Used 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac Consumer Reviews
2004 SporTrac
The SporTrac is a pleasure to drive. Literally drives like a car, but still can haul with the bed. However, steering is a bit wobbly, meaning, not as tight as in my old '99 Ford Ranger. Love the increased horsepower and 5 speed auto transmission. Sometimes you really have to put the pedal to the metal in order to shift into a higher gear. Other than the above, I would buy another one
LUV THIS TRUCK
I have owned Ford Trucks in the past, but nothing compares to this truck. Smoothe ride, smoothe engine, smoothe looking. All the attributes of a full size SUV and the convenience of a pick up truck can be found in this truck. The fuel economy could be alittle better, but with a tonneau cover and K&N filter this can be improved a bit. It is worth the trade off on the fuel economy because the truck looks and rides great.

MY XLT
I love this truck. It is perfect for all I need it to do. Not too big and bulky, as the gas sucking testosterone laden trucks out there. It carries my family and I comfortably, all 5 of us. My family and I enjoy it's versitility. We use it for fishing and camping trips, the shorter, smaller bed being just the right fit for us. This is a great compact truck.
Good but be ready to compromise
The truck has a number of great features, and pretty fun to drive. But it also has its share of The truck is great for hauling goods, and going out on excursions. I would like more quality in performance though, lower interior noise, better acceleration, and better handling. It needs 4 wheel independent suspension, and better gas mileage.
A Great All Round Vehicle
There is nothing about this vehicle that I don't like. It looks great on the inside and on the outside, has a comfortable ride and performs great.
