I bought this truck in 2005 after originally wanting an Expedition, but I absolutely love it. I am still driving it but am looking for something new. It got me through college several states from home and a huge move for a new job even more states away from home. It has been very dependable, however it is just getting old and many small annoying things are starting to go wrong with it. For spending most of its life in Midwest winters it has surprisingly little rust on the body and still looks great. I regret having to get rid of it but it has served its purpose very well and is an extremely comfortable ride. I definitely want to stick with another vehicle about the size of this.

I have 132,000 miles on my Ford and it is still running strong. The exceleration is very good and is a very comfortable highway tourer. The only money I have invested in it is a H2O pump and brakes...the only real flaw I have with the vehicle is the brakes. As front disc only they wear out way to fast for my likeing. I have towed over 5000 pounds cross country on four occasions and the car performed well, only bogged out hitting the big hills and crossing the Rockies.

got my 1994 ford explorer eddie bauer. needed about $1500 worth of repair. After that, can't complain much more. Once you push her past 70 MPH it starts shaking violently and makes a ticking noise. It also gets bad city MPG. The factory speakers are also poor quality. Other than that, it is a fun car to pile in a cruise around in, good 4x4, fun to drive.

Purchased this vehicle used in 1997 with 36,000 miles.. It has been a reliable vehicle overall. It now has 138,000+ and still going strong. It doesn't use oil, Transmission is still original (serviced every 40,000 miles). New radiator this past year and waterpump. Had a problem with water temp. gauge in 2003; new circuit board fixed problem. Only complaint is auto hubs went bad (plastic components) and would cost approx.$800.00 to fix from Ford dealer. Had manual hubs installed for half the price.

My explorer has 135000 miles on it and never gives me any trouble. Just routine maintenance. I had a Tempo that hit over 100000 and never gave me any trouble either. I am the typical soccer mom and this totes tons of kids and equipment. Ol' Bessie has been a well loved member of our family. Has made 2 trips across the USA and back! We will keep this car till it dies!
