truck I have ever owned and drove...but
This truck is amazing but my only complaint is the negative reviews on Ecoboost engines are correct but I do have a warranty five year on it s

2nd best truck, I have owned
Bought my truck brand new at the dealer ,have now had it for 7+ years, no big problems with it ,just little cosmetic things like the 4x4 shifter nob breaking off (bad placement from ford right behind the gear shift).5.0 engine really does the job well, good mpg, lots of power, no problems with the transmission ,super comfy ride . Time will tell if it holds up to my old 88 f-150,it had over 300,000 and still going. I have been offered top dollar for to trade it in ,but I will not get rid of "Emma" to good a truck to say goodbye.

Look out!!!
Ford will not stand behind the high pressure fuel pump!!! 110k on truck and it blows without warning!! Service was up to date and it fails going down the road!! Very dangerous for anyone put in that situation by a piece of crap pump system!! Oh and by the way, it only cost me yes me 8500 to get it back on the road!! For a 70plus thousand dollars truck it’s not worth the risk!! Cost me my truck and a lot of money!! Read online about the pump situation and you’ll see it’s been going on for a long long time!! I drove a 2002 f250 diesel 398k miles 7.3 motor and never had an issue other than standard maintenance!! Should have kept it and would still be driving a ford diesel!! SO DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND LOOK OUT BECAUSE EVEN WITH A LIFETIME WARRANTY THE FORD STILL WANT COVER THE HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP!! Aggravated is not the words to describe my feelings but I’ll leave it at that!!

Fords Warranty is a bad joke
I have had my new truck for 6 months and till a week ago I thoroughly enjoyed it. It has developed a crack in the grille surround that even the dealer has said looks like a stress crack. This happens when something is overtightened when it is built. The dealer took pictures of the crack and sent them to Detroit. Ford told the dealer to tell me it was normal for the hood to crack when the hood is closed and that they would not cover it under warranty. The truck is 6 months old, has less then 7000 miles on it and Ford will not replace a $300.00 grille on a $42,000 truck still under bumper to bumper warranty. What will Ford do if I drop a transmission while under warranty? Ignore me again?
